Funny isn't it. I've read on here Austin wanted to stay down south. Odd on to move to Newcastle. Correct me if I'm wrong isn't it further north then us.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i think he was angling for a move to either arsenal or spurs dazer, but none of them made an offer so he went where the money is mate..

29 Jul 2015 11:14:55
He has recently bought a new house in Berkshire

according to sky we did sell Long, they are stating
Chris Long has joined Burnley from Everton for an undisclosed fee

28 Jul 2015 16:32:50
We're Everton and we like undisclosed fee's.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sounds like a brown envelope job to me gibbo.. :)

28 Jul 2015 16:39:26
Fee to be agreed or set by a tribunal. It looks as though they've gone the agreement way.

cannot believe we have sold Long, I would have kept him and got rid of Kone, bad deal for us

28 Jul 2015 12:42:38

Hi mate we didn't sell long he left on a free transfer his contract ran out but we did offer him a new contract he rejected it for first team football but totally agree would of prefer long in r first team team than kone

28 Jul 2015 13:24:34
he wanted to go so good luck to him

28 Jul 2015 13:40:34
He was offered a new contract by Everton but wanted regular first team football. what else could Everton do?
Wellzee

I am shocked by that, the lad looked to have a touch of class about him. Burnley must've made a good offer, or you'd hope anyway.

28 Jul 2015 15:42:06
Let's be honest, we've got mcaleny who looks decent, and we've also got Naismith who's decent as a center striker. If we need another foward to backup lukaku, it's not a decent one we need it's one who is capable of starting (berahino or Austin) we've still got henen for the future.

Hi blues I live in NZ but still get kept up to date about transfers heard that Everton want Lukaku but he's happy at Everton and also and Chelsea have been told to cough up £38 million to land John stones, also Van Dijk will be one of two possibly 3 new signings

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jul 2015 09:39:20
We managed to get lukaku all signed up, lol.

28 Jul 2015 04:29:42
1)Stones leaving 50%, depends on game time

2) virgil van dijk will be stones replacement of left

3) Man U want lukaku but feel he is over priced

4) man city feel stones would be a great investment into a young English player

No one wil leave this summer. Its the papers trying to sell off our best players like they do every window. Have faith in rm. Iv got a feeling we will do well this year. Just need a couple of quality signings wich I think we will get.

Agree1 Disagree1

28 Jul 2015 12:20:08
First off if Stones goes or not, we need a quality centre half, whether that's Van Dijk or someone else, we'll find out in due course. But, if he does go then we need two centre halves.
Can I remind everyone that when we sold Rooney it was because he asked to go. With the money we bought players who took us on a European journey. Who's to say we couldn't do the same again if Stones asks to leave, because if he asks,we must let him go as we have with others, but we must ensure that we get the highest price possible to reinvest in replacements or stopgaps while our own young players come through. When that happens we may be in a situation to keep them, if not, then the wolves will start circling again!

Agree1 Disagree1

28 Jul 2015 13:57:34
Dissagree sorry Mike. Stones has 4 years left on his contract so if he asks we are well within our rights to say no. Why sell him when he says? He'll be worth a lot more even in a years time.

What you're suggesting is exactly what we had to do with Rooney at a time when we were in a bit of financial trouble. It's not like that now.

We keep stone come what may. We hold the cards. Time to show poker face

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Jul 2015 16:37:00
You may disagree Ace, but the fact is, we don't hold on to players who ask to leave. It's no use keeping an unhappy player, you will never get the best out of him.
I agree that with Stones on a long contract we do hold the upper hand, but only as far as the fee is concerned. As I've said we must make sure that any fee is record breaking.
I know I sound like a doom and gloom merchant, but that's because I think he'll go, I just hope it's not to Chelski.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jul 2015 12:09:51
Overpriced so is every player that gets sold apart from the odd bargain west brom just paid 8m for Chester I'm not saying he is rubbish but common, I would not sell Lukaku for under £40m weather he is worth that is a different matter
Stones maybe not worth 35m but would not sell for anything less you have to take everything into consideration do you think if we sold stones for £30m do you honestly think Celtic will sell us there star defender for 10m not a chance, Sterling went for £50m on the back of one good season and that was because he was playing with Suarez

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2015 17:23:52
Liverpool sold Suarez and Sterling because they wanted to go but, they made sure they went on Liverpools terms. If by any chance Stones wants to go then we've got to play hard ball and make sure we get top money for him. Chelski got £50m for David Luiz so let's start there.

{Ed025's Note - sounds a good starting point to me mike..
