Hi Ed002 can you shed any light on the slysports reports they put out the last couple of days.
1.We are in talks with Emery he’s interested they say

2.Carlo Ancellotti sane as above

3. Marcelino wants arsenal over us

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - (1) A general enquiry with Emery has been made but right now I suspect the preference will be to try and persuade carlo Ancelotti that he should make the move. (2) Carlo Ancelotti is aware of interest from Everton, Arsenal and two other sides. Right now the structure of Arsenal will be of concern and he will need persuading that Everton makes some sense. (3) Marcelino was first choice but has no interest in Everton.}

I desperately don't want Moyes in, but him as an interim with a view to a permanent manager to take us forward in the Summer makes the most sense. Deary me.

Sorry Hugo but how does that make the most sense?

Surely keeping Dunc in place until we appoint makes the most sense.

Not sure why moyes is even being thought of, he achieved nothing when he was with us, never beat a top 4 side and didn’t win any silverware, he left and achieved nothing. Why does anyone in their right minds think he’d be a decent appointment interim or not?

Isnt Ferguson a risk too?

Because stats don’t lie. Even though he had an eleven year reign his win percentage is higher than the past few managers we’ve had. He also knows the club and wants the job. All that being said I’d have Ancelotti over him every day of the week. Moyes done very well with limited funds whilst he was here, this is why he was got the United job!

thing with some everton fans is we can't pick or choose managers at this moment at time due to the situation we are currently in look i understand the blues frustration i do meself but david moyes is not the answer i rated the man when he first arrived club had no money he bought bargain players sold them for profit to keep our club going i won't forget what he did for us he done wonders without a budget during his 7 years but things changed now etc moshiri new stadium on the horizon good crop players now then what we didn't have back then i have seen some replies that ferguson is not the man he is the man i seen in that one game than what marco silva didn't have in 18 months passion on that sideline every player played for him against chelsea and i would happily give him the contract till end of season what can he do wrong.

Back to moyes - the league is different these days he did reasonable in the league with us but the league then only had 4 or 5 teams really competing, these days the league is much tougher - there is no guarantee he can replicate it. Plus we never beat a top 4 team or won any silverware.

Get the right guy in but leave Dunc in charge until then, he knows the club, the players, and respects the fans.

All this rubbish about Moyes knowing the club. The club has changed since Moyes days. The PL has changed since Moyes days. Our finances have changed since Moyes days. We have an ambitious owner who supposedly wants success. Moyes will not bring that success. Moyes wants the job. Of course he does because no one else wants him. I say stick with Dunc for some games while the board decide who they want or rather who they can get.

{Ed025's Note - are you sure your not me nick?.. :)

All I know for sure is the board don’t know what they want the managers we are being linked are in different planets to each other in terms of style of play etc I think we need to go for a youngish manager out to make a name who has worked under a DOF before someone out of the redbull system would do I think.
