Ed, would he have wanted to leave if we had a different manager? Didn’t he sign a new contract last year so he must have been happy at that point.

Not so much the transfer fee but wages off the books. Confrontational is Benitez style owners/ boards should know this when they hire the Mourino/ Benitez type of Manager.

Right now I'll believe it when it's done. Way we've been, it's probably a 3 yr loan with us paying his wages.
