Ed any substance in Coleman to Man U what is his contract situation thanks

{Ed025's Note - they are certainly making noises dixie, its no secret that they are very interested and trying to sweeten the deal by offering the likes of januzaj on loan and evans as part payment..we will see how our manager and board act now and how serious they are about not selling our best players..it should be interesting mate..

I'd love Coleman at OT rb problem solved.

But would you be happy with januzaj on loan and perhaps Evans included if a deal was to materialise or would you prefer hernandez to be included instead?

{Ed025's Note - hernandez and £30m would do nicely dave, but knowing united they will probably offer adnan on loan and crap evans plus £10m.. and if our club accepts that then we will deserve everything we get!

While there's no way I would want Seamus to leave, if he did why would he go to United? I rate him as on of the best right backs in Europe, so, logically, if he were to leave it should be to one of the biggest clubs in Europe. (& not for less than £30m.)

{Ed025's Note - his game is suited to the prem tezza where united are still a massive draw mate, but knowing us we will probably accept a pittance and one or two crappy unwanted makeweights.. :(

Mirror has them putting in 15 million and the sun has 20 mil u put the two totals together u get what Coleman is actually worth if u look Shaw went to utd for 30 odd mil and he is no where near as good as Coleman as for evans no way he is crap and always injured personally I can't see Coleman sign for utd because the money we ask for him I doubt they will pay but I do expect them try to offload some of there crap on us like EVANS

28 Jun 2015 13:24:32
I personally think 15m + hernandez and januzaj on loan for a season is a good deal.

Obviously you won't agree. I just think 30m plus hernandez is ridiculous

Im going to be honest i'd rather he went than some of the spine of the team. Think he makes mistakes defensively, only problem in my eyes is i'd have had trippier as his replacement. Anythin over 20M i'd sell. Great business sense over 300% profit is ridiculous & as much as we hate it we are a selling club at present

dont want any of them. Evans is awful, Januzaj is slow and weak, Hernandez is a poacher but not a good footballer. 20-25m minimum.

Apologies for posting on here, united fan in peace just seeing if any eds had said anything about coleman. Just noticed further up this post somebody saying 'why would he go to united?' as if people have forgotten what club united are. A couple of average seasons doesn't suddenly mean we have gone away and aren't a force anymore, there is a good chance we will be winning trophies in the next couple of years, it is quite local so he wouldn't have to uproot his family etc.

I have seen it mentioned a few times and it is as if people have decided united are useless now so why would anybody want to sign for them, if Real Madrid had a couple of seasons not winning anything (they just had one) would people be saying they don't understand why players want to go there? I presume a lot of people are hoping united are never going to return to the top, but in reality we aren't that far away now.

The only way you lot will get anywhere near the top again is if you buy it. But sadly for you there are one or two other teams in the prem that will and can do the same. Difference is that can do it better than you. It's teams like them and you who are actually slowly killing football, and football clubs across the country. Because of your stupid spending on players, the price for Joe average has got ridiculous. So ye you go on blowing the big bucks, I sure it will all be worth it.

Real Madrid are a better option for the elite than United. So comparing your situation to theirs just isn't realistic. They signed your best player, you signed one of their worst. That's football. Let's face it. The choice between United or Madrid given both having poor seasons is clearly Madrid.

Having said that, United are a huge club and able to attract players. But we have Coleman with 4 years left on his contract. One of the best fullbacks in the Premier league. Also British. Add to this you spent 35 million on your left back. And you're desperate because you can no longer turn a youth player into a great player like you used to. So your now shopping in Harrods

If you therefore need him that bad then it'll cost you more than Luke shaw, and that's if we're in the mood for selling. Which nowadays is rare.

haha I love the way you said UTD fan in peace then just went on to explain what a club you are. Arrogance at it's finest. You will never reach the top properly. You have the most expensive squad in the league and if you win it again you will have bought it. Which is ironic considering UTD fans usually say City and Chelsea are small as they bought their leagues. So if theirs don't count then neither will yours.

Love the oh we have had a few bad seasons but we will be back because we are United? Sure Liverpool said that after there glory days ended and still haven't had them back. Thing is once you fall behind like utd have its hard to get it back when the teams above and around you are moving onwards and upwards. I can't see utd progressing from there CL group due to the new seeding structure then if they are unlucky enough to then have EL football that will set them back even more from City Chelsea and Arsenal. So good luck to Seamus if he wants to have one season in the CL because I don't think utd will ever be as big as they once were especially when you have a defensive duo of smalling and jones add to that the fact that de gea is a goner and the midfield is weak and an ageing strikeforce yes really going to be a powerhouse next season. erm not. true we are not as big as we once were but we ain't trying to be something we are not. So on that note I can't see Seamus leaving just like Baines didn't. You may have a big name in the far east but here in the real world its clear for all to see that your glory days are long gone and your squad is weak.

The fact is that you are not even the biggest team in Manchester, the unthinkable has happened and City are a better option for the top players. Football happens in cycles so get back in line and wait your turn like the rest of us! Minimum 30m going on what you paid for your left back. He is British so that makes it a premium scale deal, clubs are over paying on home grown players we all know that, throw in the fact that he is also a very good player and part of our first 11. Admittedly, he was below par last season but so was the rest of the team. He is tied to a long contract so we are in the driving seat. Fact is that, the last few players we have sold to Utd, we have got very good fees for them. Why do you mancs expect anything else from us? If you want him then put up or shut up, you will be paying through the nose for him

{Ed007's Note -Before someone else says it, Spud I don't think Coleman sees himself as British but I know what you mean.}

Wow, I didn't realise the hatred for united was so bad, I've never had a problem with everton and thought there was a bit of mutual respect between the two teams but it seems that there are a lot of fans who hate us as much as liverpool. I don't think I said anything that was arrogant.

My point is that if he came to united he would have more chance of winning trophies and playing in the champions league than at everton, I think that's a well known fact. I didn't say anything about being better than city or chelsea or 'buying the title' like you all seem to think I'm bothered about, I was just making a point, the best players want to play for the best teams, and at the moment on the scale of things united are above everton so it wouldn't be a shock if a player wanted to sign for us, I don't think that's a terrible thing to say and I wasn't on here looking for united to be abused, just making my point.

Swan,

I'm pretty sure I've never thought chelsea and City's title wins 'don't count' pal, that's just something people say to try and put united down, times have changed in football, you might have noticed but it's all about money, we dropped a bit because we refused to pay the money that chelsea and City were paying and they went above us, we have to spend wisely now to get back to the top, but the money is there as the club is financially stable so we can pay the money we need to hopefully get back where we want to be.

ed007, I promised myself I'd not post after a skinful of stella but I failed last night! Obviously he plays for the Republic, my bad haha.
@GDS2, you can't be surprised at the reaction of EFC fans to your posts on here. Whether you intended to or not, your post comes across as a bit arrogant and slightly patronising towards the club we support. Now, despite what you claim with regards to champs league and winning trophies, there is no guarantee that you will win any of them is there? Yes he would have champions league but that could only be for a two legged play off anyway. If he really wanted to leave us to win these major cups then, in my opinion, he would be best to steer clear of Utd. He would stand a better chance of winning stuff with your neighbours or at Chelsea, without a doubt. It is fine having money to burn but you can throw 50m at a team to buy their player and still get no joy. I think, for the real top players, the world class ones that could make the difference to your team, they would see the two teams I mentioned as better options. You will secure the up and coming players such as the dutch lad you have just signed, yet that route would take you longer to get back to the level of City or Chelsea. I think the entire transfer story is just paper talk, especially for the 15m that has been mentioned, and unless you lot offer us stupid amounts then it simply won't happen

17.) 29 Jun 2015
29 Jun 2015 17:38:48
I don't think £25m for Coleman would be unreasonable. Also I'm fairly certain we paid £27m, potentially rising to £32m for Shaw, and I don't think you can value Coleman based on that. Coleman is 26, Shaw was 18, which makes a big difference. Shaw is English, Coleman isn't, which again makes a big difference. Coleman may have a long contract with Everton, but so did Shaw. Also I can't understand the hate for United from Everton fans. When Everton have wanted to sign available United players, United have regularly allowed those players to join Everton for very reasonable fees, like Howard and Neville, and yet when United have wanted and tried to sign Everton players, Everton have held United to ransom, such as Fellaini. Everton hardly returning the favour there. In this situation, Coleman could hardly be blamed if he wanted to go. He would be playing for the biggest club in England, he would be playing Champions League football, and he would be competing for trophies, plus he would earn a lot more money at United.

Gilly,

Haven't you heard, we didn't win the league for 2 years so we aren't anywhere near the biggest club anymore, we are more on the level of Stoke, so let's not be arrogant lol.

Spud,

At this moment in time coleman would have more chance of winning a trophy at chelsea and City, I agree with you, he also wouldn't get a game as zabaleta and ivanovic are settled in their positions for their clubs, united are crying out for a right back so we are the best club he would get a regular game for. Apologies if I came across as arrogant but some of your posts come across as deluded, I'm aware now that you hate to admit it but players would rather play in the champions league and be challenging for trophies, I don't really understand where the argument is. There is no guarantee that united will win anything but ask a neutral who will win the league next out of united and Everton and how many would say everton? That's my point.

{Ed025's Note - fair point again GDS...your getting on my bleedin nerves now mate.. :)

19.) 29 Jun 2015
29 Jun 2015 22:07:05
In fairness as much as I'd want coleman to say you could understand if he wanted to leave and play for twice the money with more of a chance of winning something. It is hard to be objective as a fan but I don't think anyone could bemoan his head being turned just as long as he goes about it the right way, not moyes or Lescott esque. Also the deal would have to be good enough for the club, just because United want him I hope we don't accept some unwanted player(s) and a small bit of cash. I'd say 20 ish million would be reasonable for us

Clarkey,

I agree 100%, that's the most sensible post I've seen on here in 24 hours and sums up what I was trying to get at. People saying they don't see why anybody would want to sign for united are just being a bit silly.
