Fer DEFINTELY wants Everton move
Believable16

Well I'd love to play for toffees too does that mean I'm going to be signed too?
Agree0
Disagree0
I guess the chances of him joining are "fer" to middling.
SecretSquirrel
Agree0
Disagree0
We will not sign Fer.
The reason we didn’t pursue this player is that Fer's knee (s) are knackered. He has extensive knee damage and would not stand up to the rigors of the premiership. Although the player and selling club wanted the move, it was not in Everton's commercial interest to invest in a player that (a) was injury plagued and (b) we could not buy insurance on as too risk laden for the insurance provider. This information was provided to me by a football scout (Currently at Blackburn Rovers) who has watched this player for the last few years. He did say he is a fabulous player but this injury will effectively finish him. {Ed025's Note - i dont think he missed a game last season..

Aren't they already involved in a club. I have heard there's connections within f1 looking to diversify they are after the tv money

Only in other countries same situation as man city taking control of a new American team. They see potential in advertising and tv rights chelsea already in partnership with f1 team this could really have legs ( or maybe wings ha)

According to another forum Heitinga has rejected a new contract to see how the land lies with the new manager and whther or not he is the future plans. a ploy to go on a free or genuinely wants to fight for his place and play like he did in the past. Difficult one to assess but I think I would be tempeted to give the guy the benfit of the doubt - thoughts? jlaff

Believable3
Unbelievable8
I wish this was true
Agree0
Disagree0
No he wont! Maybe £2.5m
Agree0
Disagree0
I doubt that.
My guess (no inside info!) is about half of that initial sum plus a sizeable proportion (but not all!) of money from outgoing transfers. We have to continue servicing our debts, while reducing them, and we must stop making annual operating losses - otherwise risk falling foul of financial fair play.
Agree0
Disagree0
31 May 2013 16:30:49
25million?
kenwright is taking the big P if that's all, so we recieved 52 million from tv rights last year plus the minimum of £15 million that was left when moyes missed out on a few deadline day deals leroy etc so that alone is just short of £70 million, minus players wages etc should be a hell of a lot more since more likely none will go towards wiping the clubs debt off to make us a more attractive proposition to buy
Blue Meanie
Agree0
Disagree0
We didn't have the money to buy Fer without selling Heitinga first, so where this figure of £15m comes from I don't know. We tried to restructure the deal to pay it on the never never, which would have been something like a £2m down payment and the rest based on appearances.
I see a lot of extremely disappointed Blues when we don't have anywhere near £70m to spend. It won't even be half of that. Try £20m (without sales) and that's being very optimistic.
Agree0
Disagree0
31 May 2013 17:31:41
were has this information come from,
Agree0
Disagree0
Can't even see that being available. Player wages are the biggest crippler to our beloved club. Wage cap needed asap.
Agree0
Disagree0
No he is right 15 million was going to be given to moyes anyway to keep him and after moyes left that freed up 10 million in the transfer budget
Agree0
Disagree0
If we had £15m in Jan, don't you think DM would have strengthened earlier instead of waiting for Heitinga to be sold and then going in for Leroy Fer. And I thought the Reds were deluded.
Agree0
Disagree0
Moyes has be over performing and never recieved 15m apart from when we sold rooney, we never have much to spend but every year everton fans try and pull mystery numbers out of thin air
Agree0

25 million. yeah right

The new manager will be an in-house appointment, probably Stubbs (3rd name on the list), with Ralf Rangnick in the background as a Director of Football/Sporting Director to provide advice. This is seen by Bill as a way of appeasing the fans who will be disappointed by the appointment.

Why not, we as a club deserve it don't we? :)

Agree0

We do deserve something positive 247. And I should have mentioned this was a guess rather than a rumour (I thought I did). I hope it's BS too Mike but it sounds plausible, to me. I wouldn't put it past Bill to give it to Stubbs if the speculation is anything to go by. At any rate, we should know something soon and I do sincerely hope I'm wrong, though I will support whoever gets the gig.

100% Certain on this now. MARTINEZ (the relegated manager), will tell EFC today that he will either pay the compo to wigan himself out of his four year deal on the table from EFC, or he is not prepared to pay it, and therefor rule himself out.
EFC have offered in the region of 10 million over 4 years, plus bonuses, so he will have to lose about 2 million out of that.
