Marmite manager always suport manager and team but will need to hit ground running. How long before we are mocked with #agentbenitez.

{Ed025's Note - that will depend on how we do i suppose cookie mate..

I don’t know what some Everton fans problems are with Rafa. We want a winner, he is a winner. You want loyalty, he’s shown that when he went to the championship with Newcastle. He clearly isn’t a RS fan or he wouldn’t even be considering coming to us! Give him a go I say. Far worse options out there! Less of a gamble than giving Dunc the job.

Benitez may have won trophies, titles in the past but we are looking at success nearly ten years ago his recent tenures have not been so good by any means. His teams play football very similar to SA which was not accepted by the fans. Even when CA played a similar style fans were berating him so it will happen. If Benitez gets the job then the fan base will be split about the appointment and the first sign of difficulty there will be fans calling for him to be replaced. We have seen during C.V. how much fans can affect the performance of the team so that will not be a good thing. A divisive manager is just not what we need right now.

Agree sa90. The style of football we play will have a massive impact as to the support he gets.
Personally I was hoping we would have gone for a manager who would have brought his own coaches with him. Nothing against Duncan, but with him still sitting there it's almost like nothings changed.

Brassingtonblue I don't think it will you know bud as long as we are winning games under Carlo we all moaned about the tactics and how we played v Newcastle, Sheff utd ect but if we had won those games as fans we wouldn't of cared about the performance. My view is give me boring football and trophies than attacking football and a mid table finish.

BTW, GIVEN A CHANCE, WOULD YOU SIGN, SALAH, OR MANE?

Dixie yes I would sign Salah or Mane but I wouldn't sign a Adrian or Milner both past there best just like Benitez.

Branks if we had won those games. But we didn't mate, and why? because the football was awful.
Question, how many of the top four play boring football? But hey maybe it will keep us mid table at least.

Right now I would rather we hired his dog as the manager. but happy to be proven wrong if he wins something. Had thought it was just a joke linking him to us but can't be worse than Sam.
