{Ed025's Note - i cant confirm or deny it adam...but twitter is gash mate..
I've often thought that "twitter" is a most appropriate description for some of the stuff that occurs in that medium - especially when an as-yet unsubstantiated story goes viral.

{Ed025's Note - i agree sid..
God I hope not the players the press keep linking us with are a view to how we are looked at by the national press we need a couple of big signings to change this view, footballers are not the brightest they believe the press

Ed is it true we r looking to sign Dutch trio de vrij, Martins Indi and leroy fer and England striker leroy fer and the bookies have us faviroute to sign steven caulker
Believable10
Unbelievable9
{Ed025's Note - martins indi is a possible adam, and caulker as an outside bet, but i cant see the other 2 mate..
02 Jul 2014 22:31:37
Is that why rooney was on the wing? Because his position was taken up by leroy fer?
Agree3

Caulker is 1/3 to join us, so seems a distinct possibility.
Agree0

Caulker I think is a right footer so who would he replace? Jags or Stones? or is Bobby looking at playing three at the back?

This the lad ajax and ac milan had on loan from barca?
Agree0
Disagree0
Yeah. Not a good shout flops everywhere he goes
Agree1

Just because he's from Barcelona doesn't always mean he would be a good buy. I'm sure he's a decent player but if he hasn't impressed during his previous loan spells unless he is on loan this time I wouldn't use a fair portion of our transfer budget on him.
Agree0

On loan I wouldn't mind so much but not a straight out buy. Too much of a risk

Believable3
Unbelievable6
{Ed025's Note - nothing on cerci bretto, i expect barry to be ours very shortly though, and dont fret over transfers yet mate as its only early days yet...slowly slowly catchee monkey..
02 Jul 2014 17:12:17
im getting annoyed now too mate but i'm not worried about either of the red sides, shaw for 30m haha and in my opinion, a spanish midfielder who is good but nothing special, liverpool bought a feel good signing in lambert, one season wonder lallana and a very average german midfielder, don't worry too much mate, remember spuds haven't signed anyone yet or the arse
Agree0
Disagree1
{Ed025's Note - lallana is decent swan, but no more in my eyes...stuart downing with a beard..
Yeh true but if we don't start were loseing out on some of targets will go
Agree0
Disagree0
{Ed025's Note - just remember the knock on effect bretto...once someone buys they usually sell as well, and that causes a merry go round which suits the likes of us mate..
That true like it just annoying seeing them get players and we can't a free deal done after play bin on loan
Agree0
Disagree0
{Ed025's Note - trust in bobby and bill mate..
02 Jul 2014 17:45:57
agreed ed, it annoys me when people say he's a bright kid, he's 26, you don't here us saying mirallas is an up and coming prospect, he's only had one decent season (decent 4 months really) and I wouldn't have him for 25m or even 15 and bretto, the shaw and lallana deals were done long before the world cup mate, barry needed time, if he doesn't sign within 2 weeks then start panicking, until then, keep your chin up
Agree1

But Swan why does GB "need time"? He knows the club, the players, the manager and the fans inside out. He has been offered a terrific deal to stay and yet each day that passes makes me question whether or not he is serious about us.
Agree0
Disagree0
This is GB's last real move and needs to weigh up is it in england or go abroad like the USA

Reports have been confirmed that Everton have been in talks with both América and Mexico forward Oribe Peralta and Columbian defender Mario Yepes, who currently plays for Atalanta.
Both clubs looking to move as swiftly as possible to involve the players as much as possible in pre-season training.

Mario Yepes? Is he supposed to be the long term heir to Distin or something?!
Agree0

Peralta is really good player, really good! I hope this is true!
Agree1
Disagree1
Sorry but can't believe either of these firstly Peralta has just signed for America for a record fee so I can't see him moving before he has even kicked a ball for his new team and Yepes is 38 I can't see Bobby looking at someone this age. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Yepes for defensive coach (Stubbs and Unswoth) replacement AB.

That would make more sense, swan. Singing him as a player would be unfathomably stupid.
