Let's face it we all have plenty of experience now of the manager being sacked. Generally it takes the hieracy 3-4 weeks to settle on a manager with week 1-2 spent with various random people claiming Everton have made contact.

Unfortunately we will have only two who would want the job, Rooney and Lampard and they would see it as a stepping stone to a bigger club. They would get experience and if they succeed even in a small way it would further their carriers and if they fail they would get a big reverence fee and everyone would say what do you expect, it's Everton. Over-the-hill managers would only come for a big final pay check, we don't want one of those. The good ones with carriers to protect would not touch us with a barge pole.
