A mate has just rang me up to tell me his company has just won the contract to put two new roofs on at our ground one main stand and park end? WHY?

Maybe he's pulling your leg? Maybe he means the new ground? Or maybe they just need doing? We are going to be here a while longer before the new place is built.

Not. Pulling my leg, it's a 10m contract, I don't and never have trusted Bill and his mates.

Cos we don't have a new stadium yet?
Cos the old lady is falling apart?
Health and safety?
FA rules or stadium standards?
Seriously is that question been thought out?

Cos i get wet in the Park End when it rains. Due to holes in the roof.

Why do some people always look for the negatives?

dave1878: because it’s in their nature to be negative - rather than standing up and being positive and risk being ridiculed when things don’t work out. I think that psychologists refer to this part of human nature as ”negativity bias”. There’s no responsibility for negativity, but positivity requires people to take responsibility for their beliefs. This is true for pretty much every aspect of life.

don't see why its a bad thing if they're getting a new roof anyway? we are at goodison for another four years what's wrong with improvings bits of it until we pack up and leave?

has anybody else heard about a rumoured board meeting today to discuss the managers position.

Not heard anything mate but I said the other day one should take place as soon as possible to sort out this shambles. If they don't come up with a solution soon I'm sure they will be left in no doubt what the fans think of them.

{Ed002's Note - The board know what the toxics think of them.}

Wasn't it a recruitment meeting. Why (despite criticism) would the Board at this stage of the Season get rid of the Manager. 37 points - is while not mathematically certain at this stage - looking like the safety number this season, we are currently on 34.

ED02 you call us toxics but do you not see why fans are angry fans spend a lot of money going home and away and we have a manager who blames the players when we lose and bigs himself up when we win i am sure that if you spent a lot on money on something and you loved it and it was shambolic you would vent as well.

{Ed002's Note - I understand why fans are not satisfied and want the side to do better - what I see here is ill-informed fans making knee-jerk reactions to matters they don't understand.}

Ed002: Are Evertonians any worse than other club’s fans In making ill-informed knee-jerk reactions?

{Ed002's Note - What has it got to do with other clubs. Seems to be a Merseyside trait to try and deflect.}

ED02 I just think that when you see a man in charge of our club who says things like to keep my job we have to win games which we are not doing that's 1 away win in 23 games (I know it started a long time before Sam came in) but all we ask is we at least try to win the game take watford he was about the bring Schniderlin on to try and keep the game at 0-0 and Watford bring an attacking player on and rightly so went on to win we played arsenal away and Sam's tactics got us battered (he started 3 cbs 1 being mangala who had 2 days training) I know the players are also to blame but if I was a player and I heard Sam take all the credit when we win but blame the players when we lose I wouldn't give 110% either so I can see where your coming from but as a born Blue I also understand our fans point of view as well the majority didn't want him and still don't me personally I would cut our losses and hope farad learns from this experience.

Try and look at it like this Bluey, and try to be patient -

This is only my opinion and just the way I see things but, Sam Allardyce was brought in to do one job and one job only - preserve premier league status. Not at all for a long term project. It is my belief that the main manager target is not available until the summer and there’s absolutely no point in making managerial changes until then, even if the football is dross to watch and we are certainly flirting with danger.

Fans these days expect instant success and overnight results. The reality is extremely far from that and I genuinely believe that although the Everton board have made a couple of wrong decisions, they’ll get it right eventually. If supporters continue to force the board in to making rash, knee jerk decisions, then the club will suffer. Supporters need to do what they’re supposed to do - support!

There’s two distinct camps within football these days - one that has the attitude that “we pay our money, we has Our say” kind of thing. This, I believe, leads to the toxic behaviour that we witness weekly at Goodison and on countless message boards. The other camp, like myself, are more traditional and will shout and cheer the lads in regardless. How it should be imo. I saw a video this morning of an arsenal fan in tears on a radio phone in. I was speechless at how pathetic he sounded.

{Ed002's Note - Another bit of cleansing of the site. Clearly you are not happy, so I have fixed it for you to find somewhere else.}

morning Pierre buddy I am patient and I don't expect a quick fix from this major setback of a season butvi also expect the board to learn from their mistakes maybe we sacked the wrong person and Koeman should if been retained and Walsh released I'm praying the board learn from their mistakes and they get the next appointment right as there should be a few managers available this summer.

To be fair ed 002 i think most of it is just venting. Its been a long extremely frustrating time for us evertonians and fans are looking for answers, reasons which is what fans will do. Now mix that with lack of footballing knowledge and blind anger and passion and its fairly natural for this to occur.
