Interesting story I've lifted from another forum:

The Americans looking to take over Everton have been described by someone who worked with them at San Diego Padres as people who will not meddle in the day to day running of the club.
The Daily Star (yes, we know) quotes a "source" who worked under John Jay Moores at San Diego as saying that he will likely do nothing more than make sure the right people are in place to run the club.
Moores stayed loyal to his team managers at San Diego, with just two men taking charge of the team during Moores' time as owner of the club.
Moores' partner in the potential takeover at Everton was Charles Noell, who also worked on the board of San Diego Padres under Moores. Could he be the un-named source? And could this be the beginning of the Americans putting out details of their plans should they complete the takeover deal?
The "source" said, "He finds the best people and let's them do their work. He is a hands-off owner, not a meddler.
"He's not a guy who wants to look over people's shoulders. I'd be shocked if he did anything other than make sure he has the best people for the job. "

I wonder how long the people currently running the club's day-to-day operations will get to prove they're the 'best for the job'?

was in paper also said they looking at making amercian team in san diego and using them as feeder club to Everton if they get us.

I hope that they meddle with our commercial activities. We are well behind the top teams in this side of the business.

Not sure this takeover is about to happen soon, maybe in a few weeks time. The way RM put it he was surprised that there was so much come out now, like its nowhere near. Going on about if or if not a takeover be sure Bill is the man to sort it either to the betterment of EFC or for it to be him still there, Bill is the best man for EFC!
Doesnt sound like soon to me.

{Ed025's Note - no one is sure of the time frame howie, there are still lots of issues to sort out in the process and once the legal teams get together it will probably take longer than people expect, but you never know with these things one party may just decide to walk away..its happened before mate..

Just as soon as I think RM is starting to get it he comes out with gumpf. Kenwright does not get the credit he deserves says Martinez. Well Roberto WTF do you know, Everton are like a Village, newcomers have to earn respect and after just 3 games of finally 'getting it' on the football front there is still a long way to go.

A week ago I posted a comment which finished with Everton fans being treated like mushrooms in muck.
I loath the RED ECHO and I am livid that I am told about the takeovef from them who treat us like Liverpool Reserves.
Evertons marketing is rubbish imagine if they had sent at least season ticket holders a lettter this week infotming us of the present position .
Just hope IF taken over they get rid of all those marketing managers or give them far more scope on communication .

{Ed025's Note - i imagine there will be a complete overhaul of the marketing strategy if we are taken over trebor, ours have under performed for many years now but people like moores and noell do not suffer fools gladly....as CJ from reginald perrin would say "they did not where they are today by having a bad marketing strategy".. :)
