02 Jun 2016 19:20:56
Surely we would need the permission of Southampton to speak to their manager?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

02 Jun 2016 19:33:49
Would a compensation package be agreed in principle before talks Ed?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There would be a need to agree something with his club before talking.}

02 Jun 2016 19:39:46
Cheers Ed. So it's a case of waiting for official confirmation of talks from either Everton or Saints before getting excited.

Agree5 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not even sure they would confirm anything.}

02 Jun 2016 20:56:37
Koeman will not be the next Everton manager. I promise.

Agree4 Disagree3

02 Jun 2016 21:14:25
Well that's settled then johnfolk. Must move onto the next candidate then.

Agree3 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 21:28:15
Pick your top 3 or 4 best managers then talk to ether one by one. it's the right chose that matters in the first place.

Agree1 Disagree3

02 Jun 2016 21:30:28
Why's that then JohnFolk?

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 21:59:10
Cos these guys either want to stay safe. move on if they think they can improve. or their agents want a slice of the action. for once efc find a talented manager with at least premier and euro experience and stick with him.

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Jun 2016 22:43:23
Sorry I am totally confused by what you are actually trying to say Johnfolk.

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Jun 2016 22:53:04
Basically he is saying get pellagrino.

02 Jun 2016 22:56:38
We are surrounded by roumours and hype. the next Everton manager will want the gig or want the pay. so. he is to step up . want to work in the premiership. be the next loser. right?

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Jun 2016 08:10:16
Johnfolk you are baffling me as to what point you are trying to make!
Once Mourinho went to Manchester United we are the next biggest news worthy team searching for a manager so we were bound to have loads of rumours.
Yes some of those managers just want the money or just want to use us as a platform for what in their minds are bigger and better things but that is the way things go, there are no certainties in life. That's why Koeman is considering us as we are the "next level" in his eyes and there aren't many teams that can out muscle us financially now.
Personally I am torn as to who I want as coach but one thing I do know is I like the SD and Coach set up so let's just see how things play out.

03 Jun 2016 08:17:06
Southampton daily echo said they r still hopeful koeman will sign new contract plus they haven't given permission for koeman to talk everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jun 2016 08:17:30
Sorry I don't understand your reasoning!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 23:39:48
But wouldn't need permission to talk to his Agent. Would you?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, that would be day-to-day business for an agent.}

02 Jun 2016 19:18:56
Hi Ed I don't know if you have seen or heard what was said on SNN this evening but that did not sound convincing to me what this supposed agent was saying about RK coming to Everton I think this is just lazy journalism any views from you, cheers GuernseyBle.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I know SSN means Sky but I am not aware of his agent saying anything so I am unable to comment GB.}

02 Jun 2016 18:36:55
People are saying that Koeman and his agent are on their way to Merseyside, but aren't Kenwright and Moshiri based in London?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Whilst Everton are interested in Koeman (and haven't lost sight of de Boer) they have no permission to talk directly to him.}

02 Jun 2016 18:51:43
I didn't know that! I was mainly thinking of the logistics of it, like me going to work and heading in the opposite direction.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't get over-excited about the minute-by-minute updates on Twitter or whatever Hugo.}

02 Jun 2016 18:56:15
Im staying doubtful, just easy to constantly refresh the page and see if there's any slight developments! Haha. Whatever happens, happens. Trust the board, or Moshiri, to make the right choice.

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Jun 2016 18:58:45
So does that mean koemans agent could still be coming for talks ed? Just to maybe see what kind of offer is on the table?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea where his agent is but he has previously spoken to the club and will already know the future plans.}

02 Jun 2016 18:17:09
Sly sports report just reported Everton have come back in for Koeman, they spoke to a dutch reporter who backed the story up and closed with "it looks promising".

I'll take my hat off Kidda when the ink has dried and he starts spending that £100m.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - What £100M is that?}

02 Jun 2016 17:14:09
Moshiri made an official statement in one of the programmes some time ago promising 100m for strengthening the squad this summer. Can't remember the exact words but it was along those lines, I think that's what he's referring too.

Koeman on his way to Liverpool and in talks with Everton! Breaking. c. o. y. b.

02 Jun 2016 13:43:35
His odds have shortened right up today aswell. He's now the shortest favourite since numpty left. I got a feeling this is definitly going to happen and I don't think it will be long at all until we all find out.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 13:49:21
. his agent has just come out and said he's in advanced talks. any update on this Ed?

Agree4 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I cannot do hour-by-hour updates.}

02 Jun 2016 14:51:03
They will be expecting you to go into the meeting next Ed and take notes!

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 15:12:21
Ed when you come out of the meeting read us yer notes ok?

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 15:17:53
So you think with the guy from Seville coming in and having all the power on transfers will hamper him wanting to be our manager Ed, a lot of manager's like to have all the say, hope it's not the case, think he'd be the right man for the job at this present time, enough experience in the premiership, and has shown he can rebuild a team.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Managers and coaches have to work within the bounds of teh job being offered. As I have explained, Everton want to move to a model that puts them well placed moving ahead. Whoever comes in has to accept that or they won't be selected.}

02 Jun 2016 16:24:07
Thought Koeman was on Holiday and why Koeman anyway, didn't we take 4 points off his side. Still prefer FDB or Pellegrini to be honest, besides should the Koeman deal not happen other prospective Managers now know we are willing to go high on wages.

Latest report from Everton Echo is Farhad Moshiri has secured the right to increase his stake in Everton

it was only a matter of time, you got to love the name of the company he is using to purchase us

Mr Moshiri holds his stake in Everton through an Isle of Man based company called Blue Heaven Holdings.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 11:55:25
I already luv this guy!

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 15:29:26
I will hold my hands up and say i was on of us to get on Kenwrights back but if i'm being honest the man is an everton legend for saving our club.

He has overseen our team rise from almost certain relegation and bankruptcies to a top 5-6 side Kenwright has more than earned the respect of every blue nose and deserves the freedom to stay on at our and his club in whatever role he wishes. That is the everton way we look after our own our ex players and staff. Name the main stand the Bill Kenwright stand.

Agree8 Disagree1

02 Jun 2016 15:45:19
Can moshiri hold shares for usmanov?

Thought that would be against FA rules about having a stake in more than one club. if ture both moshiri and usmanov will be band for life from owning any English club.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2016 21:16:08
Its all speculation but moshiri has supposedly a deal in place to buy kenwright woods and abercrombys shares which would give him 76% of the club its those xtra shares that russian media r saying usmanov could buy its those shares in a way that are being held usmanov would have to sell his shares in AFC first of course also those 3 can force moshiri to buy there shares as well if they chose to do so.

This is translated from sports es Monchi's destiny was Everton . The club made available to Monchi 150 million euros to strengthen the squad and gave him all the power that controlled for football training. The stable situation because Everton intends to carry out a major refurbishment of its staff and all its technical structure and has not yet covered the square coach. Catalan Robert Martinez left the bench and still has no spare despite the barrage of names (David Moyes, Nigel Pearson . ) who have come to the fore.

Can't be true if Pearson is in the mix.
