Hi Ed. Is it true were looking at Billy Sharp from Doncaster ? Iv heard he could be an alternative cheaper option for us as he has a buy out clause of £1.85 mil. I think he would fit us perfectly. Not shy of hard work, only 24, but its just question if he can make the step up. But for £1.85 id say hes well worth a risk. D {Ed001's Note - he has been asked about his willingness to join Everton, he wants to commute from Sheffield area, which should be agreeable. Not sure where the money would come from though, so I am not convinced it is any more than a case of being prepared in case someone leaves.}

Ive heard this rumour to im an everton fan from doncaster, when i carnt get up to dee the blues i go to the rovers and seen this guy loads off times he strong and scores for fun i think he would be an excellent signing for us,only problem is theres no contract clause what i can understand but john ryan(doncasters chairman)as said 3 mill will take this lad from them and at that price he would be a bargain cos my personal view hw is best striker outside the prem, hope this helps

Agree0 Disagree0

Spoke to my mate who lives in Barnsley and gets to watch Donny a few times a year,he said Sharp is special and well worth a punt, far too good for the championship

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a lot of respect for the lad but I really don't think he's good enough, he's not going to get us 15 plus goals a season sorry
Dal

Agree0 Disagree0

Weather or not u think he's going to get 15 goals or not I think we have got no option but to take gambles on these type of players. Cos we arnt going to be gettin much money its worked in the past with cahill jags an lescott etc so if we do get him let's hope he can do well . Huyton blue {Ed025's Note - you have a point huyton mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone who can get the ball in the net because as far as im concerned saha is finished {Ed025's Note - he has been woeful up to now..we definately need a new slotter..

Agree0 Disagree0

We have been sayin we need a striker all season an I no that but I don't no wats more important at the min a striker or a creative midfielder cos we arnt creating much neither. Huyton blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy Sharpe is now in talks with Southampton today so cross this one off too

Looks like we are going to miss out on Pienaar.
His agent has made Everton aware he is available and would prefer a move back to everton but everton haven't responded as usual and Sunderland are the first to make an approach.
WHY everton, we are soooo slow when it comes to transfer's, if we miss out on Pienaar i will be gutted, class player's are hard to find on the cheap in January and Pienaar for 5 million is worth it he is what we are missing and him and Baines would tear up sides like they did for 3/4 years.
Is it going to be the usual speculation all month then a loan player who we have never heard off on the last day ? Probably

Believable13 Unbelievable17

Leave him to rot somewhere, he did a job for us but has been full of injuries in the last 12 months. It will send a message out to all the other greedy b..tards out there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you got a short memory he held us to ransom we made him he used us thought the grass was greener in cockney land now he wants to come back are surprised we havnt gone in for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally disagree with u mate at the end of the day he s##t on us an who's to say he will get bk to the player he once was at us Mr pienaar we all told u it was all downhill after u left . Huyton blue

Agree0 Disagree0

He went for less than 3 million to spurs, since going there he has had injuries and hardly played, then spurs have a nerve to say they want 5 million at least, anyway stuff him I think if motes was given half that amount he would unearth another gem

Agree0 Disagree0

Let him go to sunderland, we got the best out of him and let's have it right he's no spring chicken he's touching 30

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly....dont want him....certainly wouldnt pay for him! Let him rot with the Spurs youth team

Agree0 Disagree0

How can anyone say it is god to bring back a player, who we sold for 2.5 million for 5 million and who has had injuries. Anyway we don't have the money to waste. We need to use whatever money we have wisely. COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

All fair points, he was good for us though so I'd wade in with an offer but when it comes to personal terms, lower wage than he was on before and no signing on fee. If he really wants to come back then he'll have to accept it, why should he get paid more or the same for being disloyal. Otherwise jog on to sunderland pal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we don’t re-sign Peanuts, he is a mercenary, he would have been an Everton legend and now he is a bench warmer. I hope the extra money was worth ruining everything he had at Everton

The Shadow

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we pay double for what we sold him for ? Pienaar very over-rated as far as I'm concerned, he flattered to deceive and rarely came up with an incisive final pass or goals for that matter. Let him rot with Sunderland give me someone who wants to wear the blue shirt!

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of crap you lot talk. Pienaar was our best player in terms of form and ability. He was out of contract last Summer and could have sat tight and left after the season but didn't, earning us the best part of £3M in the process. Everyone knows his true value exceeds what we received for him and also what Spuds now want for him. The player would have stayed had he been offered the same terms as Arteta. All he wanted was parity with him. The fickle fans among you who said good riddance to both Yakubu and Arteta as both had a chequered injury with us should note that neither player has missed a game since they joined their respective clubs. My concern would be how do we pay £5M, now that Villa and Sunderland have apparently lodged an interest. It's pretty well documented that both could outbid us easily.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id have him back...id drive to spurs to get him infact !

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd share the driving

Agree0 Disagree0

Did he ever think that he would get in over a fit bale, lennon or modric etc. he was good for us but he's not getting a game for a reason plus he was a touch injury prone!!

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems to me that we have going by above texts supporters who are happy with us having over hyped over payed at best average players,no we don't want peanuts or the yak back because my club deserves better,we are lucky at everton to have a manager with a great eye for talent and a owner who mite be poor compared to other owners but I wouldn't swap him for most of the other premier chairmen ,if and it's an if we did get 5million to spend I would trust moysie to spend on some gem he would unearth rather than someone who thought leaving everton for spurs was a step up....gujo

Agree0 Disagree0

Cannot agree enough with the above, spot on. Let him rot down at Spurs or try his luck elsewhere. We took him on load when he wasnt even getting a match in Germany gave him his chance and he repaid us by doing one to Spurs for money. Dont want him back

Agree0 Disagree0

For those of you who offered to drive to Spurs to bring Pienaar back. I hope you all comeback together and crash. {Ed025's Note - now thats not very nice..

Agree0 Disagree0

Bloody hell..........wats that all about...its only there opinion mate we all have one.........g

people think this araz abdullayev deal is fresh news when in fact this deal came about 4th july 2010 when everton where offered to sign him over a two year period pending on work permit,so its just finalising now in janury transfer window.i think we should we should be looking for proven players with good experience.also ed is there any truth in drenthe signing a contract? {Ed001's Note - I was told it was going to happen as soon as he was able, so I would think it is likely to be true.}

Believable8 Unbelievable4

He is an Everton player, just not been able to get his work permit, hense all the loaning out

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt he play for our youth team in a tournament in russia last yr? Sure he bagged a goal or 2

Agree0 Disagree0

An I wrong in saying this but isn't he already a blue? Or am I thinking of someone different? But I mean from a season or so ago?

hi everyone, i would just like to say that i was wrong about the steve ross takeover, however it was not because i lied, it just never got past preliminary inquireies unfortunately :/ so i would like to apologise to my fellow blues and ed for this :/

ricky

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Representatives from Steve ross said there was never any contact between themselves and Everton, so you lied again, well done lad.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think anyone believed you anyway, and this smacks of a wind up from the Reds**te. If it is and i an not saying it is, it is in pretty poor taste. TRUE BLUE

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but everything is kept under wraps at everton isn't it lets be honest, and no am not a reds**te :@ so annoyin, i just got it wrong and i appologised stop calling me such a horrible thing :/

Believable21 Unbelievable17

I hope its true, but i just dont believe it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please this be true

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be great come on everton do it

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so he is the only one in our team at the moment who is not afraid to have a dig or to run at and take on defenders {Ed025's Note - your right mate..

Agree1 Disagree0

He says he loving everton at the moment so dont see why it owont happen plus hes on fire for us so why not... {Ed025's Note - we need to do this soon...before the vultures start circling overhead..

I know this is going to sound like a wind up but it is 100% true. My dad lives next door to to Kenwrights daughter in a little village just outside Milton Keynes. During the festive period i was staying at my dads with my young family (we live in Stockholm Sweden now) and we went over for a drink. Spoke to her husband, who works closely with Bill and has been transformed in to a blue. I asked him if the reason we werent sold is because Bill did not want to sell, and sadly he turned to me and said Bill has absolutely no desire to sell... Kenwright is here for a while yet guys, no takeover is planned for anytime soon, just smoke screens to keep fans off his back. However, im very pleased with our holiday points haul, and i think if we can just get 2 attack minded players in, does not even need to be a striker as our defense is sound we only need a goal a game, we just need 2 players who can do what Ossie does, just better. Happy New Year Svenny

Believable8 Unbelievable19

Sorry mate, your goig to have to do better than that to convince me :)

It isnt just up to Kenwright, I am pretty sure Green and earl would be heavily involved as well, and what a lot of people forget is Kenwright is essentially Green's puppet, he owes Green money, so if anything, I would imagine Green would have a pretty big say in what happens to Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

So Bill's son in law, with whom he works ver closely was willing to betray him just like that. To some bloke who just got off a plane from Sweden?!? Nah, not having it, it smells like it just came out of the back end of a cow to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

George 61 years young.....
Ithink our Swedish friend should be on the red sh$$e board.
If this were true surely ,with media coverage as it is ,whoever had tried to buy us would have said to the press..."Billy wont sell"..

Agree0 Disagree0

So many sad kop fans in sweden norway etc everywhere but liverpool it seems .they should get there abba records out instead of annoying real blues fans on here ...tp

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember a post just like this during the last transfer window...

Agree0 Disagree0

What little village... I live in a little village just outside Milton Keynes and I know people... Yell me I will march against them!

Agree0 Disagree0

I am 100% blue, the village is called Whaddon. There is a huge white mansion which has been split in to 4 houses my dad lives in one she lives in the other. This is not a wind up. Anyone involved with any takover enquiry would be subject toa confidentiality agreement so we would never know the reasons for a deal not happening. It was a conversation over a beer, i have only lived in Sweden for 3 years im an expat. As stated in my first post i know it sounds like nonsense but it happened, so i can assure all of you there will be no takeover for at least 3 - 5 years. Please remember this in a couple of years time when Bill is still at the healm. ps my name is not really Svenny its a play on where i live now. I do know that the Miami Dolphins owner did make an approach to take us over which for one reason only was rejected, and that is that the current regime have no intention or desire to sell

Agree0 Disagree0

I know it... I am going to lurk (kidding I am not)

'Arry has put a price of 5 million for Pienaar, seemss that Martin O Neill has struck first with a bid.

Back to the drawing board me thinks

Believable15 Unbelievable0

You never know pienaar could refuse to sign for them if our hat is in the ring.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's just harry redsack for you, determined to mess up Everton whatever it takes. Hope he gets a good stretch for his tax evasion case.

Agree0 Disagree0

Waste of time.....why couldnt he just leave us alone....still glad it went wrong on Pienaar for walking away from us.

moyes enters the race for huddersfield hotshot jorden rhodes ...as long as we can pay the fee in instalments a deal could be struck...also strong intrest in man utd darron gibson.....does that mean rodwell would leave or will moyse stick to the five man midfield ,i say that coz the boy rhodes has not played the loan frontman role.........g {Ed025's Note - rhodes would be a good buy in my opinion, but gibson is a poor player, and would not improve the team..

Believable9 Unbelievable9

Can see Gibson leaving UTD this window after this spat over boxing day with Rooney and Evans...but Felli, Rodders and Jonny are all better defensive midfielders even Phil Neville is.
SpekeBlue {Ed025's Note - gibson is not good enough for us..he is average at best..

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think he is of Premier League standard..good championship player at best! We shouldnt even contemplate buying a midfielder we have a good midfield...striker is priority then maybe fullback cover for Baines
SpekeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont have a good midfield, we have good defensive midfielders, but absolutely no creativity apart from Drenthe in the midfield, which is as big as a problem as our striker problem and both need to be addressed

Agree0 Disagree0

We still create chances...just nobody to finish them! Drenthe..rodwell..fellaini..coleman
Thats a good midfield..strength in the middle with pace down the flanks! Add defoe we'd be flying!
SpekeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Gibbo a bit more attack minded than are ther midfielders and a wicked shot i no the manks dont like him but they hated tim howard could be a bit of shrewd BIZZNESS............g

Agree0 Disagree0

No no no no no no

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone who can add a bit of creativity to the midfield we dont create enough chances {Ed025's Note - thats right pal...van persie would struggle to score for us!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Where does this illusion that Gibson has a good shot come from?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think his shooting his strong point and he drives forword , i reckon he would score 8 to 10 league goals.take over from cahill,i would back my judgment on gibbson even though it looks like am in the minority...................g

Agree0 Disagree0

Check out you tube scored some screamers

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't it be worth buying two strikers, a combination of maynard, rhodes or sharp. it would probably cost in the region of 6m for two. one could be an instant hit and double their value as we have seen with some of our other lower league signings. Provide some money now kenwright and moysie please take the gamble.

Everton to Snap up Young Sydney FC Attacking Midfielder Terry Antonis.

Moyes has been eying him off since Antonis was 14. Turned 18 in November.

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Everton did sign him to a 5yr deal a year or two ago but was rejected by FIFA. So hopefully now that he is 18 we can get him.

Been rather impressed by the lad in the A-League this season, has really took a step forward in his career. Also, Cahill is his idol and his mentor and he is an Everton fan.

Although, I have seen in the Aussie media that he intends to play out his contract with Sydney FC, but then hopefully we can get him on a nominal fee or for free. There is big hype on this lad to be something special

Av heard good things about this boy ,think a c millan were interested but your right cahill is his idol....g
