Rafa being linked again, could be the answer for us.

{Ed0666's Note - I’ve been saying he’s the answer for a very long time mate. Youre club really can’t afford to be proud

I would mate, time to bury the hatchet, needs must am sick and tired of being ripped of by the so called saviour for Everton, I think he could do a good job for us.

{Ed0666's Note - he’s give you self esteem and stability, which is what you need in droves now mate.

But Bruce doing just as well as he did at Newcastle.

{Ed0666's Note - The pandemic equaled the playing field massively. Rafa didn’t have that luxury. Newcastle got freaky results that would never have occurred without a deathly universal pandemic. Rafa revolutionized Liverpool from grass roots and the academy is beating the fruits of his labour now. Rafa is not a firefighter he specializes in rebuilds. Ask the Newcastle fans who would their be choice as manager? Rafa ingratiated himself into the fabric and DNA of Merseyside, his wife is beloved there for her charity and philanthropic deeds, he lives and breaths football, he doesent suffer fools, has the Cajunas to take in big egos and he’ll have you’re team match fit unlike CA. I’m telling ya mate there is no one better in world football to give the job to right now.

Very good point Ed mate, we really need that.

{Ed0666's Note - you need to be respected again, you need a blueprint, you need a purpose Rafa will give you that. The man has principles, ethics won’t walk out on you and will make you hard to beat. Then you can build from there. Most importantly mate he lives on merseyside and will seamlessly hit the ground running! I’m my opinion it would be folly to not at least interview him. But then again you’re Everton you do folly remarkably well this is you’re opportunity to make things right.

Sounds good for all parties Ed mate, brng it on.

{Ed0666's Note - I wish my name was moshiri mate Rafa would be doing the lean at Goodison as we speak. Imagine what he’s do with DCL?

Suppose an issue with most of our fans is he’ll always be Liverpool’s Rafa. Plus, would he have the same motivation? Knowing this could damage his relationship with fans who love him.

I’d certainly take him, he’s a very very good manager, as for the Bruce comparison, Bruce was given money Rafa never was. He kept them up with a championship squad. Bruce kept them up with a decent squad during a C.V. when 3 teams below them were absolutely awful.

I’ve been going around in my head all day about the manager. Rafa and Ragnknick are the 2 who have always remained in my head as 2 I’d love.

I suppose in terms of him as a manager, there’s 2 problems on the pitch, his football isn’t nice to watch, which is an issue for our fans. Plus at Liverpool he spent a lot of money on some very, well, let’s just say they weren’t exactly good.

{Ed0666's Note - I respect the point you make Swan but believe me when I say Rafa will never lose the adulation he has from the Liverpool fans. (1) He went to bat for us when the club needed him throughout some heinous political turmoil. (2) He won the champions league with Biscan & Traore (3) What him and his wife did for the city is unforgettable etc etc. I think Liverpool fans would love to see him at Everton. All managers make iffy signings mate you can’t say Silva, Fat Scam, Ancelotti and Motes haven’t had their fare share of duds. Besides Rafa has insane footballing contacts throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Yes I grant you his football isn’t pretty on the eye but is effective and besides what would you rather play swashbuckling football and finish 8th or finish 4th and play in the champions league and have an identity?

If only Ed mate he would be excellent for us.

{Ed0666's Note - I should be on commission if Rafa gets the job. In fact I’m gonna text him now asking for my 10% cut.

I’d be happy with Rafa. Decent man and a good manager.

I think Rafa would be a great appointment! He’d really be up to do one over one the reds as he’s a pure professional football machine, even though he still looks like a fat Spanish waiter 🤣!
Don’t think we r brave enough to appoint an ex red mind u didn’t Sammy Lee once claim our wages under Fat Brown Envelope Sam so who knows?

I think it’s more the reaction on Twitter that I’m seeing after Carragher said we should get him. Plenty of reds saying he’d damage his legacy.

I’ve never met him but my ex did at a charity run and said he’s an absolute gentleman, I know he made his small club comment and stuff, but he does seem like a really good guy.

He’d certainly be one of the few who’d I’d be excited for if we got him.

Even if he just made us fall in love with the team again, that would be amazing.

Although he didn't buy many he bought some iffy ones at Newcastle too.
He could steady the ship for a year or two but I'm not sure Brands would want his style of football.

He is a good manager, no doubt, but when at Inter and Real, he was gone really quickly (I don't think he lasted a season at either) , granted they have higher expectations than we do, I just think with the ex-Liverpool thing, if we have a bad start, it could turn toxic very quickly and we could be looking for a new manager before end of next season. I can imagine the 'Agent Rafa' headlines. he is a good manager, but I think his dislike of Everton should count against him to be honest, we have had too many managers who are against the club us as it is, i. e. Koeman, Ancelotti etc.

{Ed0666's Note - why would he be against youre club? Do you not think he’s a consummate proffesional? Do you not think that he’s want to win football matches for you if you were paying him circa £8 million a year? The players hated Benítez from the start as they were fiercely loyal to Mourinho who had just left after winning them the Champions league. The inter hierarchy promised Rafa Kuyt, Evra and Mascherano but he got no one. Other teams advanced inter stayed still, mutiny and bad results followed. I’m not gonna advocate for him at the job he did at Madrid yes he didn’t do favorably and deserved to go. Every manager has abborations this was Rafa’s

13.) 04 Jun 2021
04 Jun 2021 00:22:08
Is this the same Rafa that took the best team in Europe and destroyed them in one season? Everyone slags mourinho but he built something at inter which Rafa went and ruined. In a tactical league he was found out. He is a cup manager and nothing more.

{Ed0666's Note - Rafa won La Liga twice with Valencia and had to beat Barcelona and Real Madrid in the process so you’re point about Rafa only being a successful cup manager makes you look like an ill informed twat. If appointed as Everton manager and if he won you the champions league or the UEFA Cup would you berate and besmirch him? I see you’re point about how he took a Mourinho CL winning team to nothings in the space of a few months but there’s mitigation for that. Let me give you an analogy if I could? Just say you were the boss of you’re local supermarket and you were taking over from a very popular boss who all the employees loved and when you took over they hated you because you didn’t have the same personality as the former incumbent and they decided that they hated you and they weren’t gonna work to the best of their ability for you how would that make you feel? Would you be successful? Probably not that’s what happened to Rafa at inter. He was following a guy you was iconised and lionized.. It’s a bit of a lame analogy I grant you but it’s late and my brain is not the most cerebral at the best of times. I hope you get my point and if you don’t I hope Everton appoint a manager to you’re liking

Good analogy Rafa, er I mean ed0666.

{Ed0666's Note - I thought it was a qwality analogy and this is the FACTS!

I've said Rafa was the man for Everton after we got rid of Koeman. As for being a cup manager, a club like ours who haven't won a cup in 26 years could do with a cup manager really. Some of our fans have never seen us lift a trophy, we need stability and a tactician to get the best out of let's say limited resources. Rafa done this at Newcastle, forget his Liverpool past, beggars can't be choosers and at this moment in time with the squad we have, we are not an exciting proposition for managers.
