Usanov is a business man same as moshiri he is waiting till Xmas to see how well everton actually progress koeman will keep stones and barkley rom will be sold with both jansen and millik coming in. Players out Hibbert osman Gibson pienaer Kone niasse howard. Players in forester Dann winjalum mata millik and jansen. I know people will say dream on, but I believe that the sleeping giant is about to awaken.

We might be a sleeping giant that's now awakening, but every other Premier League club will have been emboldened by Leicster City's success AND every club will be financially strengthened by the huge television money AND next season will be very competitive in my humble opinion with the "traditional" top 4 going full out to re-establish their supremacy while the rest of the clubs (including us) will have to fight tooth and nail to finish in the top half let alone in the Europa League or Champions League positions.

By all means dream - and have wishful thinking about Mr Usmanov - but I think it will be a tough journey to get back to our former glories, although I'm certain that Mr M9shiri will do his utmost to make it happen :-)

Sid who would you like us to try and sign and what do you think is a realistic target this season.

Feel Mata won't be a Koeman type of player, no pace and a luxury type. Koeman goes for high energy and lots of pace. I for one think someone will beat us to his signature and I am fine with that. Not saying he is a poor player, he is quite a good player just won't suit Koemans style of play. Mane and Bolasie for me are two better players, who's style would be what Koeman will look for.

Lads I think the first position we need to strengthen is goalkeeper I would like forster but don't see that happen so i would go for Leno he is a talented lad and still only 24 and he only has a year on his contract then we need a centreback I think dann ok but at 29 not great value for money I would like Virgil van djik he is proven quality defender in premier league and is good at set pieces plus is good in the air then midfield see us going for winjaldum but think we need a pacey left winger as well I would look at georges Kevin n'koudou of Marseille he would add lots of pace and a real goal threat then we need 2 striking options I would go for jansen who looks a decent striker then one from these strikers batashui, lacezetti, silimani or embolli we should aim high in r transfers because mishori certainly has aimed high in his search for a manager plus one more thing I hope with r new manager he still finds room for Tom Davies in his match day squad I think this lad is a massive talent and he has proved he can cope with the step up to premier league level what u think.

Have we actually got monshi yet . and has koeman or his agents actually been spoken to or is this all paper talk and rumours has anyone got any facts?

With Lukaku wanting to go, Niasse out injured it only leaves Kone so Lone's is looking quite good to me.

Hey

. it appears that RK has flown back on his summer break knowing he is happy with personal terms. after all that's whys his agent is paid so well. its up to the club now to finalise compensation n this can all be done without RK being here. the announcement n press conference n photo calls come later. imo

Mart.

Hi ed what's your role in football?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - if thats directed at me blueboy i dont have one mate, im merely an editor who gleans information from various sources and other editors my friend..

06 Jun 2016 21:40:53
Thanks ED was just wondering where your wealthy knowledge from 👍🏻⚽️.

{Ed025's Note - no probs mate..

06 Jun 2016 20:54:02
I too believe the Koeman deal will go through and the compensation negotiations are normal for someone of Koeman's stature in the game. As to the being offered a £100 Mill budget, as my Son In Law says (an RS by the way) that is nothing special, all the Prem Clubs will have a budget of similar size. Unless of course the £100 Mill is additional to the TV income we will get.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it will depend on what that £100m entails BCT, will it be that amount on direct transfers or will part of that go towards wages, agents fees and VAT etc?, i suppose we will have to wait and see but i think this moshiri is the real deal mate..

06 Jun 2016 21:19:02
Surely koeman would have asked those questions ed and liked the answers he got if its true that he is going to accept the job hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he and his advisors will have shogs, no one outside that room will know what was said but if he does sign on the dotted line then you would expect he was happy with the answers mate..

06 Jun 2016 21:24:01
Have no doubt whatsoever that he is the real deal. Certainly hit the ground running but there again you do not become a billionaire by being a mug.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats very true BCT...how did you make yours?.. :)

06 Jun 2016 21:37:51

saved up my threepence a week pocket money till I was 15 and legged it ed25, didn't smoke but invested in woodbines every pay day selling half a ciggy at an exorbitant sum on tick to the smokers that ran out of cash.

Anyone any thoughts on Lukaku replacement 12 months ago I would have said Benteke but I wouldn't give you my skid marked undies for him now?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - janssen is very much on our radar fitzy, but you never know rom might stay if RK gets the gig mate..

06 Jun 2016 20:56:50
Thanks Ed it would be good even though he's spouting on Ibrahimovic style about playing champions league footie and for an inverted commas bigger club he's still a 20 goal plus player.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2016 21:33:06
According to reports that Chelsea are going to sign alvaro morata so if that's true I would guess Chelsea will be out of the running to sign rom.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2016 22:32:22
Even if Rom stays do you not think we may still go in for someone like Janssen? Let Lukaku have some competition.

Hi eds i know we haven't yrt got a manager but could you tell me what players we have shown a great interest in? And who your ideal/ realistic signings you would like would be?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - we have looked at the likes of janssen ryan and also a couple of CB,s mate but its a bit up in the air at the moment what with the manager situation and the euro,s complicating things..

06 Jun 2016 20:40:45
At least Jansen is not in the euros otherwise we will have to add another £10 million every time he wins a corner.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2016 20:26:00
Think we should try and get that janssen regardless of what happens. He looks quality tbh.

Our new owner, is, without doubt, a very wealthey man, and fulley prepared to put his money where his mouth is, but if anyone in this manager sarga, southhampton, koeman, or the agent, is trying to hold him to ransom, he strikes me as someone who might just walk away, and move onto the next target. In short, someone you don't want to mess with.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i will have that JCW, he is not a man to be trifled with thats for sure mate..

06 Jun 2016 19:27:22
I've no doubt that all parties to the negotiations are trying to get the best deal for themselves, but will be doing everything reasonable to reach an agreeable decision. The old saying about not cutting your nose off to spite your face seems apt. The idea that any party would try to "hold someone to ransom" or walk away in a fit of pique is imho quite preposterous. Mr Moshiri, his associates, and RK's agent haven't become successful by acting (or reacting) in childish or petulant ways to difficulties during contract negotiations, etc.

Christ I wish this saga would end. I fly to Majorca tomorrow and was hoping to be lay on a beach with a smile like a Cheshire cat all week. If they don't announce it tomorrow morning I will be asking all week "Hey mi amigo. Senor Koeman, he has signed si? " :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you can get a british paper and sky sports news in majorca you know nick..your going to spain mate not outer mongolia?.. :) have a nice time mate..

06 Jun 2016 16:40:48
Hi ed do you think there is more to it then we're hearing why the deal hasn't been concluded and can you see there being any problems. How sure are you it will go through for koeman. And wats the chances of us getting monchi.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think the koeman deal will go through john as it would not have got this far unless most parties wanted it to happen, the monchi issue may be more difficult as other factors are involved and more problems with release clauses and compensation deals are a part of it, my guess would see koeman as 70/30% to the positive and monchi 50/50 but as i say its just a guess mate..

06 Jun 2016 16:54:25
Thanks nate.

{Ed025's Note - anytime mate..

06 Jun 2016 18:26:36
would we/ everton and mr moshiri want certain assurances. Koeman has been linked to some pretty big clubs in the past year or so. Barcelona Arsenal and so on.

would the hold up be due to the length of any contract being discussed and a release clause in that contract.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jun 2016 16:26:28
It's done now let's get monchi.

Sky sports Vinnie O'Conner saying that the deal has a possibility of being announced today but the likelihood is that it'll be tomorrow. Compensation agreed to be around £5 million.

So all said and done anytime within the next 24 hours according to him.

From Sky sports news

Everton and Southampton are close to finalising a £5m compensation deal for the Dutchman to take over at Goodison Park, Sky sources understand.

Excellent. Can you believe how many people thinking Koeman moving to Everton from Southampton is a backward or sideways move?! They're living in cloud cuckoo land. Southampton?! 1 FA Cup and a Johnstone's Paint Trophy 😂😂😂😂. Jokers. Back in the big time for us where we belong. COYB!

They are just upset mate, don't blame them to be honest, they will get over it, happens to us all.

06 Jun 2016 11:26:13
I hate it when the media try to sell our players to United. So I sympathise totally with Southampton fans who think RK should stay with them. I'm not saying they're justified by saying Southampton are a bigger club, they're not. But it is as annoying to them as it is when it happens to us.

They have my sympathy. And it looks like we have their Manager.

06 Jun 2016 14:02:53
Good appointment but we are a long way from the big time as RM left the club in such a mess, we need a complete rebuild and it will take time.
