Ed002, the Chelsea man, can you please tell everyone that we will NOT be signing Lukaku? It's starting to get annoying now. {Ed002's Note - Lukaku will not be signing for Everton.}

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Ed002 isn't reliable

Agree2 Disagree1

I reckon we have a good chance of signing lakaku after his loan has finished! {Ed025's Note - it will take a lot of dosh mate..

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with ed0002. We have zero chance of signing him. He will either play for Chelsea or one of the top European sides who are competing for champions league glory. He'll enhance those teams but he actually makes ours. We need to work on finding a goalscorer for once he's gone because he's the difference between challenging for top 6 vs battling against bottom 6

You can't say never in football it mite only be a small chance but there a small chance is better than no chance

Agree0 Disagree2

Pod, I was with you completely until the last line. Lukaku makes a huge difference to the team and will not be with us next season (seriously, anyone who thinks differently, I'm happy to take whatever odds you're offering. It simply won't happen) but I don't think we'd be bottom 6 without him. There is now a significant number of quality players in the squad and whilst we'd clearly be less of a threat without Lukaku I think we'd simply adapt the way we play.

It's all hypothetical, of course, but that's my opinion. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate, lukaku is brilliant, but we still beat chelsea without him..

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if we reach champions league next season and bid $25mil?

Agree0 Disagree1

Witu respect how do you no did you now he was coming and who chelsea will sign in jan and if you do please give me 6 numbers for sat lotto

I reckon we go back in for Toby Alderweireld in January. He only just signed for Athletico, but they are doing insanely well and he has been frozen out. I imagine he'll probably say he wants to stay and fight for his place, but will probably be secretly open to a move if his playing time doesn't increase (what's better, not playing at a title contending team, or first choice at one [hopefully] competing for Europe?). His price will have probably bumped up a little, but nothing extreme, and he still suits our system perfectly. {Ed002's Note - No, this can't and won't happen.}

Believable2 Unbelievable8

Why not? He has already admitted his disappointment at how poor he was in his ONLY appearance of the season, and there is talk in Spain that they want to move him on again.

Hi ed are the rumours about martins indi true?

2. Did we have him lined up in the summer too?

Thanks
wasy {Ed002's Note - There is interest. I don't know what "lined-up" means. Try avoid asking me questions in gangster rap.}

Believable0 Unbelievable4

I mean like they had him ready if baines went in the summer?

Also ed002 seem as you support chelsea could you see us signing Bertrand and do you rate him?
Thanks
Easy {Ed002's Note - I don't "rate" players but there is a chance that Bertrand will be open to a move in the summer. Patrick van Aanholt may also be worth a look.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks ed002 and I hope use stay away from Ross

Wasy {Ed002's Note - I promise I will. There has been a little activity around the left backs at Chelsea and the club never stand in the way of anyone wanting to leave if a good offer comes along. Bertrand would be a good buy if Everton are interested.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 do we have any chance or interest of getting de buryne in Loan

Thanks again
Wasy {Ed002's Note - There is no chance whatsoever. None.}

See united r suppost 2 b close 2 signing baines in jan, thought this could b on cards no knew contract signed. If as quoted 15mill is not bad as he is nearly 29 now, I trust bobby would buy well, and I think we should go all out and try 2 keep lukaku even if I hate 2 say it Ross as 2 b part ov the deal, as chelski fancy him.with McCarthy in the same mould and ther would b quality midfielders we could go 4 I think we could cope. we have never ad a striker like luka 4 yrs we av been crying out 4 one, so my god what ever it takes I hope prey we can keep him. (bluejack)

Believable2 Unbelievable15

Jack, we are not going to sign Lukaku. I think that is a truth a few Blues need to face up to. Even if Chelsea for some reason don't choose to keep him he's already way out of our price range.

Also, Barkley and McCarthy are significantly different types of players and one cannot be substituted for another.

I think we need to keep Ross for as long as we can possibly hold on to him, we all know he will eventually move on but let's not be willing to let go yet, I think Barca may come in for him myself as they are about to rebuild apparently

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to keep Ross and build a team around him and some of the other talents in the u21's. Then look for a striker to replace lukaku and in january get rid of jelavic.
