Terms have been agreed with Cornet ahead of a move to us.

No agreement with Burnley 'yet'. That report seems to predate the latest Everton something for nothing negotiating strategy.

Just listened to El Bobble he said the player wants to join us and terms are agreed on a long term deal but still negotiating with Burnley he went on to say keep an eye out for Burnleys squad who have travelled on pre season if Cornet has gone it could show negotiations are not going well.

Hi Ed, I get confused with the rules and regs around speaking to players whom are in contract with more than 6months remaining on their deal. Can you still speak with their agent and ‘sound’ them out that way or do you still have to liaise with the owning club first as so to not to breach ‘illegal approach’ rules?

Thanks Ed, it’s all very baffling isn’t it as if it’s true that for example : We have not got an agreement with Cornet, therefore we have gone to his agent, put our personal terms to them and it’s then been agreed, for this information to get out into the public domain is shockingly frightening. Some people lie for years and it never gets out yet everyone seems to know when terms are agreed with someone! It’s as if people want the info to be leaked ?.

Terms agreed with Cornet but we as usual mess up! Cornet to Fulham! Why can't they leave this stuff to Threl!
