geoffjohno - managers like Martinez, Koeman, etc., must love us - even if they fail, they get a hefty payoff, so Allardyce is in a win-win situation financially speaking whether he’s here for just this season or another one or two.

Blimey what a lot of fickle posters we have on here, this is probably going to be one of Evertons biggest years ever, we have an owner who has put his money into the Club invested heavily and we are going to get a new Stadium, we will be staying in the Premiership thanks to Big Sam, and I say well done to Everton for getting him for us, as I said in one of the posts below this is a total no brainer, we have in place a manager who knows this league inside out having been there and done it, but now he will get sufficient funds in the January transfer window something he not had much of in the past and for once in his life he will have a wealthy owner behind him, may I add something else we will have a very vocal guy on the touchline who will give it his all, not like Koeman so let's all settle down and give the big fella a rousing support in his first game tonight, and c'mon it could have been far worse we could have been landed with someone with no experience in this league.

Why worry about the Finances, we have spent more in the recent windows than historically, we are financially more sound and have more revenue coming in. In previous years the prize money was used more for operating costs
What we need to think about now is what is happening on the field and improving the results, and right now i would take results and points over pretty football if i had to choose.
Am i happy with Sam, not especially, but 18 months isn't too bad if we survive and move up the table, 10th last year earned about £120 million if we push up there then i'll be happy, we can then reassess next summer when Sam walks away.

Don't forget the £80 million interest free loan to clear our debts Pauly. To me that's a lot of money.

Don't worry folks as I said at the beginning some VERY FICKLE FOLK, some will always gripe, i think they would moan even if we won something under Big Sam, happy days for me, not my 1st bet but I will back him all the way.

So you guys are happy with FM using Jim White as his mouth piece rather than official club channels? This whole process has made as look so amateurish it’s laughable.

29 Nov 2017 18:51:30
Get off its on the Official Everton site, why not use White and his big mouth, not so long ago posters were always moaning we were never mentioned, can't win eh, at least everybody knows now lol.

It was out with White as an official statement from FM a few hours before it was officially announced by the club. That’s just a joke. The guy just goes rogue.

Not that it really matters but when I was watching Sky earlier this afternoon they first stated it was released on the Everton twitter account and that’s where they heard it first.

Sour grapes mate.

29 Nov 2017 22:47:19
Sour about what? He announced it on his twitter feed like an hour before it was announced by the club. That’s a fact. I’m not saying FM is a bad guy I just think it makes the club look bad and not like everyone is on the same page when he just decides to do his own thing.

why is it always about money spent?
would we be in a position of spending £100 million plus
be in early stages of getting a new state of art stadium
raising our profile across europe
building for the future

the guy has done more for EVERTON FC in 12 months, than BK et al done for 10 yrs

GIVE HIM A FRIGGING CHANCE
is it your bank he is taking money from? . No

I BELIEVE IN HIM, HE WILL TAKE US FAR MORE FORWARD THAN EVER BEFORE.

Well if true what does it really matter? So the guy was excited wanted to get it out to people be it via the club twitter or other media sources!
Some moan with little info and late updates and then when it is put out there people still moan!
On to other things. amazing result tonight, don’t see what all the panic was about 🤷🏻‍♂️.

That will do for me mate, something needed to be done, at the end of the day he's been there and done that, let's all get behind him, starting with tonight.

Let's see what happens now he in. Not who I'd of gone for but he's here now. We can all stop moaning bout Schneiderlin now, because the balls probably going to be hoofed over his head.

Would rather Dunc get dropped to the u23s. Love him but as someone has said before we need this clear out of ex players given certain roles in the club.

Looks like a one and a half year contract. That's according to Jim White who has had it from Moshiri apparently. Now it's all done let's get behind the team!
