now the media is saying Marco is demanding £20 million for Cenk Tosun, he's never going to get anywhere near that price, if he does't lower it to around £15 million or so he is likely to get the axe as he cannot bring anyone else in because of an increasingly restless Board who are not happy with the results, is this the writing on the wall?

It could well be GB. There's no point keeping Tosun if he isn't going to give him game time. What's the point of that? May as well take a hit on him and move on. I want to give Marco as much support as I can, but some of his decisions baffle me.

Marco won't have any input on how much a player is sold for. That will be down to Brands.
Moshiri has put his faith in Marco so can't see him sacking him when we are 3 points off 7th and still in a cup.
Finishing 7th with a good cup run would be a great result in his 1st season so as long as we are still in with a shout of both I can't see any sense in even considering sacking him.

Is it actually down to Silva to fix the price for a player?

{Ed025's Note - no mate..

No it's not. the manager does not set transfer fees.

Completely agree Smit. The desire for instant success since moshiri came in (from club and fans) has been ridiculous and is a major reason we're in the mess we're in I believe. At this stage I'm on the fence with Silva, but having pushed so hard for him it would be ludicrous to consider sacking him after 1 summer window and not even a full season.
