According to Bobby were after one more player and we're done for this window. That's shocking considering our numbers match last season's. What about europa? And don't give me "the kids are making up the numbers" tripe because that's a terrible cup strategy.

I'd read into that as one more before the start of the season(a winger) and then see what happens on transfer deadline day as per usual.

He just said that were after a wide player. didn't say that was it.

Dw just after I posted this I read the interview and thought the exact same.

Doesnt say one more player, he said we are in for another player, you will find we will sign Atsu, Lucinda plus an other

One more wide player and one more striker and we'll be ok. If you count the likes of Lundstram, Browning, Hope and Ledson we'll have a squad of 30+. Coverage of at least 2 good players in each position.

I have to say I am very worried about the strenght of the squad, the bench yesterday was full of kids, we are starting the season with kone and oviedo injured, the squad is currently WEAKER than last year as we haven't replaced delofeu and traore, barry and lukaku were already here. Only centre mid has been strengthened with besic

last season the squad couldn't cope with injuries which ultimately cost us a champion leagues spot, so how can ee possibly cope with europa as well?

We are woefully short, the europa will strangle us with the current nunbers

Have to agree Jipster, I am also worried with depth of the squad in the attacking third. I hope its not a case we spent the whole budget on getting Lukaku ad have nothing left. I really hope we get the 2nd striker & a starting left winger

I reckon you guys will get in at least a couple of loan signings, and maybe a permanent. If you do then I think you've got a pretty strong squad. I am an outsider though so don't watch your team as much as any of you

I believe that we'll get another 2 maybe 3 players in before the window closes. A winger and another forward.

It's the African Cup of Nations. We don't want to pay his wages while he is away for a month and Chelsea are playing hardball - hence stalemate in negotiations

I don't think we were ever going to get him. He was used to push us into signing Lukaku. That is my belief.

Any news on atsu edds hope we get him meself like. Also what do you think on the chances of us getting remy

To add to my first rumour regarding Atsu to Everton, I can confirm the deal is not happening & Atsu will go out on loan elsewhere.

How about telling us why instead of repeating yourself.

Oh well, if he doesn't come so be it. I wish him luck elsewhere and we move on. Hardly the most devastating news. Would of liked him to come but that's life.

I added he will be loaned elsewhere, probably in the Prem. I know this due to history with the player in question.

He had 15 other offers, the fact he'll go elsewhere is hardly a groundbreaking development.

There is a slight problem with the African Cup of Nations in that we do not want to pay his (Atsu) wages for the month he is away. But Chelsea are playing hard ball

If it's right we move on. His loss.

Everton have not asked for a 6 month loan as this would take him to February anyway, the hold up is future transfer fee. Everton want the loan fee incorporated into the transfer fee, Chelsea are having none of it.

Take no notice of the "watch this space" brigade, they are in the dark

Must admit that seems quite a confident answer. How'd you know that or is it a very confident guess?

My mate works for Chelsea on players insurance. When a player is loaned out the parent club puts a hold on the insurance, and when sold it gets transferred or cancelled. He was spot on with Lukuku, even with the amount, I trust his comments.

I don't comment on here very often as when you let people know a rumour you get jumped on because its not what they want to hear or you have heard it before them.

Not very much information comes out of Everton but Chelsea is a different matter, let's face it there are only so many players in the class both clubs are looking at.

He has already mentioned about Remy being offered to both clubs with QPR paying 25% of his wages, Everton want at least 50%!
