Toffee web. com say we are favourites to sign Robbie Brady. Good player but we may be held to ransome on. price. I have a feeling that agents are throwing our name into every transfer to put up the price because of our new investment?

Can't see him as anything more than a squad player not really better than anything we already have.

They may still owe us cash for Naismith which could work in our favour.

May not be an automatic first choice but we do need more options and we need to pad the squad out a bit having lost Osman, Pienaar, hopefully McGeady, Hibbo etc. We need numbers as well as some quality.

Another naismith type player (who I liked by the way and was gutted when he went) I thought we wanted to move the club forward? I know we need squad player but this lad from villa and now Brady? It's hardly mata or witsel is it. Bit disappointing.

Hi ed

just read that kapustka has agree terms with leicester. Do you know if this is true or are we still in with a shout?

{Ed002's Note - I still doubt that a move to Everton will happen.}

Napoli yet to respond to Chelseas 38 million pound bid

Hmmmmm, wonder why that is, not waiting for a certain John Stones saga is to be completed by any chance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Any offer between Chelsea and Napoli has nothing whatsoever to do with John Stones or Everton.}

27 Jul 2016 17:39:08
Not being negatime here but I really can't see us getting this napoli defender. To me he's in his way to Chelsea. Anthing happening that you know of ed?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - There is no secret that Chelsea would like the player and he is open to a move to London.}

27 Jul 2016 17:51:46
With respect Ed002, I believe it does, Napoli may hang on waiting to see if Everton sell Stones and thus be desperate (maybe) for a replacement. Isn't that just Business.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - No Napoli won't be doing that. They deal with what is in front of them.}

27 Jul 2016 18:24:50
Ed002: Agreed - Chelsea's "deal" with Napoli is between them.
However, Everton's reported interest in Koulibaly (and other centre backs) is surely driven by the imminent departure of Stones, question-marks over Funes Mori's longer-term future, Jagielka's injury, and whether or not our young centre-backs (Pennington, Galloway, Holgate, etc. ) although promising are ready for regular Premier League football. I think it's fair to make those observations - don't you?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Neither Napoli nor Chelsea has any interest in what Everton are doing - none whatsoever.}

27 Jul 2016 22:45:28
Ed002: I agree that they're not interested in what Everton are doing. Too many fans/ posters are deluded (bordering on paranoid) about transfer speculation and see ludicrous conspiracies when players choose other clubs over Everton. EFC are clearly not as attractive a proposition at present as many other clubs If EFC become regular challengers domestically and in Europe, then we might see a change, but for the moment we're not there. That's what Moshiri, Koeman, Walsh, et al, are working to deliver.
My original point was that Everton may be interested in certain players like Koulibaly because of the club's own defensive needs - players leaving or injured - even if that interest in the higher-priced "bigger" names may prove baseless and fruitless at this moment in time.

I notice these Strootman rumours are dead however funes mori linked with Roma. Maybe a swap deal with us chucking in 5 million euros to sweeten the deal. Imo funes mori is decent but he is a loose cannon which you could probably do without in the premier league, another reason why I can't wait to see the back of stones. We will have city's pants right down if he goes for anywhere near the price rumoured. We could replace him and stones with koulibaly which I highly doubt will happen. Line ( convinced hell do a better job than arouna) from sunderland. I think we should give up on witsel which personally think is the case and if not definitely should be as he comes across as a total mercenary. Maybe the media got it wrong with the 100 million as its looking more like 100 quid.
