What's wrong with given £3. 99 to Everton TV?

Agree4 Disagree0

One could argue that Premierhsip fans have given more than enough already.

Strange how Diame says he doesn't want to join us the same day as Barton says he does, especially that they have the same agent.

Whats strange? rm wouldn't give diame the time of day at wigan

Just heard that we are set to approach Abdisalam Ibrahim after he was released by man city yesterday. Personally I think he would be a great signing for us and we were interested last summer but city were asking for too much.

Saw Barton at Euston Tube Station today with two other scouse blokes. Poss meeting BK? {Ed025's Note - or his social worker.. :)

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Its his parole officer he was on his way to court. maybe

Agree1 Disagree0

BK is in the US

31 Jul 2013 21:59:41
Lets get this clear folks, joey Barton will not be joining everton, Martinez (& kenright for that matter) are not that stupid as there is a good team spirit currently building within the squad & they will not risk that being destroyed. Barton is not fit to wear an everton shirt & is reportedly willing to take a pay cut to 35k a week - I believe that's what baines is currently on, now at least he is a true blue legend.

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Worth a punt on his day.

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines is on almost double that mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 21:33:49
He's probably an agent for one or two of our players. {Ed025's Note - or a secret agent?.. :)

Joey Barton should never ever set foot in side Goodison unless its with the away team. He would drag us down like suarez has done for the reds MARKYG

Bartons agent was involved with Doncaster 2 seasons ago. Got them to sign upwards of 15 of his players on loan, all in the shop window and all playing for themselves. Needless to say they were relegated before anyone else in the country. wouldn't to either the player or the agent with a barge pole.

Mohammed Sissoko rumoured to be a target for Everton. PSG look set to release him on a free, personally think this would be a great signing. Better the Barton anyway!

apparently the lads have had a tour around Alcatraz today, probably checking out new digs for barton.

Believable17 Unbelievable0

Did you get this joke from all the comments on the pics on ?

Not got to clue what that is mate, got the joke off my daughter, who I expect got it from somewhere. I thought it funny enough to pass on

31 Jul 2013 19:36:53
Well it's 19:35 and no Fellaini bids to our knowledge. so either no interest or release clause is the one reported to be until 19th August

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Or other clubs are not willing to meet the release clause and no we need the money and will offer us around 18m in a week or 2

Agree0 Disagree0

Or we could simply install a higher more realistic release clause once this one expires. ( Keep the vultures away ). {Ed025's Note - or we could just say no SB..

Agree0 Disagree0

I was thinking the same thing, looking at the clock and counting down the last few hours hoping no bid comes in. I for one think felli is a quality player and really want him to stay. I just wish we knew a bit more about this release clause, is it th 31st, 14th, 19th or another date not mentioned!

Agree0 Disagree0

I am happy to keep him he can control all midfield with Gibson can't see many teams over running fellaini

Kondogbia (Sevilla) is our big money signing as McCarthy proves too expensive

Believable6 Unbelievable15

Is he a forward or. Cm {Ed025's Note - CM..

Agree0 Disagree1

He's a CM who can do a bit of everything a more dynamic McCarthy if you will

Agree0 Disagree0

Good player think we have a chance of signing him ed? {Ed025's Note - real madrid are also interested..

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance will he sign for us, loads of other clubs are interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes you say this?

This month alone I have seen interest from

chelsea
arsenal
ac milan

and

According to Marca R. Madrid have made contact with his representatives, It was only this morning I seen this too.

None from Everton though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Real Madrid had 13million rejected.

Tom

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea and Madrid are stocked in midfield and are pursing other targets bale/Rooney arsenal are completely incompetent and Milan can't even afford the nominal fee to bring Honda in now this can happen if Martinez moves quickly

Agree2 Disagree0

I don't think we will do a big money signing. My mate gone to america and was one who got tp a q&a with elstone. He has said there is no money. And it will be loams from now on

Would anyone touch Saloman Kalou for around £2.8mill. Did okay at Chelsea and a good squad played heavily linked with West Brom.

Also heard a few rumours about Heitinga to Liverpool.

Sean Graggsy

Believable4 Unbelievable25

Where about would I have to touch him for that?

Wasy {Ed025's Note - like it wasy..

Agree0 Disagree0

I would, always caused problems for us when he played against us, and only a few days off 28 he's still young enough to make an impact over the next 3-4 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 17:59:41
Hietinga to Liverpool?. ha, I hope so, let him cause havoc in their defence instead of ours!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bad shouts them mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I liked him. Just not sure whether he's is a wide man or a central striker. always scored against us though

£2. 8 Mil is a snip right?

Just been announced that Bartons agent approached Everton NOT the other way around.
We have recently lost a man who epitomised what Everton stand for, Barton should not be allowed to wear the same shirt.

Believable22 Unbelievable2

Well said dude

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree entirely.

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree 100%

31 Jul 2013 14:09:21
Is it true that Diame has rejected us in favour to stay at west ham, that's what all there fans seem to think.

Believable13 Unbelievable8

Heard 3 weeks ago from Liverpool echo. But for me he is useful player if Felli leave us only. If not we supposed to find creative player not powerful player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like we've got Barton positive talks have happened and he's tweeted once a blue. Brings grit, passion and drive to the team. I'm happy

Believable14 Unbelievable29

He's a knob. Hate him. Don't need him

Agree2 Disagree1

Never should he be allowed anywhere near our great club. He's just a thug who gives scousers a bad name.

Agree1 Disagree0

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. I mean no no no we are everton. everton and he is not what we want or need.

Agree1 Disagree0

Give him a chance.

Agree1 Disagree1

Im not a big joey barton fan myself, but i've heard he's willing to take a wage cut, but only for Everton.
In the modern game that goes a long way in my book, so maybe he should be given a chance, but one chance only to prove he's worthy of pulling on the famous blue jersey.

Agree1 Disagree0

OP are you Joey Barton's mum?

Agree0 Disagree0

He would upset the squad. But another example of a player who is using everton to get a move to another club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, give him a go. Especially as he's willing to take a pay cut but only to join the blues.

Perhaps there could also be some contractual clause that any nonsense and he doesn't get paid

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 13:57:41
where linked with anderson from united in a 7mil deal. accoring to reports {Ed025's Note - i would take him. good player IMO..

Believable9 Unbelievable18

Me to ed think he would be a great signing

Agree0 Disagree1

31 Jul 2013 14:32:18
Good player but think he will be worth more than 7 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Its reported on another site. I don't think he is worth much more than 7mil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't find any links to him to everton {Ed025's Note - try newsnow everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

His salary is around £2m a season. So would be affordable for Everton. The man has immense potential, but never stays fit long enough to get a run going. But are these links just lazy journalism due to MU interest in Baines and supposed interest in Fellaini? Are they suggesting some sort of player plus cash deal?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks. Never rated him!

Agree0 Disagree0

SportsDirect News, say no more. Non story

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you all havin a laugh?. He's not a good player and worth nowhere near 7 million. United fans can't wait to see the back of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's got to be one of Uniteds worse players! No thank you very much. We'd be more than helping United offload there trash

Agree0 Disagree0

Another great player Fergie ruined. He was one of the best attacking midfielders in the world at Porto, then Fergie suffocated him. Did the same with Rooney & Smith.

Agree0 Disagree0

No thank you very much!

Agree0 Disagree0

Anderson!He is awful.

Agree0 Disagree0

If fit a great player. If we could get him for 5-7m then I see that as a worth while gamble. Would defo improve the team

Agree0 Disagree0

IMO SAF did ruin Anderson. At Porto he was a very special CAM, but SAF tried turning him into a deeper midfielder instead of playing him CAM where he was best. He is 100 times the player Gibson is and Everton got the best out of him. For £7m he would be a steal. Still only 24.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 16:38:38

Joey Barton has asked Martinez to sign him as he is an everton fan can't see him on our doors but I would sign him however 1 bad thing he's gone

Believable5 Unbelievable12

So am I think I'll give Roberto a call

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 12:09:19
If we sign him then i'm sorry its RM out BK out. {Ed025's Note - i dont want him, but thats going a bit far..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is everyone against signing Barton he is free he is a decent player and we need cover for center mid the only downside is his temper and he has calmed down a lot in the last couple of years so I would defiantly have him

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you want him?. Is he better than Gibson? NO he wouldn't improve the team and we don't need a loose cannon at this club. He's had his chance to play for us before but chose to accept more money instead. Is that an Evertonian?.

Agree1 Disagree0

Come home Joey lad, once a blue etc.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

31 Jul 2013 11:34:41
Old news.

Agree1 Disagree0

He can't exactly say yes or no Tom would be unprofessional

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought it was more like he doesn't know which I think means if Everton accepts an offer them maybe but if they don't then not bothered, did u see his face when he said he'd make him captain he was buzzing, if he was in two minds about going I think they might be put to bed after he told bainsey what every evertonian thinks of him, hopefully anyway.

Agree0 Disagree1

If youd made the mistake of offering some lads a lift, then they got buzzy hardly the best time to give any sort of insight into yourfuture plans, they weren't exactly open in their filming were they?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he can hardly answer. If he says yes, there would be an uproar and all that malarky.

He can also hardly deny it because if a offer of £20mil comes in from Utd and we accept and he does go, then people will accuse him of being a traitor because he said 'no' but left anyways.

He can't win either way.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would you have expected him to say anything about the inner workings of the club to four drunken kn*bheads? Get a grip of yourself and leave the kopite behaviour at the door

Agree3 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 11:12:09
Despite distin coming out and saying we don't need any more players, I dissagree strongly. Yes we have a very strong squad, arguably the best for many years, but that is no reason to take the foot off the pedal otherwise we could be in danger of going backwards. I believe this is a perfect time to invest. The following would make us serious contenders for CL and not outsiders with a chance.

Ashley Williams/ or Sakho (cheap alternative: Rolando) McCarthy (cheap alternative: Diame) Moses () Barton (worth a pop in my eyes) Ibrahim (Loan him out to another club-100% of his wages being paid. ) Another striker. Cannot really name anyone though.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Do not buy Bartoon Big Mistake to much trouble.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 10:24:24
Right Joey Barton rumours. I think he has done some bad things in the past but I honestly think with the right man management and if he got his head screwed on he is a quality player he proved that in France last season plus he is a blue and surly would give everything for the blue shirt. So I say give him a go on a free on half wages we could end up looking back at a bargain.

Believable16 Unbelievable11

Am with you on this for a free transfer there not much better out there, plus he make are midfield strong an being a blue he put his heart an soal into playing for us from beard blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing a player does usually pose a risk. However, surely the free transfer and 50% wage reduction eliminates the element of risk. Ossie, Feli, Gibbo, Barkley, McCarthy, and Barton. That seems to me like a very strong Central midfield.

Agree0 Disagree1

Here here! Big dunc was a bit like him too and we class him as a legend, and to be honest, I would never turn my back on a blue who wants to okay for us and take a pay cut! COUGH COUGH. ROONEY!

Rich84

Agree0 Disagree0

Cuckoo. cuckoo

Agree0 Disagree0

Sinnot mate do you think joey barton will get a move to man u man city liverpool. chelsea. arsenal. spurs. so why us. you can't change people mate. suarzez. gazza. etc he will always be trouble one way or another. are we that desperate. trouble in dressing rooms cause rifts. we have a happy dressing room so why would you want him. did you forget about him stubbing a ciggy out on a young city players face. you wouldn't do that to your worst enemy. the attack on a young lad in liverpool city centre caught on camera and you want him at are club. THIS WILL BE A VERY SAD DAY IF THIS HAPPENS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont understand all this "he is a blue" BS. He has disrespected our club by mooning our supporters and not to mention him assaulting a 15yr old Everton fan.

Then there is all the other crap this lad has pulled throughout his career. He is nearly 31 and he will never change, he is a person who I don't want anywhere near our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 11:11:42
Please please Roberto don't sign Barton and sign McCarthy he's younger, better, doesn't get into trouble and Could sell him on for a lot more than we payed for him

Agree0 Disagree1

The guy's a person. I'm all for giving someone a second chance but this kid has had many opportunities to sort himself out and prove he's a different character but every single time he does something despicable and never learns. We should steer well clear of this kid, we don't want or need him dragging the name if our great club down.

Agree0 Disagree1

In the end of the day he's a blue, we can't just turn our back. He wants to play for his beloved boyhood team. He would take a 50% pay cut I doubt we would see Rooney do that for us. So on a free and he would give a 200% every game he played. Either way i'd rather have Barton on a free over McCarthy for a reported 15 mill.

Agree0 Disagree1

Think he's worth a punt as a squad member

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree a player of his quality with strict management would be a bargin, its his last chance to prove himself in the premier league. he did well in france and when focused can behave himself.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is on a free and affordable wages, it could be written into his contaract that if he oversteps the line in anyway at all. then his contract can be ripped up there and then!

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally disagree! our club is a stable club and this season could be a massive season for us. Why would we want to take the risk and have this thug on our books to ruin it all because I think he doesn't know how to behave himself and has proved that at nearly all the clubs he has played for! Funny how now he is desperate for a club he wants to play for us!

Agree0 Disagree0

When was the last time Barton was introuble? {Ed025's Note - when was the last time hannibal lecter ate anyone?....does it matter?

Agree0 Disagree0

'In the end of the day he's a blue, we can't just turn our back. He wants to play for his beloved boyhood team '.
Erm, so am I (a blue) and so do I (want to play for Everton), doesn't mean it's going to happen, or should happen.
At the end if the day he's made his choices in life and has to live with the consequences, if this means Roberto won't take him so be it. He only has himself to blame, nobody else.
Now, he may well end up signing but it won't be because he's a blue and wants to play for Everton it will be because El Bob thinks he can do a job for the team/squad. Sentiment will play absolutely no part on the decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

Joey Barton? Rather sign Warren Barton.

He may be worth a punt though. NFL style hoof into the Channel?

Agree0 Disagree0

DONT DO IT BLUES. WE WILL REGRET IT>

Agree0 Disagree0

So you would rather have Barton for free than McCarthy for 15 mil. I can't even believe anyone is even contemplating having this person anywhere near our great club. You're insane if you think he will bring anything good to our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2013 10:00:47

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Please God nooooooooo!

Agree0 Disagree0

This can not be true, a massive step backwards. he's trouble. trouble and more trouble. we need to stay well clear. Richie. Huyton Blue.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance weather he loves the club or not he would not improve us and he would bring to much trouble on and off the pitch, it's tabloid rubbish not going to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be interesting seeing him in a derby though, for free I would take him

nessy

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree with nessy!

Agree3 Disagree0

I would take him, just put a clause in his contract and I think he would accept that himself {Ed025's Note - how about a clause that says...keep away from our club you low life?..

Agree0 Disagree1

Can't see this at all. Rm gone on last few wks about bringing in the right kind of people. Would be very disappointed if we signed him but think its extremely unlikely!

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of day I'd take him. He's a true blue and would give everything for the blue shirt. Remember big dunc I feel some blues are hypocrites. He's quality and with the right man management could be good for us

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't agree ed. give him a 12 month contract. {Ed025's Note - i also think he deserves 12months...in prison!..

Agree0 Disagree0

If Barton can keep his head he be a great signing for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Joey is good friend of mine from when he lived in Widnes. Many a night out in the Tav.
This is true and trust me he has been trying to get this move for 5 years. This won't happen this time either. More the pity.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not a good enough player for our club and more importantly he's not a good enough person to play for Everton!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see Roberto being that dumb. Gone for players he knows and trusts so far. This is just Barton's agent trying to get interest in him. Hope I'm right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't compare Barton and Big Dunc. Dunc was a hard man who occassionally crossed the line in the heat of a match, Barton is a thug. Don't remember Big Dunc assaulting young fans much.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is no hard man he is a thug

I cannot understand people who now say they want joey barton wearing a blue shirt. Have u all got very short memories, he has called Merseyside several times, he is a troublemaker who obviously gets paid far far too much for trying to kick a ball in a net, would everton not be better of my giving some of his wages to local food banks as us hard working people cannot afford food let alone have enough money to go drinking, be violent and insult the city of Liverpool and its residents another one who forgets where he comes from.
