Rumours Watford want a player on loan as part of the deal for doucore.
Is this an opportunity for Tom Davies?
Could be a win win for us for a change, get a player we want to improve the team and gives Tom the chance to get regular game time and see if he can improve which benefits us also.

{Ed002's Note - The mistake would be to let them have a player who the club want to move on. A youngster like TD, Braithwaite or Gibson would be ideal experience.}

Agree Ed, hopefully the club offer them Davies or Gibson I loan.
Would like to keep Branthwaite as he showed at end of last season he can step up and provides us good cover in defence with Holgate, Keane and Mina. May not have to worry so much about buying a centre back if money is an issue by keeping him in first team squad for this season.

Do you not think Branthwaite might be the better one to loan out to gain more experience on loan than as a backup this season?

Agreed - Davies ideally, but either Gibson, Braithwaite or perhaps Ellis Simms. Get it done - Dacoure is exactly what we need in the middle of the park.

To be fair to Gibson he hasn’t had the opportunity to play in the first team yet, apart from the half against Blackpool. Think it would be good for him to be kept in and around the first team squad now, give Carlo Tim to get a good look at him.
Would make more sense to use Branthwaite given his age and lack of experience. Lad shouldn’t be rushed into the team right now, needs time.
As for Tom, well that would either make him or break him, and if nothing else it would take him out the spotlight for a while. Makes perfect sense.
Agree not a player we are looking to sell, that is of no real benefit to us.

I'd like them to have Gibson and Tom Davis. Gibson needs gametime and Davis needs to grow as a player, championship is ideal for both.

Coukd we not offer them 2 players, Tom and Gibson or Braithwaite.
It woukd benefit us, might push the deal over the line, or would it be a case of wages for Watford, not wanting to pay both?
