Sorry but I'd take Costa all day. Pure hustle and bustle centre forward and he's clinical.
We could easy get 2 seasons out of him.
He would put us in Europe.

Have to disagree, think he’d be too much of a liability and no guarantee he’d get us in to Europe particularly as we need the whole team pulling together.

Why would you be happy signing a potential has been? Can’t imagine he would be coming for the challenge but more likely the pay day he would receive.

Surely we should be looking to be buying someone young and hungry to succeed who will fit in with Marcos style of play.

Do not think he would come but he is more trouble than he is worth and wsould ruin are wage structure so a big no no from me.

I'd rather test Leicesters resolve than go for Costa. they've spent big this summer. they say everyone has their price, let's throw big money at them for Vardy, he'd be good for a couple of seasons.

We have a player in Walcott that requires the kind of service Vardy would and he doesn't get any service from the way we play.
Vardy as much as i would like him, wouldn't suit our style of play.
Costa would but i would only agree if it was a 12 month loan.

If Costa is (a) excited to come play for us and (b) wanted by Brands and Silva not just Moshiri, I'm all for it. I trust if (b) is true, Brands and Silva will make sure (a) is also true before signing him. If he is coming for the paycheck, I'm against it. And, if he's coming to be a trophy signing, I'm very against it.

I have no interest in Vardy. He's older than Costa and doesn't have nearly the upside as Costa. Plus Vardy's skills (e. g. speed) are the ones that go with age whereas Costa's power and nose for the goal stick around a bit longer.

I'm still dreaming of Moise Kean. And, if not, then another young gun up top. Or, just letting DCL continue to improve along with Richarlison and add on the right wing instead (although in addition to is preferable) .

Players we were linked to in the papers last season.
Gibson and Mawson, ended up with Zouma.
Tierney and Joe Bryan, ended up with Digne.
Seri and Wilshire, ended up with Gomez
Batshuayi and Balotelli, ended up with Richarlison.
Ghezzal and Yarmolenko, ended up with Bernard.

I think Brands has it covered. Don't you?

{Ed025's Note - great answer smit..

When Walcot came to us via Alardyce it was on a promise he would be allowed freedom to roam across the front line, having coveted the strikers position for the last few seasons. Obviously having seen him in training successive Managers/ Coaches do not see it Walcots way. Vardy may indeed thrive but my own opinion is we already have a good target man in Tosun, he needs a run of games. Alas our impatience (I include myself in that weakness) , does not allow the chance of consistency for either players or Managers. I am trying to change.
