Jorge Jesus is the latest manager to be linked, available in Dec apparently.

He was manager when Benfica battered us 7-0.

The big question GB is "who is linking him"?

{Ed002's Note - It would be a third party recommendation.}

Oh Guaranga! what next.

{Ed002's Note - No. This is ghetting embarrassing.}

Ed02 what is actually happening from what you have heard is silva going or staying and if he goes is moyes still coming back (I hope not) I would love Rafa and don't see why we can't get him in.

{Ed002's Note - At some point, not yet determined, MS and Everton will agree his exit. As I have said before, I would not be surprised if David Moyes were to return on some basis or other. The mention of Jorge Jesus is not a surprise and that will have been mentioned to Moshiri by an "advisor".}

Ed do u think jesus would be a good fit at everton currently.

{Ed002's Note - The problem would be how Everton intend to proceed going forward. JJ will be used to working in an environment where players may well be recruited for him, so perhaps. As for going forward, Brands skills are in developing a footballing system that takes the youth and develops the players to play in one particular way through all levels including the first team. That is how it works at clubs like PSV and Ajax, but there is no evidence that Everton are building in that manner. So why would Brands hang about much longer if the club are looking at constant recruitment without at least getting a Brands type system underway?}

So do you think brands is getting a bit pi***d off at the moment.

{Ed002's Note - He can't be happy.}

Thanks Ed002, I presume that the inverted commas gives us an idea of what you think about the person? I wish Moshiri would hire you as an advisor! (If anyone at the club reads these messages PLEASE NOTE! Ed002 comes highly recommended and has vast experience, his only downside is that he is a Chelsea supporter, but that can change, money talks) .

Love it Blue Mike
I was really excited with the appointment of Brands and how our club was going to identify youth and build a system, I just don’t see how Moshiri can keep following advice from this so called advisor
I am seriously considering hibernating and hoping things have improved when I wake!

What manager who would be interested in Everton would fit brands model ed002.

{Ed002's Note - The problem is that Everton do not appear to tbe interested in going down the road of restructuring. It is a desire for instant success that is stopping it.}

Couldn't agree more that is the best post I have read on theses pages all year.

Someone needs to tell them you can’t buy instant success and a lot of our fans too! Favre Could be soon out of a job think he would be a good appointment but after last time around when we messed him about maybe he won’t want it.

{Ed025's Note - its become poison chalice eddy very similar to the newcastle one mate..

Do you think anybody at the club read these pages on this type of website and it gets shown to the board or at least gets back to them but they just don't take any notice because they think we are wrong and they know best.

{Ed025's Note - probably..

Looks like nothing will change then.

Does anyone else think FM is the issue here?

Employees people to do a job then tells them how to do it, even though he's employed them because they're more experienced than he is.

The fact that he's just thrown money at the club (which obviously we are all grateful for) seems to make him free from criticism.

I don't get why he can't just let brands do his thing. Taking advice from different people all with different agendas and ideas of ways to move forward isn't great. You'd think a successful business man would realise you need 1 clear strategy, not 3 or 4 mashed together.

''Taking advice from different people''

From what the Ed has previously told us Chris, probably a negative factor and indeed from where I'm sat, makes a lot of sense mate.

I really don't know much about jorge jesus I think this one is unlikely as we need a manager with premier league experience. 2 Eddie Howe I like a lot think he's a very good young English coach and excellent man manager and his team plays an attractive brand of attacking football but his teams tend to leak goals as well plus could he make the step up to a big club but if where to go down the young manager with good potential then he's got to be in consideration not a first choice for me but worth considering. 3 david Moyes we all know what Moyes did for the club and what we did for him but his recent track record hasn't been brilliant since he left us apart from the stint with west ham ironically but I don't think this is or should be seen anything other than a short term deal till end of season deal as I think we have both moved on and the league has changed but he hasn't
3rd Benitez this would cause a bit of a stir with a lot of fans but I am not really that bothered about that if you look at managers who has experience in this league who has been successful in this league but also in other top leagues in world football you be a fool not to think of him plus the added bonus of having a home on Merseyside as well is a big advantage I know his teams may not be free flowing but the one thing he would provide would be leadership tactical awareness and would make us solid defensively again and would bring players in with a bit more leadership something we have lacked for a good fee years know
4th manager arteta know this is intriguing a few clubs have gone down this route know with great success with former players I wouldn't be adverse to this but it would be a bit more risky but maybe a risk worth taking but think arteta wouldn't become available till summer so that could tie in with a short term deal with Moyes.
Personally I am going to opt for Benitez as he ticks so many boxes that other candidates don't he is what we need at this point and time a strong leader who give the team leadership organisation and tactical awareness ok his teams are not the most pleasing on the eye but for what we need know he is the best option plus the football dished up know is pretty crap any way let me know what you think guys.

Benitez won't be coming mate you might as well forget it.
