Last I hear the government is looking to extend the 21day review period they have which was due to end on Wednesday.

Only hope that Joe Anderson arrest isn’t linked.

Not sure it matters tbh. Not sure many people actually expected it to go ahead.

It's normal procedure for projects of this size. How often does a government department make a decision in 21 days? Probably have not even opened the package yet.

i would be VERY VERY surprised given the amount of money spent and the time taken to get to this point.

Bobslad, there was a message floating around yesterday saying that JA and someone named Colin Chong were expected to be arrested at some point this week. Nice to know that you can get a heads up on being pre-arrested if you work for the council!
I'd take it with a pinch of salt tbh. There's been a lot of money spent already, the actual project will generate plenty of cash and jobs for the area so I think it will go ahead. Just my own opinion mind you, I haven't a clue how these things work. If we can prove that all the back handers went to mates of current Tory MP's then there is absolutely nothing to worry about at all mate.

It could be to do with all the houses that were compulsory purchased around Anfield to allow them to build their new stand. How’s that for conspiracy theory. 😂.

I don't know much about the rumours etc, but isn't Colin Chong the guy in charge of the stadium project? If he is involved in anything then we may well find the stadium is in trouble. I sincerely hope not, it would be a new low in our storied search for a new home - and there have been a lot already.

JA had to report for renewal of bail conditions it's set prior to release, and do honestly see Everton risking their new stadium and millions/ billions over a bung to a dodgy minor politicians. Besides everyone likes a juicy bit of gossip and like to make it sound juicier, do you not think the news hounds at the echo would be all over this!

It was liverpool fans doing what liverpool fans do and while telling the whole world they don't care about us start spreading rumours which people believe and Swan I'm not sure who you speak to but all the blues I talk to expect it to go ahead.

It will go ahead, too many benefits for the City of Liverpool for it to be pulled at this stage. A delay is likely however.

I have a feeling that he asked for more time so now they have took control of the city they will look like the good guys when they pass it saying this is what we want for the north.
