Hes apparently said he wants to go to inter. I've read their main target is no longer an option for to injury and they are likely to turn their attention that way. Even without that, where are we being that kind of money from. I'm crossing this one off my wishlist.

It’s not the fee, it’s the wages that are the problem. We can’t add to our wage bill without getting players off it first.

I’m sure the fee would be a problem Bob.

If we’re struggling with ffp how we would be able to pay such a large fee without worsening our current plight?

Not sure many teams would be willing to let a player go and be paid for him in a season or twos time -I know some transfers are staggered and don’t necessarily pay the fee all at once however they’d want some of the fee upfront as many teams would want the money as soon as possible to ease their own financial pressures.

Also if we could afford the £32m fee but the wages would be the issue then why aren’t we looking to buy a player for say £20m and pay him £4m per year (£75k per week) on a 3yr deal? Wouldn’t that be similar to paying a £32m fee?

I’m sure we’d have gone for Dumfries if we were in a better position financially - we can’t currently afford fees or wages at the moment without shipping out first as we’d fall found of ffp.

I don't like the idea of throwing all that money at someone unproven in the Premier. He doesn't want to come anyhow, so hopefully we have other targets instead!

Dan the club could have 100m to spend on transfers, but because of FFP they cant. They need to get rid before they buy, think everyone understands that now. But it doesn't mean they don't have the funds for transfers. FFP is now making it almost impossible for clubs like Everton to compete with the so called top six. Which is why it is imperative that the club get back into European competition, and the new ground gets built.

Best to try and get Hoppe if they can, little outlay, but would see us through, should Kean and James go late in the transfer window, no panic buying with any players we let go, take stock and weigh up the options, and use the money wisely, in the January window.

I don’t think you can blame the chap for favouring a move to the Italian champions. If it falls through, he may come, and it could still be a good signing.
I’d prefer it if we didn’t leave all business until the last minute - no guarantee of anything happening.
