do any of the eds know if aston villa have requested a meeting with the premier league today to get sundays match moved and can you see the match getting moved with the current circumstances which i totally understand thanks for reply.

Gomes biggest problem is his lack of pace, to many opposition players just leave him behind. Good impact player at the moment.

Are there different rules/ expectations between a premier league game and an FA Cup match? Seeing some teams played matches with reserve sides due to C.V. in the first team squad.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think its so much a rule ST, more clubs prioritising and most of them seem to feel that the FA cup is not top of their list mate..

In the likely event it is called off, do you think the Premiership may try to fit the cancelled game against city in as with the cancelled spurs/ villa game and Fulham fixture pencilled in as a replacement. Would make sense I guess!

Not sure where rest of reply went.

was wondering in likelihood of villa game being cancelled and possibility of villa/ city being called off next Wednesday, if the prem would re schedule our game v Man City for that slot as done with spurs games this week.

Soz didn"t make myself too clear, I meant with Villa game likely being cancelled and their game against Man City next Wednesday in doubt.

If the City game was cancelled, would the Prem look to put our cancelled game v city in place as have done with spurs games.

Make sense as need utilise slots, City do play Palace this weekend tho too.

Although I get we have to put safety first, I makes you wonder where they expect to be able to fit in all these postponed games. If the euro’s go ahead as planned they can’t run into the summer and the fixture list is packed as it is. Some teams may end up playing a game every other day by the end of the season.

The only difference between the FA cup and a league match that I can see when it comes to CV is that there is practically no time to reschedule a cup game do to the looming next round being just a fortnight later. So Villa probably didn’t have a realistic opportunity to reschedule whereas a league game has much more flexibility.

Probably a lot of it has to do with money. I imagine there’s far more money from staying in the premier league and finishing as high as possible compared to a decent cup run and winning the FA cup.
