I know everyone will think no we are better bigger than him but Chris wilder from sheff Utd is a very very good manager everyone seems to say oh they had a off day agasint sheff Utd but if you look at the games they have played they have been excellent I think he should at least be in consideration. Kovac Marcelino Howe arteta. What’s everyone’s thoughts on emery has been a good manager everywhere except arsenal.

Moyes met with Everton representatives twice at the beginning of November and subsequently turned down the Stoke job. Around the same time Martinez came out and said that he had unfinished business at Everton.

Guy's silva is gone, moyes is pretty much a done deal, unsworth will be taking charge til moyes steps in next week. a friend of mine is in the know with people within the club. He's never been wrong about anything he's told me which is why i'm sharing on here.

Moyes is available now, so holds nothing to me if Unsworth is brought in, why would we do that, Benitez season ends next week then he will probs want a week or so off, does that not seem more logic why Unsworth is being brought in, if the rumours are right.

You all appear to have taken on board whoever said Silva has left (probably on Twitter) and decided that Benitez (who apparently met with the Everton board during tersterday’s game in China) is going to be announced at this afternoon’s press conference.

Silva was a mistake, he will need to go. Everton has advisors who will, for a handsome price, suggest replacements. I have explained all of this on a number of occasions whilst you all look to defend Silva. The whole this is beyond me. He will go at some point - I have told you that.}

I have never said anything about the rumours on twitter, I have been saying for weeks I think Silva will be saved short term and then going forward in November, had results not improved, then we would make a move for Benitez when the Chinese season ends next week.

If Unsworth is coming in short term, then that seems to tie up with standing in until a week or so down the line.

Benitez will want some time off for a week or so before going straight into a new job.

All guess work, I have no inside knowledge, but if Unsworth is brought in the only conclusion I can come up with, and why nothing has been announced is the fact Benitez is in China.

As this is a rumour site, I hold my hands up and have not got a clue what is going on, pure guess work by me, nothing more.

Hi ed0025 I agree but a lot of managers we will be looking at will be unproven too I just hope marcel Brands gets input into the new manager because he is mentally to be running the football side of things. I think Eddie Howe would be a good appointment he would keep us up and play effective football. I like the Crowley brothers now at Huddersfield but they are a good few years off a prem move.

{Ed025's Note - to be fair eddy brands has hardly covered himself in glory with his recruitments up to now mate, every man and his dog knows we needed a CF who could put the ball in the net and that has not been addressed and dont get me started on our CB failings, eddie howe looks unlikely as his wife will not move up north apparently and thats why he failed at burnley..

Just a thought, I know we have been poor for longer than this but could the problem be since we hired a director of football, if you go back to the Moyes era, he bought in some acute signings along with a couple of duffers.

If we do select a manager who does not like to work with a d. o. f could it not be an idea to ditch the d. o. f and let the a Manager have his say on incoming players.

the thing is ed025 we don't (well i don't anyway) actually know who and who isn't a Brands signing. If they where Digne Gbamin Iwobi Delph and Kean would that be a bad lot? As for the CB I wonder if Brands was holding out for Zouma or not? It may be that wasn't allowed to get other targets as someone wanted Zouma 1st choice.
