Oh shame. I quite liked him. So what then is the price going to be. 30 plus Connelly = 50 million.
He's one for the future. Now I'm thinking how to evaluate an up and coming English Defender. I wouldn't want Everton to put up more than 30 cash upfront. Even writing that I'm not particularly happy with the deal.

Dont like the idea at all. Would rather loan him out and meet the asking price then lose a young lad with potential to save 5 to 10m. Could end up with a dier/ mustafi situation. Youth is priceless in my eyes.

Cheers ed for your reply. The more I think about it the more I hate the deal. I think Swansea are getting a cracking deal at 45/ 50 mill cash. Now 40 plus Connelly. They getting an even better deal. WHAT THE HELL. I'd rather Everton just pay th 50 mill and keep Connelly.

Sorry still going on about it. 2 or 3 years time they'll sell him for 30 Mill at least. Who ever come up with this potential deal. I'm sorry has got it seriously wrong.

The player has made his intentions known to Swansea so let them stew on it and see how long they want to put up with the uncertainty. What Clement said yesterday has only put them all under pressure. Very naive. This one will go one way, and that is Sigurdsson joining us with Swansea settling for less than £50 million. They are rushing the deal. Everton are showing a cool head here and for once it looks like we are in the driving seat and not Swansea.

Swansea do not want to sell, would you if he was the difference between survival in a very lucrative Premier League and dropping out, well worth 50 mill. So us in the driving seat remark is way off, only correct if it is the back seat driver.

I disagree Bill. They are willing to sell, he said so in his interview. They just prefer him to stay. When they said it needs resolving quickly they put themselves under pressure for the first time. All the noises coming out of Swansea, whether it’s the club or the fans is that they know he will not be there so get the best price and get it quick.

McArthy will go if someone wants to take the chance (injuries) . Besic is very talented but his style of play and effort he puts in, means he is always going to get injured, it is a catch 22 situation and depends on his contract with us.
