So by Monday we look like Keane, Sandro and Cuco will be joining Pickford, Klaasen and Olyekuru. 6 players by the opening of the transfer window.

Add that Barkley might be signing and more additions very likely signing soon as well.

We've been dreaming of this day to come. However, if we do get champions league football next season what might 2018 in the transfer window look like!

Wet your pants time!

Echo are reporting that malaga are still dragging there heels over Sandro they not happy with the release clause and making Sandro and us wait till his contract expires on 3rd July and they have no choice but to sign all appropriate documents for his sale so his arrival as an Everton player will be Monday at the earliest but knowing but the way malaga has acted in this I think they will try to put this of for as long as possible.

I feel that's the press stirring things again, we have met the release clause it's not about a contract expiring, the delay is more likely just down to the u21's tournament and not wanting distractions which I do respect, it's a lot better than certain others who discuss their future every international break!

Even if it 3rd July, he wouldn't be joining the squad then anyway (we would be giving him a break after the tournament) .

Hi lads this story emanated from a website called managing Madrid. I think it's a fan website but not to sure it said at 11.40 last night they posted the rumour of Sandro going to Madrid and according to the echo today head man at real said it was news to him guess we find out in a few days if it's true and he goes to real then we have the best men in charge in koeman and Walsh to find an alternative which I am sure we have.

i would put less stock in the rumour that sandro will sign for madrid and more in barkley's alleged cut price 25 mill deal to spurs which is doing the rounds this morn. especially after he was reportedly seen wearing blue yesterday (sandro) and barkley has been completely invisible other than the rumour he wanted to leave. their is nothing in the rumour imo. of sandro but after 24 hrs of almost relaxing on ross it seems it could well have been a ploy after all. can't someone close to barks tell him he cannot futher his england career sitting on the bench or being played out of position and why does anyone know why spurs are hopeful of getting him for a cheap price has he been told its too late by efc, fingers crossed he signs but tbh not sure what's going on with this.

Floats agree with u on real I think the roumour around Barkley and 25 mil to spurs think is just paper talk can't see us selling for for that don't forget we are hard to negotiate with just as much as levy I would like Barkley to sign but just don't see it happening as there's to much time that's past for that to happen if Barkley is going to leave how about us trying to use him in a straight swap for sigurdsson not that I think Barkley would be up for that. The one thing we can't do is allow Barkley to run his contract down and leave on free next year if that's his intention then I would tell him that he will spend most of the season on the bench at best or used just in Europa league and cup competions can't seeing wanting that in a world cup year.

after researching this cut-price barks story i am begining to think that maybe barks agent isn't as keen to talk as he once was, it stinks of of a team trying to tell the player he is wanted and trying to unsettle him it could be that spurs intend to let the clock run down failing to sign him at the close of the window in hopes of getting him for free next year i can't even see where he would play in that spurs team tbh unless he is a squad player which shows how silly some football players are. on the one hand he wants to revive his england career but on the other he is prepared to play second fiddle to the guy he hopes to oust from the international team ross you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realise your plan is going to fail the only way you can get back the international games is by playing every week for a team that values you that wants you not a team that is looking at other options before finally settling on you.

Spurs best paid player, is on their maximum 100,000 per week contract, plus any hope of going to the world cup rest on game time, so perhaps ross is haveing a rethink, but givern his disrespect, and his very patchy form, i would now be happy to say goodbey, provided we get a reasonable fee.

I agree JCW100 I wouldn't say disrespectful though. I think he's made an absolute blunder with not signing his contract before the ink even dried. I think the boy has cheek. What with seemingly being in Koeman's permanent bad books and asking for more money.

My understanding is that on 1st July Everton we have a press conference with Pickford, Klassen, the boy Henry along with Michael Keane and cuca Martina
Both being announced and should all be present. They were hopefully Sandro would be present but with the U 21
Final the night before he will be given a few days after but will then be announced as Real Madrid left it to late.
Following this Gylfi will sign by middle of July leaving our hunt for another striker and centre midfielder on permanent deals and a winger type player on a loan deal.
James McCarthy is going and good chance now ross is staying signing a 4 year deal.

Stublue, I hope your correct with that post.

Just one thing, after all them names are signed we are still looking for a centre midfielder? Really?

After signing Klaassen, Glyfi and Barkley signing a new contract. Maybe its defensive midfielders your talking about. Where we have Schneiderlin, Gana, Davies, Barry almost certain staying. Along with Barkley and Klaassen who can play there. Not to mention McCarthy and Besic who may remain also.

Leaving McCarthy and Besic out that leaves 7 players for 4 positions. I know with Europe we will need them but if McCarthy or Besic stays that means we could have 8 or 9 for two positions and we might be buying another?

I'm not saying your wrong just surprised. I'm obviously happy with what the club are doing and they know best. I'm just observing.

In fairness NBTB I wouldn't mind us looking for another strong, commanding centre mid.
RB doesn't have a true position and but can play there.
Klaasen can play there but plays more off the striker, and is best utilised Theresa he scores a hatful of goals.
Gaz baz, for all his tactical nouse, for me is a spent force, his legs are gone and I can't see him playing that much. maybe to just close out games.
I think Jimmy mac will go, the Celtic fan ed on here has said he wants to go north of the border and would be a perfect replacement for Scott Brown. besic will be sold i think, to many injuries.
This leaves us gana, Davies and Morgan as true centre mids, so personally i wouldn't mind a new recruit especially with Europa league as well as the prem and the cups.

Maybe we ain't buying any strikers and are just going to play a 3, 7 formation.

28 Jun 2017 13:04:46
Maybe Evertonfanatic. I know Barry is more than likely on his last season but with Europe he will no doubt be used.

I guess it all depends on what formation is used. If 2 centre midfielders are used then we seem covered. Might be three used then maybe need another.

I know Klaassen and Barkley are not proper centre midfielders but the point was we wouldn't be stuck. If it so happens Davies, Schneiderlin, Gana or Barry get injured then in that occasion Barkley or Klaassen could be used.

Attacking midfielder will be one maybe two positions. If we sign Gylfi that means 3 for 2 at most positions.

We are not light in attacking or centre midfield positions provided Barkley or Gylfi signs. But I guess another would do no harm.

I'd be happier with a centre back, right back or even left back before another defensive or attacking midfielder. I'd sooner have a striker too.

I'm obviously not in the know or employed by a premiership club. Let the professionals at it. I'm just having the banter.

Nice one Smit666. If McCarthy and Besic stay we could just go with a formation of 10 midfiedlers! Lookman and Kev on the wings then 7 centre midfielders.

Dont think Tom D is best used as a def midfielder.
In reality only Gana, Morgan and Barry are true def centre mids.

As said previously, can see Jimmy Mc going, possibly Besic as well.

Ross is not a def mid as he does not have the engine, discipline or tackling ability. And i don't think Davy K kas been bought for that role.
So a fourth centre mid player sounds sensible to me.

28 Jun 2017 15:32:06
Fair enough. We have only 1 properly recognised right back and 1 left back with little or no cover. 3 centre backs with two in their mid 30's. When Lukaku leaves we will be left with no properly recognised unless one is signed.

Imho I'd rather get bodies for these positions before I'd add another midfielder.

But what do I know. As always Walsh and Koeman know best and I never had anything but praise for them so far. Can't see that changing for some time yet either.

28 Jun 2017 17:55:42
think we're getting Martina as cover for right back, Kenny will get game time too.
You are right in that we do need a left back,2 centre backs ( Keane yes and maybe this Uruguayan kid were looking into ) and a couple of strikers.
Obviously were getting sandro, rumour has it were looking at mousse dembele from Celtic and to be honest I've got a feeling that looking at another one from belgium.
We're going to be a lot lot stronger than last year.

just to clarify my JOKE yesterday that 12 people gave the thunbs down too is that because you don't want efc to buy lucas lima or becasue you seriously don't think we should be in for neymar first off i know neymar is beyond our ability to acquire it was a comment made on the basis of being excited that right now seems anything is poss (except for that obviously ) because currently neymars best mate is being touted as joining some pretty terrible teams across europe and is available for a snip i have heard and we have sounded out the poss. of a deal and Barcelona his preferred destination has ruled out a move for the guy. its a good time to be an evertonian its cool to dream just not on here apparantly.
