Ed 25 how more players you expecting I reckon three rw cb rb. Then about 5 to 8 out door. Think rb cb will be loans. Zaha bailey be touted as options would love us to go for saar from watford seen they wanted 36 million apparently.

{Ed025's Note - im not sure we will do much business to be honest bretto, it all hinges on getting rid of some of our lesser lights and that wont be easy mate..

I can see loan for cb and maybe rb if kenny moves on.

I would like to see at least a CB come in. I think JJ is a decent back up to Seamus. I think we look in really good shape in comparison to last season. Exciting times.

If Kean leaves, I can see another attacker coming in. If we could offer Palace Kean money + Iwobi, it seems possible.
Another loan for Kenny would see a RB come in.
A CB will definitely come in IMO.

Going by rumours cover for CB looks to be a loan with Tomori’s name still kicking around plus Unai Nunez and Tosin Adarabioyo who I believe we looked at recruiting a few years back when his contract was coming to an end
RB we seem to keep drawing links to Arias which would be a permanent deal or Dalot on loan
Am surprised we have not seen links to Aarons at Norwich from anyone
And with forward players it could be anyone from Lozano Zaha etc etc although it looks like Under is off the list now.

I would really like to see Zaha arrive, he is excellent when high on confidence and would be a major improvement on our current RW options. Isn't he also homegrown? There are some interesting names linked to us but it's always a risk when buying from abroad, will they settle into the physicality of the PL? We know Zaha can thrive here so he is a safe option. Much like Doucoure, straight into the team because he already had the experience here so was very low risk.
Bringing in a new RB would be a real kick in the balls for Jonjoe wouldn't it? Arias is an exciting player to have the possibility of signing but i honestly think RB is covered for the year.
A CB and RW is the biggest need, and if we can afford anything further after that then another ST option wouldn't go amiss.

Worcester genuine question in relation to Zaha, who would you have him replace?
Based on the performance against spurs I genuinely am unsure as to where he would fit in as wouldn’t say he’s better than the players we had in that game.
He’s not going to replace DCL upfront, wouldn’t get in ahead of Richarlison upfront or in left and definitely wouldn’t get in ahead of Rodrigues who played on the right.
Allan and doucore nailed on starters.
Gomes possibly one he may start ahead of but then they’re two very different players and playing style that with our front 3 we need a gomes type player.

Interesting dilemma to have but at the price he probably would cost and with the players we now have I don’t see is actually needing him

I think centre back as cover for the injuries a must and then a rightback as jury still out on Jonjoe - was going he did well against Salford but he only did ok in my opinion - was going for more from him.

It's always going to be tough to see where new players will fit in now but i think Zaha replaces Gomes in the team, although i still see Gomes getting quite abit of game time.
If we move out Iwobi, Sig, Walcott, Bernard and Bolasie (i imagine that is the intention anyway where possible) and we bring in Zaha then it looks like a complete midfield with versatility.
LW options of Richarlison, Zaha and Gordon.
RW options of Richarlison, Zaha and Rodrigues.
Forward options of DCL, Richarlison and Zaha.
Attacking CM options of Gordon, Gomes, Zaha, Rodrigues.
It's a smaller group of players but such versatility to play them all across a variety of positions. Carlo has no qualms about changing tactics throughout a game, and the versatile players means he can constantly do that knowing all can move around confidently.
I would imagine Gomes would be used like Sig versus Spurs, coming on later in place of whichever ACM. Plus i don't honestly see Rodrigues staying fit for a full season, likely 25 matches this year out of him.

I think Zaha is only worth it if we can get a couple out as a swap (iwobi and wally) but they'd still want a big cheque on top.
He just isn't worth it financially or positionally now we have 3 new midfielders. Doesn't make any sense without a swap out for some of our weaker performers.
I'd rather see a RWB a CB and a striker. Our system just negates the need for a wide man.

If we land Zaha we need him we loose any one of the top 3 I think it limits us. Rodriguez is passing the ball forward we haven’t had that from a player in a long time. Zaha is someone who likes to get the ball forward or run on to it. He can keep us attacking if we loose one of the 3, or fit in. Let’s not get carried away we can’t depend on much outside the starting 11.

Zaha gives us options he’s also not going to need time to bed in. If by some incredible manoeuvre we land him. I think centre back and we are in dreamland. Kean is definitely not going to work for us, maybe Juve need him to reach the homegrown quota or something? He won’t play much in a top club, I’d be concerned we loose a huge money his collateral is surely very low. He’s worth more to Instagram then a club.
