Is there any interest in Leon goretzka or sander berge. I've read articles linking us and arsensl. ti both players so just wondering if there's any truth

Hi Ed25. A question for you.
Yes, I am a Liverpool fan, but I watched a lot of Everton games last season apart from Liverpool and MU (because I love Ibrahimovic) . Watched them not because of I wanted to watch them lose or anything, just that I love football and will watch as many games aired in the TV especially if they were live.
I noticed there were some changes in style in Everton now. Couldn't say exactly what, because I am no expert, but I was kinda sure there were some differrences compared to during Martinez era. And I enjoyed watching some of them.
I'm concerned, it seems there will be lots of new addition in the team this window, and maybe it might cause some instability to the team who started to play better than before. What is your thought, Ed25, on this?

{Ed025's Note - the gung-ho style of martinez has now been replaced with a calmer and well organized style haizan, the defence has improved immensely and now we need to address creativity issues that were sadly lacking last season, koeman and walsh are dealing with that now and i know what your saying about lots of changes, but you cant make an omelette without cracking some eggs, i believe we have the right men in place now to move us forward and with the new stadium on the horizon its a very exciting time for the club mate..

Ed, any more movement in Dendonker? Gone a bit quiet recently but we've supposedly shut the door now on the inter Croat midfielder and now seemingly loaned anderlecht this new Nigerian striker. Any links there?

Few fresh rumours doing the rounds this afternoon. Galloway off to Forest - wouldn't be a big surprise. Onyekuru a done deal according to some sites - an odd one this but will have to trust Walsh's judgement in this one if it comes off. Kev Mirrallis off to Turkey? Not having this one - we need a squad to compete in 4 competitions and Kev is certainly worth a squad place.

Odd because there was no indication that we were front runners for this deal. It's clear that, as well as improving the current squad, Walsh had been set the task of planning for long term success too. Usually we spend what we have on the scraps - now we have a clear vision, Moshiri means business! Long may it continue!

I see Niang is holding out for Arsenal to come in, personally I think we can do a lot better than this guy, hardly pulled trees up at Watford, surprised Everton are chasing this guy unless others know something I may have missed in the player.

I'm with you Bazwil212 he did nothing at Watford so why he's good enough for us, he's not good enough for AC Milan so he can't be that good, he's still young and surely if he had something about him they would keep him.

All we saw of niang was on match of the day and he was playing for a struggling team no disrespect to watford but if your an atting player in a defensive team your not going to look great personally i don't want him he seems to think he's better than he is.

I think personally a season long loan needs looking into, a club should be able to recall a player in the January window if in an emergency, once that January window passes then the player remains on loan for the rest of the season.

Hope to god your right Bluey79 and he signs. I know footballers are well looked after but seems there someone influencing Barkley. At 23 that can be easily done on someone depending on their personality. I know I could be told anything at 23 and I more than likely would believe it.
Good for Barkley and the club if he signs. Not sure how things will develop with Koeman though.

call me a cynic but his agent has to do something to kick start the spurs negs' off, hope he does stay but, tbh this has ploy written all over it albeit unless someone has heard stuff that i haven't seen if he was truly staying i reckon it would be announced before it hit social media their can be only one reason to leak this kind of info on social media hope i wrong would like to see barkley stay and play with better quality players around him. ce'la'vie.

I'm not glad he's going to stay. I think he should of gone a couple of seasons ago. When is he going to play. If we get our number target. League cup? Disappointed we backed tracked. Should of made a some cash and opened room for someone let's just say a little more reliable. It's not even a coin toss if he's going to play well.

Couple of stories on NewsNow saying the man in charge of selling him is in England. Supposedly we could sign him and instantly loan him to Anderlecht. But then again I think there's only Messi and Ronaldo we haven't been linked with.

{Ed002's Note - We have no way of measuring "close". Everton do want the deal for Michael Keane resolved one way or another and don't want to get in to any auction. So perhaps something will come out of that soon.}
