Hi Eds,

Any idea on the teams interested in Niasse, and whether anyone has made a move to sign him?

{Ed025's Note - as far as i know blu99 we are finding it hard to offload him mate, that could easily change when holidays are over and clubs start looking for new players but at the moment there is zilch im afraid..

Only to be expected Ed. I think we need to accept we will take a massive loss on him.

{Ed025's Note - i think your right mate...unfortunately..

I thought there was some interest out in Turkey or round that way where he had played in the past.

{Ed025's Note - turkey being the operative word ST.. :)

I think the moving of players on is going to be marcels toughest task this summer and not the recruitment.
I can’t see any of the names mentioned as possibly leaving (Tosun, Mirallas, Niasse, bolasie etc. ) as actually making a return on the investment in them, Lookman may be the exception, but the others I’m sure will be sold for far less than we paid.
Hopefully though it’s a start of a new era with the appointment of Marcel and we will demonstrate a sensible recruitment policy with no panic buys or paying big prices for unproven players, things we as a club seem to have lacked in previous transfer windows.

Correct there will be no return on investment on those 4 mentioned but that’s not really what’s important here
Bolasie is reportedly costing £75k per week so that’s just shy of £4m a season 😬
Mirralas was £70k so he’s a bit over £3.5m per season
Sandro is £3.3m per year
Tosun £3.1m
Niasse £2.8m
Martina £1.8m
Besic £1.5m
Garbutt £1.5m
Vlasic £1.3m (might squeeze out a profit)
Galloway £1.2m
That’s £24m of salaries on players nowhere near the first team apart from Tosun but it seems he’s not fancied by Silva
It’s not ideal but I would take losses on these to move the recruitment forward and Brands plan does seem to be younger talent that would have a resale value.

Just goes to show the recruitment is miles better now.
Imagine our return on investment if we sold Bernard, Ricky or Digne now.

They are paid too much we will have to take losses on all of them and probably part pay wages. The crazy spending in the passed is costing us now, we must learn from it.

Wherever Niasse ends up the guy gave everything for Everton, disgusting how he was treated by ofm, I wish him the best of luck, just did not work out for him, but cannot fault his effort and humanity towards Everton Football Club.

A mate of mine saw bolasie at the championship play off final (he’s a blue but just got a ticket for it) and bolasie told him that he’s not going anywhere, and will see his contract out. You can see that being the case with all of them.

Bluetron- shame to hear that but can see where he’s coming from.
Stay with us and get paid? £75k per week or move somewhere else where probably wouldn’t get anywhere near that amount per week.
If you’re just in it for the money it’s a no brainier to stay, if you want to play games and try to get picked for national team then the pay cut and a move would be the option.
Not sure how many of the players we’re looking to move on sit in the later category.
We’re paying for our previous poor recruitment policy. Will be a fair few seasons before this is rectified but confident Brands will be up to this challenge.
