Likely to be a loan for now, Brands has worked with him previously at PSV

Bid has reportedly gone in for Thiago Mendes of Lille, not sure whether this has any substance as he is not the same type of player as Gueye, and article states Gueye leaving as the reason this has been made.

And on Neres, looks like Ajax have raised their price for him, looks like this one could drag on all window.

Cant see us taking a risk on an 80million pound signing from the dutch league to be honest with you, 40/ 50 was pushing it.

Cheers Ed with Ajax already selling some players for big money they can afford to hold out for a higher price. Would Malcom still be a option for Everton as he would be more financially viable and tried to sign him last summer? Thanks again ed.

{Ed002's Note - Ajax are a significantly casy rish club that are also looking to hold on to players - which is why they can afford to price players at the very high end. Malcom would need Everton to act quickly as there are clubs with European football to offer showing an interest.}

Seems like this one isn't going to happen. 80m is a crazy price for someone that hasn't been tested in one of the "big leagues" unless you have unlimited funds. I imagine he would want a high wage which would mean offloading players, who wouldn't need a direct replacement, which doesn't seem to be happening.
