Ed's all these reports are causing my anxiety issues! . could you please give us the top 3 candidates in order that you think the board have.

{Ed002's Note - Nuno Espirito Santo is very clearly first choice and his agent has a huge influence over the owner. I would guess that Rafa Benitez would be seen as a very viable option. After that it becomes difficult with the likes of Potter who has a job and would probably not be interested, Ferguson who would be very high risk etc.. If they fail to agree a deal with Santo you can expect Benitez will be approached.}

Ah that is disappointing news that ed, it seems like as a club, they have no idea what or who they want, Nuno, Rafa and Potter are totally different managers, none of whom are suitable for us. I will keep my fingers crosses for a miracle haha!

{Ed077's Note - I wouldn't say Nuno and Benitez are totally different managers.

18 months ago fans would of walked over hot coals to snap up Nuno so baffles me how people can say he's not suitable as for Rafa he has a history of winning trophies at nearly every club he's been at and the only reason he might be deemed unsuitable is his links to them lot across the park which if I'm being honest I'm past caring about I just want a manager who will come in and improve us and getting us heading in the right direction which I think any of those two will do.

I have to disagree with that mate, for too long we have played negative football, to the point where if we concede the first goal at home to Sheff United in the first 5 mins of the game, its already game over. In the same way, if we are 1-0 up with 25 mins left, we just start panicking and bringing more defenders on, something both Nuno and Rafa do when leading by 1 goal. No way would I have wanted Nuno even 18 months ago, Wolves success was more dowm to good player recruitment in my opinion.

Yeah ed you are right there, they can both make a team solid, I was thinking more Rafa tends to go with a back 4, where as Nuno at Wolves went with a back 3 with wing backs. to be honest, we don't have the personnel to play either way so I suppose its irrelelvant at the minute!

{Ed077's Note - but their teams generally play a similarly strong defensive footy though was my point

I think nuno would be an ok appointment if he didn’t want to take over the recruitment aspect of it as well.

Would make no sense to appoint him if he then has mendes doing our deals instead of Brands.

As others have said in here we need a manager to manage the players and let Brands do the recruitment.

This is the perfect opportunity to rebuild our identity and recruit players that suit the club and what we want to achieve rather than suit a particular manager.

Not sure of many other jobs were a manger is replaced and then they replace their workforce - the keys in the name manager - MANAGE.

Even 18 months ago, I'd have wanted the board to swerve Nuno. Always thought him to be overrated, most of his success is down to a core of quality players. Problem being that most of those players are all on the books of the same agent, mendes. If he was that good a manager, Wolves would have moved the earth to get him to sign a new deal. From the outside looking in, they weren't too bothered that he was leaving.
