PSG striker Guillaume Hoarau is set to reject offers from Everton and Sunderland to join Chinese Super League side Dalian Aerbin. They have offered to double his wages and if he moves there it obviously proves his motivation is money and not playing football at the highest possible level.

Believable24 Unbelievable3

Not surprised, all about the money to footballers seen as though its a job, in another field of work you go where the money is

Everton in for Ben Yedder. Advanced talks taking place.

Dixie 1878

Believable17 Unbelievable12

Why would we the guy has spent thee last 3 years on the bench & only scored about 10 goals in 3 seasons...

Agree0 Disagree0

He's scored something like 9 in 16 so far this season, so unless he only scored 1 in the previous 2 and a half seasons, that seems unlikely.

Hey ed, just read Heitinga is off to Galatasaray for a measly sum of 3 million euros!! you heard anything? seems very cheap to me.
TT {Ed021's Note - first I have heard mate

Believable2 Unbelievable19

3m euros is better than nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck to G-Saray! perhaps they should buy another defender at the same time!

BK is at Finch Farm. I have seen this with my own eyes, but nothing concrete about Arabs, i havnt seen any of those around. but it does make you wonder why BK is at Finch Farm given that he rarely visits there & would usually be occupying his office in London on a Friday, his busiest night of the week business wise.

Believable21 Unbelievable7

Meeting with David Moyes discussing transfer window targets money and maybe even throw in discussions about moyes's contract these could be all possible reasons why he's there

Agree0 Disagree0

Strange you say that kenwright wants investment now

Agree0 Disagree0

As soon kenwright gone the better

Agree0 Disagree0

He is there more than you think, it doesn't mean a takeover is happening!1 don't believe any of these takeover rumours until it happens

Agree0 Disagree0

Despite peoples woes about BK and i was dead against Kirkby he only wants Everton passed on to safe hands and not to some short sighted owner. He does not want to be known as the Chairman who sold Everton down the river, and i respect him because of this, and it takes time to find Mr Right so give him some more slack ! {Ed025's Note - well said..

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope this is true (above) however BK is famously tight, selfish and egotistical in the business he is in (I know this as my uncle is an actor) and the "search for Mr Right" maybe a cover up for the fact he doesn't want to let the club go, especially now we are sitting in 5th I cant see him letting anyone come in and take the club over or even invest for that matter, unfortunately! {Ed025's Note - "i know this as my uncle is an actor"!!!!! i had better watch that my head does not fall off, with the amount of shaking i am doing with it...unbelievable..

i think everton should a look at giuseppe rossi for around 4-5 million.he can play up front, midfield, right wing and is a natural goal scorer

Believable6 Unbelievable16

He also has an injury record that could rival Darren Anderton

Agree0 Disagree0

He's injured and has been for the last 6 months.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes signed for fiorentina on a 5year contract. Bill

Agree0 Disagree0

4-5 million wouldn't buy his boots when fit

Agree0 Disagree0

Just agreed to join Fiorentina

Lewis Holtby signs for 67k per week at Spurs. He's never played in England and is a big risk with his wages being so high.

It would have been a massive gamble to compete with Spurs for him, but I don't see him getting a start in their midfield, unless they lose players.

Blessing in disguise? Once a blue always a red, a white etc!

Nostrawigus

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Perhaps, but - and sorry about negativity - alls i see is spurs pushing onwards and us losing ground again...if we are to keep up with them we'll need the wheelie bin fella soon!

Agree0 Disagree0

Holtby only joining up with Spurs in summer, signed on a free. We will take Spurs all the way. No camels parked outside finch farm so don't think that's a goer!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Spurs is a step back for any player, look at pienaar and noughton

Agree0 Disagree0

We never actually offered him anything im sure if we would have he would have signed for us...

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 16:13:37
Holtbys gone to Spurs! So much for being an EVERTON & Arsenal fan then! Clearly motivated by money as I heard we had made an offer to him.

Believable5 Unbelievable12

How do you know he wanted to come to us anyway?

Agree0 Disagree0

Being a footballer is a job at the end of the day, think of it as being in any other type of employment, you go where the money is and where you can progress your career

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't care how good he is, i only want players who are committed to the club, if he is the big evertonion he claims, he would never have considered going to spures.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have been a good signing but now it's gone lets move on and concentrate on someone else!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a job for gods sake, are you telling me you wouldn't accept the best offer on the table? I know i would and the fact that he supported us does not even come into it. IT'S A JOB!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed for Editing my message that sounds a hell of a lot better. Mike B

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know we wanted him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Striker and holding midfielder are what we need and a useful centre back. Mirallas, Naismith, Coleman and big vic can play right wing so we are covered in that position. Need someone to take the burden of scoring goals off Jelavic and someone to cover Gibbo when he is injured. Also Distin cover just in case of injury. Heitinga will probably be the most likely to leave us this month. Vadis looks nailed on, Forren rumours growing regarding signing for us and moyes to get a decent striker in, trust in moyes with that one.

Agree0 Disagree0

He will sit on the bench at spurs. Won't progress and will leave within 2 seasons. He has wasted 2 years of his development. As a blue, did he not see Lescott, Pienaar and Rodwell? It's not always about who offers the biggest wage!

Agree0 Disagree0

We probably didn't even go in for him as it was down to a choice between spurs and arsenal. Think the fact he mentioned he followed Everton games because of his dad resulted in us all assuming we was in for him. so not lost out there. We need cover in other areas more. 67k a week ain't half bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Somehow i doubt Lescott will have regretted leaving us having won the prem and FA Cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lescott didn't win anything. He WAS a very small part for a short period of a successfull team. He could have been a big part of a potentially successfull team long term, with international prospects due to consistent club form. He will go to Villa and become average...

Agree0 Disagree0

Out of englands back 4 how many were made england internationals at everton, jags, baines and lescott, 4 out of 3

04 Jan 2013 15:36:24
Although i think its more likely to do with the under 14's seem to remember them playing a team from palestine this time last year in Kuwait, perhaps its a reciprocal visit.
The sort of project HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud is known to sponsor perhaps we'll get his attention!

Agree0 Disagree0

Please dont start this again every transfer window were being takenover blah blah blah

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 16:40:08
Has to be said we are ripe for a takeover good league position, trading at a loss mainly because of the level of debt. if you were looking to buy any club in Europe at the moment. Now is the time you might think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Believable1 Unbelievable25

04 Jan 2013 14:34:33
i'd like to see it though, i reckon you could sell tickets for that one {Ed025's Note - frank warren could promote it..

Everton are eyeing up a six-month loan deal for Man City winger Scott Sinclair.

Believable15 Unbelievable18

This can't happen. You can sign for 3 clubs but only play for 2 in any given season. Won't, can't, will defo not happen. Ed can you confirm? {Ed025's Note - your right mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought on loan didn't count {Ed025's Note - i think it does mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks would rather have lescott

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't the amnesty for loan maximums classed as the turn of the year. Had this debate last week and my mate seemed certain..

everton linked to kilgannon and shaw plus ofoe coming on loan lescott loan still yet could sign forren

Believable10 Unbelievable9

Who's kilgannon ? Never heard of him. {Ed025's Note - sunderland centre half..

Agree0 Disagree0

No we have no money simples unless we sell someone .

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 16:01:14
would not have either as a gift

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah, I see, Kilgallon, thought kilgannon was a different player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton linked to Shaw?? To a player who is not for sale?? Easy then to say it wasn't the clubs fault that he wasn't signed!

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 11:20:48
How much have we got to spend Ed? Must have 5 million at least surely. {Ed002's Note - I would not want to suggest a figure but I suspect a loan or two might be being considered for January.}

Believable5 Unbelievable7

ED, are you just going to regurgitate what DM and the papers have been quoting for ages?

Looking at the figure that came out today, it appears that 5 mil is around the figure we have to spend on wages. So it makes sense to say loans.

Why not just say that?

Ever-loyal-Everton fan circa 1984 {Ed025's Note - i think he did mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Behind the scenes moyes is trying to get some of the tv money coming our way next season to invest now and push for champions league. He is then due to sign his contract in feb so if he is backed in Jan he will sign. 10 years commitment and a total transformation of a struggling team to top 6 easy and playing great stuff, it's about time moyes made some demands to the board. He is well within his right too. Give moyes 10mill and its like giving any other manager 50mill. Publicly moyes doesn't want to get fans hopes up and also let other clubs know we have money to spend. It wouldn't surprise me if we sign Forren for 4 mill. I think heitinga will go. Even if we get 2 loans and Forren I would be happy. No matter what happens we have tv money guaranteed next season, potential income from Europe and if worst happens sell a player. I can't see a negative here apart from board not making funds available now for that push for top 4. {Ed025's Note - good post that mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 09:02:25
Great timing to announce 9m loss BK! I take it there will be no new players then??

Sinno24

Believable18 Unbelievable9

This always happens ha, only way we will sign someone is if we sell as normal

Agree0 Disagree0

The returns are for LAST year, so prior to player sales such as rodwell etc... Or any increased TV revenues. I'm sure there is a few quid knocking about!

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 10:26:32
It's loan deals only as moyes has already said

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not about time more that its P+L which every business do at the end of financial year do you know anything about business

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm... its year end, we have to release our financial reports then - and its not like we dont know we are skint - sell heitinga to turkey for 8 million and get a defensive midfielder and with the extra get a striker like charlie austin from burnley or jordan rhodes at blackburn .. both are well capable of adding penalty area power.

Agree0 Disagree0

But it works in our favour saying we've got no money, it stops clubs from over charging us for potential transfers. Looks like a very canny game Kenwright and the board are playing announcing the figures now (the statutory deadline is 28/02/13). Could be an interesting final week of January.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have only lost 1.1 mil on our overall debts not too bad, still manageable when u look at the debts of man u liverpool and chelski

Agree0 Disagree0

Do some of you people not read things properly? the loss is for the 11/12 season, does not include the money from cahill, rodwell or the nike deals, we have money to spend

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 15:08:40
Are you telling the truth about them Arabs?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 02:22:52
Everton are maybe stretching there budget as they look at Nani after he was thought to be unsettled OR Baines to Man U for a Nani and some cash added to the deal?

Believable2 Unbelievable29

No thanks!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather lose Fellaini than Baines. Baines is the family silverware, can't afford to let him go. As for Nani, thanks but NO thanks, vastly over-rated player, Mirallas and Pienaar are better. {Ed025's Note - i agree..

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely to replace baines we would need a player who can guarantee 20 odd assists a year... nani is not that player

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2013 18:02:10
From inside manchester united I know this is going to happen sooner or later, Nani's agent is in talks with everton for a player + cash including Baines.

It's a waste we don't have the funds, I thought Chelski got Demba Ba on the cheap.... In fact a steal..

Believable11 Unbelievable4

They got an absolute bargain. £5m and Demba Ba for Sturridge- If he turns out to be as good as he thinks he is then he'll be some player for the RS

Agree0 Disagree0

7mil, plus the ridiculous fees his advisors get, plus the 90k a week. Not a steal for us.
