Just heard a reds**te on talksport saying Liverpool should go for David Moyes - so they don't all talk s**te then! - Dream on, why on earth would he take a step down and leave the best team on Merseyside. Looking down on the r/s.

Believable25 Unbelievable8

Haha, look David Moyes is one of, if not the best British manager around at the minute in my opinion. I'm a Liverpool fan, as good as he is, why would we want him? He's an Everton man, why would we want an Everton man? And yeah you guys had a great season but when a massive achievement for you is to finish above us your club have wrong targets. And our season was a disaster yet we actually won a trophy, still did the double (triple if you count the FA cup semi) and that was a bad season. Yet we still finished just 4 points behind you. Obviously Everton is a club with ambition....
KR {Ed025's Note - the thing is KR, you think you are this massive club, who should qualify for champions league as a right!, fact is, you finished nearer wolves than man city, you also spent over 100m on absolute garbage, when we spent very little, but on quality, 3rd rate managers are turning you down, and your club is a shambles, so i dont think you are in a position to gloat...do you?..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ed. I believe it was the RS who coined the phrase 'Mickey Mouse Cup', when we got the old league cup final in 84, and now they are calling it a trophy; oh how the mighty have fallen. Got to to give it to them though for being cockey fxckers....or should I say, cockney fxckers. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed025's Note - they do talk some rubbish wavo..and the cheek of them slating us!, after the season they had..it beggars belief..

Agree0 Disagree0

The RS are the third highest spenders over the last decade and currently have the third highest wage bill. Yet look where they are. The biggest joke is that the rot started with Rafa. He destroyed the spine of a CL team and left the squad in tatters for Woy. Then the fans turned on Woy who was doing his best to salvage a little dignity. Along comes old relic Dogleash and spends over £100m on crap and takes them even further down.

FSG must be pulling their hair out at the antics of fans. Calling to bring Rafa back, the man that screwed them over to begin with is a joke.

Haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Who did they beat to win the league cup? cardiff! (on pens) Oh yeah they beat Chelsea in the quarters when they were in turmoil under AVB - and they scraped a lucky narrow win over man city in the semi when city were concentrating on the league anyway - so they beat man city basically to win a cup - the one good thing was though it kept kenny in the job longer than he would have been so it was worth it! :)
we're on the up - and they're in turmoil - big wages and biggish debt and no prospect of champions league - not when they've got to get past man city man utd arsenal and chelsea (not too mention spurs / newcastle / everton) to get it - when those four clubs are shopping for the top international stars - and liverpool cannot compete to get the best signings - so their economic model looks bust to me!
Their owners could throw another 100 mil at players and still be behind manu, city and chelsea in spending
they could do a leeds I reckon!
clozem

Agree0 Disagree0

What I find funny is that as an Everton fan, I tend to only stay on the everton page, but then you've got kopsh*te like this stirring up sh*t just for the sake of it...

Agree0 Disagree0

KR may I ask why you are on this site, closet blue?
Joe EFC

Agree1 Disagree0

Actually the thing is ed, I don't believe we have the right to bi in the champions league year in year out unlike some other reds fans and that actually pisses me off when i read "back where we belong" etc. You have to earn it and last year we didnt deserve to. But to say that Everton are the 'Biggest team on merseyside' is ridiculous. Because your goal is to finish above us, which you have achieved this season so congrats. But in my opinion that shouldn't be your target and at the end of the day, when was the last time you won a trophy?
KR

Agree1 Disagree1

Only Kopites are calling Everton getting above them a massive achievement, not the other way around. I'm hoping to push on, not just do the same again next year I want to be more than 4 points above them next year.

Young Rocky, Walton Vale

Agree1 Disagree0

Well said Rocky, none of us are saying its a massive achievement, we're just happy that we finished above them. Its only the kopites who are saying its a massive achievement

Diame deal is heating up. Arsenal and Spurs are reported to be interested along with Everton, but he has hinted that he wants to go to a club that will allow him to progess as a footballer (i.e. us).

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Diame will join betis, he's in seville to sign with them.

Agree1 Disagree0

He nearly signed with the RS, in fact, if they hadn't SACKED Queen Kenny, he would've signed with them. Which is good because I think he is a decent player, way better than any trash they have i.e. Henderson.

I don't think he will sign for us, plenty of clubs chasing him, offering more cash and Europe etc.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hasn't he said he wants tot remain in the Premier League? In the interview where he said he nearly joined Liverpool? Premier League suits his style right down to the ground, he is a very strong, physical lad.

Would love to see him at Everton, signing him would allow us to push Fellaini up behind Jelavic, with Pienaar, and possibly Naismith (Donovan in January), and leaves us with Diame, Gibson and Rodwell to compete for those 2 defensive mid spots.

But don't think we will sign him. Personally, all this talk about all these targets are rubbish, WE DONT HAVE MONEY, our number 1 priority is Pienaar, so I'd imagine that is all the business we would do, shift out Yobo and maybe Anichebe, and bring Pienaar in, and if we are lucky bring in a loan or a freebie. {Ed025's Note - good realistic post..

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate, we DO have enough money to get someone on a free (I believe Diame is).

We paid 16m for Felli. 11m for Yak. Were not that poor.

Agree1 Disagree1

We obviously have some money, all these rumours wouldn't be coming out of we had nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

29 May 2012 22:29:49
Worth noting that Marouane Fellaini has a £26m release clause in his Everton contract. So if we do sell that's the least he will go. Just saying

Believable16 Unbelievable12

A release clause is not a minimum purchase value. It's only worth the figure if another team activates it, and the player agrees to move. Many players have high release clauses. They are still often sold for substantially less.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i know what your saying mate but what i mean is David Moyes obviously was happy for the 26 million release clause to be in his contract so that says to me that Moyes wont accept anything untill somebody meets the 26 million

Agree1 Disagree1

Just had to point out the amount of bargains on offer in truth would love to have Fernandes Owen hoilett in!,,,,we would be sorted with them and no money spent,,,

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and the way the yak played I would get him back for the reported 1m

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant believe u have naismith on bench and owen in startin 11 . plus were is gibson 1 of our best players

Agree1 Disagree0

Barkley in goal then ......get real

Agree0 Disagree0

29 May 2012 22:23:58
i have no idea who we are getting. but if you had to pick naismith or Siguradson who would it be?
Siguradson because he is younger and has potential or
naismith because him and jellyfish have chemistry and he has more experience
zac {Ed025's Note - naismith for me..

Believable10 Unbelievable7

I would go for this Siguradson kid he looks like he will be a class act, he has pace and strength. Think he would work well with jelavic. Would love to see them both come tho.
Stevie_A

Agree1 Disagree0

I think we should bye both naithsmith on the right coleman not ready yet or put right back siggy and jelly up top?

Agree0 Disagree0

If it was either/or I'd definitely go with Siguradson. Reckon he'd go on to be seen as one of Moyes' great signings.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 May 2012 22:14:21
I would love us to get Hoilett {Ed025's Note - so would i...but it seems unlikely..

I think we all know Hernandez plus 15mil for Baines isn't going to happen and if it did we would accept it straight away Jelavic and Hernandez up front would be deadly!

Believable12 Unbelievable13

Scott Dann and Thierry Henry to Everton in the summer {Ed025's Note - hmmm

Believable5 Unbelievable31

Henry sed he would not play for any other team other than arsenal!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 May 2012 21:31:32
Why is everyone starting to doubt the Naismith rumour? you do all know that the transfer window only officially opens on Friday, which is probably why it hasn't been released yet...
Toffeepidge

Believable6 Unbelievable15

Good point mate dan1

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully the deal already complete with Rangers ban lifted

Agree0 Disagree0

Wedoubt it cuz we have seen it all before with everton............!

Agree1 Disagree0

The transfer window opens 1st July Not June which is what I'm aware of u thought the summer window was open for 2 months closing 1st September

Agree1 Disagree1

Transfer window formally opens on July 1st, but transfers can take place as soon as the season ends between clubs in the same association. ie we could buy Hoillet now, but not Naismith.

Agree0 Disagree1

But we could actually sign Naismith now, you can actually sign players all year round they can only officially join a team or move between one team and another during the transfer windows. Eg Podolski with Arsenal, the deal is done but he wont be an Arsenal player officially until 1st of July. This is why im pretty sure we are not getting Pienaar

Michael Owen - Free

Jonas Olsson - 2.5/3m

Believable9 Unbelievable15

Where are you getting nearly 19million from? Kenwright barely gives us 10!

Agree0 Disagree0

I said they are our top ten transfer Targerts doesn't mean we will sign them all

Agree0 Disagree0

Pienaar, hope so. Donovan, probably in Jan. Naismith, maybe. The rest, no thanks.

talks of baines to man united 15 million plus hernandez

Believable8 Unbelievable34

Im not being funny here but i would absolutely snap united's hands off for this deal, we could replace baines with 5mill (cissohko), give 6 mill to bank and use the rest for pienaar. add naismith to the equation and maybe a free agent and i'd be well happy!

Agree1 Disagree0

Please dont talk sh*t! cant replace the best left back in the world special for 15mill! be more like 30mill and rooney... then ill JUST ABOUT consider that

joe {Ed025's Note - i want joe as our transfer negotiator..

Agree0 Disagree0

Under 25mill, baines is going nowhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd make the team then
howard
neville
jagz
heits
baines
naismith
fellaini
gibbo
peanuts
hernandez
jellyfish
=put the bong down and stop believing these kopite a**eholes

Agree0 Disagree0

What a loads of rubbish, Real linked with Hernandez for talk of £25m so they ain't gonna swap him without wanting cash of us which we ain't got. Baines is and I REPEAT not going anywhere especially for £15m.

Agree0 Disagree0

Idc wat u say, at the end of the day id rather a high class striker than a world class lb, id drive baines there for that deal

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll pay for Leighton's taxi! Are you lot mad?! Baines for Hernandez is a good deal without the £15m never mind with it!

Agree1 Disagree0

Im an everton fan but to call Baines the best left back in the world is just stupid. He is not irreplaceable he's a left back ffs there ten a dozen we wont fall apart without him.

Agree0 Disagree0

R u messin? just Hernandez for baines hahah! if hernandez was world class, would united be gettin rid of him!! no dont think so. weve already got a world class striker in jelly, if ya sell baines whos gona assist him some no mark whos not proven in the prem...... dont talk pony!

ps baines is the best left back in the world. worth ATLEAST 35mil

joe

Agree0 Disagree0

Gotta think if they up it to >20m we'd have to accept but they aren't gonna offer Hernandez in any sort of exchange, that's just daft talk. They may throw one of their younger players in or some dross like Anderson but that's about it.

A judge has deemed rangers transfer ban as unlawful. I have faith in the eds but could this upset the Naismith transfer?

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Doesnt this mean he could be more likely to go since they have the chance to be able to replace him..?

Agree1 Disagree0

The Naismith rumour is apparently a hoax

Agree0 Disagree0

He will join everton, keep the faith, rangers need the cash to keep going.

Hi ed thought Naismith was going to be announced early this week? {Ed025's Note - still waiting mate..

Believable5 Unbelievable7

It will probably be announced on Friday, when the transfer window officially opens right? would make more sense anyway
Toffeepidge

Agree0 Disagree0

The transfer window doesn't officially open to the 1st of July and close on the 1st September

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha its not going to happen get it into your heads please, and no im not a kopite im a season ticket holder of 14 years and my dad has been one for many more {Ed025's Note - we will wait and see..

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yes it is going to happen, it already has, but rangers situation means that the administrators have for lots of reasons to tip toe around all the issues. PS i av been going to goodison since we beat fullham in 1963 to win the championship. {Ed025's Note - well done mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

To the dope who keeps writing about the window not opening till july-in England, the transfer window formally opens on 1 July, transfers between clubs in the same association can take place as soon as the last competitive fixtures for the season have been played. However, many transfers will not be completed until 1 July because many players' contracts expire on 30 June.

ok!

This is the team I'd love to see next season:

-----------------Howard-----------------
Hibbert---Jagielka---Distin---Baines
------------Gibson----Fellani----------
Donovan-------Naismith-----Pienaar
-------------------Jelavic----------------

Ins:
Landon Donovan – Loan or Buy (not sure how much)
Steven Pienaar - £4 million
Steven Naismith - £2 million

To be honest, I would love to see Clint Dempsey play for Everton, but he has said he wants Champions League football, which basically rules us out, and Naismith is a cheaper and younger alternative, who is just as good.

Also, I already posted this, but haven’t gotten any good suggestions (no offence). Maybe “ring” wasn’t the right word. I’m looking for a name that has the same “power” behind it and is catchy, like “Angerfist”. Maybe ye can look up some of his songs and you’ll see what I’m trying to get.

Everton are hot favourites to sign bergmann SIGUROARSON with the striker coming out and saying he would like to play in the premier league and his main 2 options are Everton and wolves and we all know which clubs plays in the premier league and which one now doesn't

Believable15 Unbelievable9

Don't where he said he d like to play in PL (if youve got a link, that would be nice ;) ), but he's also said last week that he would love to play under Solbakken, wich is not really a good sign.

Agree0 Disagree0

Check sky sports mate its on there and reading are also interested..

Agree1 Disagree0

I've checked, and his agent is talking about a move to England, not only to the Premier League.

David Moyes is starting early in the transfer window. He is currently in talks with Celtic as he wants Gary Hooper to partner Nikica Jelavic up front. Also on the Moyes shopping list are free agent Ivan Klasnic and relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Roger Johnson.

Believable9 Unbelievable19

Rumours are that Roger Johnson is a p*ss head! No thanks!

Klasnic would be a good addition to the squad on a freebie!

Everton have bidden for bjorn bergmann sigurdarson for around 3million , they have also trying to get Landon Donovan back on loan for the season or get him in January when the american league has finished. Also baines isn't going to man utd ,source: NSNO. One more thing Everton should go for Grant Holt , he can score goals you could probably get him for around 2.5-3million range. Massive everton fan baby!!!!!!!!!

Everton offering Victor Anichebe and Seamus Coleman for Blackburn's Junior Hoilett and Yakubu in a straight double swap deal, would benefit both clubs .. COYB

Believable5 Unbelievable18

Worst rumour I've heard

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously we're do you come up with this s**t

Agree1 Disagree0

I wouldn't take yak back even if they paid us... And seams is a starlet, granted he had a bad season but that's probs due to injury. Tbh hope this isn't true.

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be a great deal if it were true. Mani

Agree1 Disagree0

It makes perfect sense, except Moyes spent about a year trying to get shut of Yakubu, then sold him for a paltry sum of about £1.5m.

So why try to bring him back?

Agree1 Disagree0

Yakubu ?are u ok mate ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see Victor or Seamus agreeing to go - would probably have to take pay cuts as well as dropping a division.

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha, Hoilett isnt a Blackburn player anymore, his contract ran out. And I don't think Moyes wants Yak back. Haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take Hoilett anytime but see no reason for Yak, unfortunately he'd just be a drain on finances/wages. He had his time and it's time to move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

How about Coleman and Vic for Hoilett and Pedersen? I'd take that in a heart beat {Ed025's Note - me too..

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually does make sense in a strange way. Toilet... er, Hoilett... is out of contract but he'd still cost a fortune coz of his age wouldn't he? Really like Coleman though so hope it doesn't happen. Just give em Anichebe and take someone like MGP.

Terrible rumour. Keep up the BS man

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter s**te. they're not worth half what hes worth. think about what you type. ie SNODRASS FOR KAKA. it just sounds stupid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think so what u think ed {Ed025's Note - im with you mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

David Moyes does NOT do swap deals.
Colin The Chef

Agree0 Disagree0

I think they have more pressing issues, mainly they are looking for a striker, besides, Fellaini wouldn't leave for anyone who isn't in the CL.

I am a bit worried about Chelsea though, think they are looking for a DM, and they have been linked in the past, and aren't afraid to splash the cash, and of course signed his mate Hazard recently.

rodriguez is going to southampton for 7 million

Believable15 Unbelievable4

So overpriced. Glad we are not getting him if the price is true

Agree1 Disagree0

Let him 7mil far to much for unproven championship player we'd get something better on th continent for the same price or even less

Agree1 Disagree0

7mil for a Championship is too much of a gamble for me, crazy prices for lower league players nowadays, I mean a League 1 striker going for 8mil? A Championship striker in his last year of the contract going for 7mil, ridiculous prices.

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt want him anyway

Agree1 Disagree1

29 May 2012 11:45:28
Leeds utd are the next club to be taken over! Well there's talks going on anyway! Why not us! It's crazy!

Believable13 Unbelievable2

That is because they are for sale and for a reasonable price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoever is taking them over probably isn't that rich anymore, seeing as they're buying leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

I know that we all want us to be able to compete in the transfer market and therefore the league, but there are plenty of examples where buy-outs/takeovers have been catastrophic for clubs. Just because someone is (looking at) taking over Leeds it doesn't mean that we have to erupt into choruses of "Sack The Board".

Agree1 Disagree0

It's also because as fans, we are one of the poorest in the country. Liverpool wouldn't be much better if it wasn't for out of town fans. So our turnover isn't great compared to the price the club would probably fetch. Buying someone like Leeds is a lot cheaper and they have a pretty strong fan base still despite being fairly down the footballing ladder these days.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really true, coz there is a huge everton fan base in Qatar and UAE, we've got loads of fans, just no huge endorsement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you want to buy championship side Leeds when you could buy top premier league side Everton

Agree0 Disagree0

Because like any business you buy cheap and sell high.

Buy Leeds cheap, get them in the Premier League, sell them for a huge profit.

With Everton, you pay over the odds to buy them, spend hundreds of millions on a new stadium and then, if you're lucky, you sell for a profit.

Although they are in a lower league Leeds are a massive club with lots of history big fan base, were pulling gates of 30,000 in league one and unlike most teams make a tidy profit. They will be up there next year and I think they will thrive when back in the big time. Oh and there a one club city too!!

yak available for 1 million (ssn). would we want him back?

Believable3 Unbelievable22

Why not? We've brought back worse

Agree0 Disagree0

U cannot be serious .

Agree0 Disagree1

As a bench warmer yes

Agree0 Disagree0

It is a good deal for any team, but Yak and Moyes don't get along, and therefore there is absolutely no chance of him coming back, Moyes isn't exactly a forgiving type. {Ed024's Note - No way would we have yak back, it took us long enough to get rid of him!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lazy, greedy $$$, was not motivated or wanted to be with us had his chance(s) and didnt take them them...good riddance so a no from me

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly !
Fat and lazy
Let's move on

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a good player strong can score goal would link up good with jellyfish {Ed025's Note - not worth my time discussing..

Agree0 Disagree0

Calling Yak fat and lazy is ridiculous. The guy is class and Moyes ruined his chances at Everton by refusing to play him. He's just knocked 18 goals in for Blackburn, which accounts for about 33% of all goals they scored.

Fair enough that Moyes hates him, but calling Yak s**t is idiotic. The Yak scores goals when given playing time.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yak is a good player but had his chance to prove himself for our beloved club and did sweet FA while he was here.

No thanks !

Kerry Dixon interview on talksport,Chelsea have made a offer of 12 million plus Danny sturridge for fellaine, plus 10million offer for wallcott

Believable4 Unbelievable24

If Eden Hazard is worth 32million then Feilani is worth at least 40. Proven in premier league. Hazard mouth and ego is bigger than his talent

Agree0 Disagree0

Total bull!!!
Proper Everton fan ain't you that you can't even spell Fellaini red s***e

Tree Blue

I dont know why we dont follow the way clubs abroad do it?? We dont have to sell Felli, we dont want to sell Felli and Felli for now is happy with us.......if these clubs want to come and buy him we should just stick £50M down as the initial price, take it from there. He is proven Prem and Chelski just paid £32M for a 21 yr from the French league. State our intent for once. To be fair we did it with that player that went to City, name escapes me....that was a lovely profit from £5.5M. Lets try and keep these players. Chelski and the rest can f**K off

WOLVES are set to fight it out with Everton to sign the Iceland striker Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson, who is rated at £3m by Lillestrom.I think we are advantage because Wolves will play in Championship next season.

For a second I thought this was a EVERTON site,my mistake but while were here....Steve Simonsen missed a penalty the other day he used to play for us as well just thought I'd mention it since other people keep mentioning old crocked crap players such as Saha and Yak.

Speedy mcgeady being linked with us in the Russian press, they say he's got two years left on his contract, initial 12month loan with a fixed fee built in,this will kick in after he's played 20games,no mention of the price,it also says mcgeady has not asked to leave but will not sigh a new contract,am a bit concerned because he's a left sided midfielder so were will this leave pienar

Arshavin on a 12 month loan, let's hope moyse can get a tune out of him, expect a influx of Russian based players,on a downside chelsea want felly to link up with hazard and will try to trade players with sturridge plush cash on the table moyse has put a 28million price tag on his head,it's likely he will take 25mill,moyes will then try for defour who can't settle in Portugal ,and zaha at 8 mill, and 6 mill, thanks Desmond the shareholder

Believable5 Unbelievable17

Wont be able to afford his wages

Agree0 Disagree0

We had one russian billy enough said .

Agree1 Disagree0

Cant imagine Arshavin would want to return to the PL after his experience with Arsenal, will probably stay in Russia.

I am gutted to see Hazard go to Chelsea, Moyes scouted him before he became the world class talent he is today, and we just couldn't raise the funds to sign him.

Agree1 Disagree1

I Fellaini goes we will have to start rebuilding our team from scratch

Agree1 Disagree1

Arshavin - just ask the Arsenal supporters what they thinhk about him and the will say he is a luxury player and not the type of player to role up his sleaves when the chips are down.

Agree1 Disagree0

£25M?!!!! Thats is riduculous!! he bossed midfields where ever he goes! I would say to them £55M to even get us to the table......dont want their s**te off loads....plus a a few quid, pathetic.
