I understand we will sign Brahimi which I think is a great signing. Kone bid rejected £20m but Sunderland know he will go and may request Kev Miralles in exchange, Moyes desperate for players and may go for Darren Gibson on loan. Still a chance another player may come on loan, Bony?

No way will miralas leave. he's playing well this season and seems to have his hunger back . I'd get rid of mcgeedy and Lennon first.

Give the ncgeady, lennon, and lone or niasse.

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Aug 2016 07:13:15
And I'm not sure Mirallas would relish the chance to go to Sunderland either.

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Aug 2016 07:41:14
I hope to God he does not go. Although he enjoyed playing under Moyes. when he had his best time with us unlike under Martinez. let's hope his improved form reflects his feelings towards Koeman.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2016 08:57:33
All the noises Koeman has been making would suggest he rates Mirallas quite highly and the player seems to have responded well to the new manager. No way will he be heading to Sunderland.

No chance kev is leaving.

It is looking possible. I can't say more than that. Too many factors pop up on these things that can change the situation.

Hi Blues

I know he is a controversial choice and many people don't rate him but i think Jack Wilshire could be worth a punt. I say this though only on certain terms which i don't even know if they would be possible.

We take him on the season long loan but with the following deal - a termination clause if he gets a serious injury. If there is a loan fee, this gets decreased in value if he misses a certain percentage of matches through injuries, so perhaps pay half in advance and the remainder based on the games he was available for throughout the season.

I am very dubious of his injury record but i am wondering if maybe he is not committed as much as he could be at Arsenal. He thinks he's a golden boy there but by being told he has to go on loan could give him a real kick up the ass that his future is on the line at last. He needs to perform well this year to either stay with Arsenal or at least become an attractive proposition for other teams he would want to join and so this season long loan could see him play to the best of his ability and whoever gets him could really benefit from this.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - i cant see arsenal agreeing to that worcester, by the way it is jack that has asked to go on loan not arsenal mate..

30 Aug 2016 21:44:18
I had the same kind of feeling about Balotelli, try to get him on loan with a behaviour clause. All it takes is one gamble to pay off and it can gain you 10 points a season. PS I know Liverpool wouldn't do that but surely some players are worth a gamble. What's better? Paying £13.5m for Niasse?

Agree2 Disagree4

31 Aug 2016 00:48:52
I think in most cases when someone on loan sustains an injury they return to the parent club for treatment depending on how serious of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 22:56:43
Thanks Ed, i had no idea Jack asked for the move. I assumed it was a club choice due to not playing plus being stacked in that position. He must be confident he is going to stay fit this year if he wants to move for regular game time, else it just seems pointless asking to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think he feels he needs a break worcester and needs game time, he has not been getting that at arsenal plus a lot of his problems have been personal ones created by the crowd he knocks around with, the smoking and drinking issues has seen him fall lout with the hierarchy at the emirates and a move away seems the logical solution mate..

30 Aug 2016 20:34:14
Ed heard anything on charlie Taylor from Leeds coming? Would make sense for oviedo to go Lisbon as well.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - nothing tangible berkshire, hes a very good prospect i feel the money leeds would want is way over the top, brian has been so unlucky with injuries that a move to lisbon that may sort him out financially is the least we can wish for him mate..

30 Aug 2016 20:58:58
OK cheers, heard 7m for Taylor.

Looks like we have pulled out of the gabbiadini deal cause we could not agree a fee, hopefully we have pulled out to give us time to compete a move for a new target.

I'm not aloud to specify mate, but i don't like to post rumours unless its realiable. They told me about Bolasie And Gueye before media was all over it, so they're normally 100% reliable, let's just wait and see.

{Ed025's Note - thats fair enough lewis mate..

30 Aug 2016 20:26:00
Lewis is gabbidon your source?

30 Aug 2016 18:03:52
Is ther any chance on Everton signing jack wilshire on loan?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - jack wheelchair is always injured fozz, i cant see it myself mate..

30 Aug 2016 18:17:04
No chance, he's injured that much Liverpool would certainly outbid us.

30 Aug 2016 18:29:24
All flash, no delivery, treatment room already overcrowed, plus, finch farm is a no smoking site, so he won't be comeing.

i can't see us signing anybody tomorow tbh that napoli lad isn't coming apparently so who else is there for us. i really hope we sign a few players. coyb.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed025's Note - i will say that we will sign at least one roberts..

30 Aug 2016 17:41:36
Heard anything about Brahimi ed? . Or is this a none starter? .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it looks like he may be the back up if we cant land gabbiadini gibbo..

30 Aug 2016 17:52:55
Brahimi would be my number one target.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he is very good TT but maybe with his strength being on the wing where we are strong is making him second choice?..

30 Aug 2016 18:15:14
Are the Everton negotiators just on a long Italian holiday? If you get fed up with Naples, Florence is nice!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 17:06:22
Not transfer related as such. But today feels like xmas eve when i was a kid. So looking forward to tomorrow. I think after moshiris comment "Watch this space" means we are going to bring someone special in tomorrow. Maybe 2 who knows. either way i'm excited.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think we all are anom...or should be mate..

30 Aug 2016 17:20:36
Im exited too but can't see any movement happening tbh all our targets either staying with yhere clubs or going to another team.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed025's Note - have faith mate..moshiri will be trying his best and thats good enough for me..

30 Aug 2016 17:03:52
Apparently Axel Witsel's agent has just said that although his player was holding out for a transfer to Juventus, Everton have put in a serious proposition. He mentioned wages being a stumbling block with Juve. so I am guessing we have offered a substantial package to him? Interesting.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

30 Aug 2016 17:14:30
Forgot to say. perhaps Lukaku staying and Mirallas looking good again. aren't they all mates in the Belgium squad? And who is their new national manager. maybe just maybe more is going on than we imagined.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 18:36:32
Rarther than a money wasting panic buy, always had the view that an in form and motivated Mirallas, could play as a striker, particularly if were bringing in another winger.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 13:37:32
So according to the Italian press the only hold up for gabbadini is that Napoli want a replacement in place before they let him go, I wonder if they have ever heard of an awesome striker called Oumar Niasse ;-P.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

30 Aug 2016 13:47:28
apparently they want bony.

Agree1 Disagree1

30 Aug 2016 14:05:07
Bony is on his way to . Napoli! The plot thickens.

30 Aug 2016 16:02:30
Echo say that Italian reporter glanluca di marzio saying that we have gave up on sigining gabbiadini because we don't think we will be able to agree a fee with Napoli it was posted on echo live 30 minutes ago.

30 Aug 2016 16:43:46
Cant see Bony going to Naopli to play second fiddle to Milik.

30 Aug 2016 12:41:12
Just felt like popping on here to say that I'm loving all of the positivity on here at the moment. I think that Moshiri has moved the club on more in 6 months than we have moved in my lifetime. He's even achieved the impossible feat of making Degsy happy!

To be fair, I've always been the first one to criticise Degsy for his posts, so credit where credit's due Degs I've really enjoyed your recent posts. I like the way you come at things from a different angle, and your posts are really interesting without all of the negativity. I think you've only mentioned Moyes once as well ;)

Providing we get a striker I think we can make do with what we have until January at least.

Do any of the Eds know of any other names linked to us apart from ones we have heard of already? (e. g. Bony and Gabbiadini etc)

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I think there will be a lot of effort to find a new home for Oumar Niasse and Begovic can be forgotten.}

30 Aug 2016 13:01:26
Hey thanks. But I had reason to be negative. do you realise how close we were to getting relegated in the last couple of seasons? But yes, we are now going in the right direction and the slide seems to have stopped. You say I have not mentioned Moyes. but I will say Koeman is closer to Moyes than Martinez with way of tactics and players he likes. oooh I had to get that in lol I can't wait to see who we get in the next 36 or so hours. I am confident we will get at least 1 and maybe even 2 real quality big money signings. I am hoping for Sissoko and Brahimi and maybe even Kone. Imagine all that pace in the side.

Agree1 Disagree1

30 Aug 2016 13:29:15
Agree with everything there Degsy apart from us being close to relegation. Things were bad last season and to an extent the season before but we weren't that close to relegation. Sunderland on the other hand were a lot closer.

I would agree that is where we were heading under Martinez. If he was kept it would have been only a matter of time before we would be end up relegated.

Totally agree with your view on Koeman and Moyes. In all honesty I'd rather Koeman though.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 13:37:03
Degsy we were mid table both season we had as much chance of being relegated as being in Europe! I am much happier with RK in charge though very impressed with his performance so far.

Agree1 Disagree1

30 Aug 2016 14:06:01
Although with the points we finished mid table Degsy does have a point as there were times we hit some real lows and we were getting beaten by teams that should not have been beating us! So it could have turned into a close relegation disaster!
Not sure if that's what you were getting at Degsy.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 14:25:07
I agree about the comparisons, I do believe that Koeman is a far superior manager though. For me, Moyes, although very effective, often struggled to have a Plan B formation or tactic, whereas Koeman has a Plan C as well as a Plan B! We are currently grinding out results under Koeman in a similar way to Moyes' reign, but this a with a squad low on confidence with the incompetent ghost of Martinez still weighing heavy on some of the lads minds. It's no coincidence that our best players so far have been Holgate and Gueye. We are a team on the up though, and as long as we get 1 or 2 faces in I think we have half a chance of top 6.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 14:49:00
Agree, under Martinez we would have lost the WBA game 2-1, under Moyes we would have equalised and then hunkered down for the draw.
Koeman has that edge to turn a loss into a win.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 15:44:34
We would have lost by more under Martinez.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 16:48:24
Can see where Degsy is coming from here. What with throwing stupid points away as well as the players looking low on confidence, we certainly had a look of a club on a downwards spiral. Although Rom never scored in the run in, his goals earlier in the season counted. Imagine if he was firing blanks, like he is at the moment, for the majority of last season and we would have been in trouble.
Still, them days have gone. RK, FM and SW are steering us in the right direction and, as fans, we should be nothing but optimistic of our future both short and long term.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im with you there spud..

30 Aug 2016 16:50:39
Southern Toffee that's exactly what I was getting at. 2 seasons ago we went 11 games without a win with about 17 games left. We then scraped a few lucky points. Last season we had Lukaku out of form and injured. ok we stillwon a few but once you start sliding. its difficult to get out of it. Like all the pundits say. things seem to go for the teams at the top and against the teams at the bottom. Added to which, every season there seems to be a mid table team that starts to slide and ends up in the bottom 3 for a period. Sometimes they get out. sometimes they go down. I believe if Martinez had stayed and we had continued to sign the calibre of players that he had already, our squad would now be in a terrible mess. Thank goodness Koeman has come in and immediately added some backbone and pace. My one grateful thing of Martinez was signing a 20 goal a season center forward. We now have to get the players around him so that he can start banging them in again. If you think about it.7 points from 9.and Lukaku has not even scored yet! That would never have happened under Martinez.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2016 19:32:44
I agree with degsy the only reason we wasnt in a bad relagation scrap last year is because every1 else was so bad below us, look at the points tally, and don't forget 3 of those points we got after he left. If the relagated teams wernt so bad last year with the added pressure of bein right in amongst it things could of turned out worse ya never too good to go down once your in the scrap eg. Leeds, newcastle to name 2.
