Read a piece yesterday about our issue with transfers is that we do not have an identity or formation. We all know we need a RB but he'll need to be able to play RWB too, we need a RW with pace but if we're playing with wingback, where does he fit in? We need goals but does that mean a no10, CF or a winger who has pace, crossing, work rate, plus goals (hard to find in our range) ? The top teams tend to have their set formations and then make 1/ 2 personel changes game by game without upsetting positions/ other players.

Perhaps it is a double entendre. When he has the right players, he won't be forced to change formation so much. Defenders who don't run to the halfway line with the ball, then turn back to the keeper. Midfielders who can play a pass through the oppositions midfield. Strikers who don't have to come back to midfield to help defend.
