looking on the everton website now and can see nothing of a 'big announcement'?

I never saw it mentioned on the offical site but It was mentioned on NSNO by the user sharpattack! who in the past has been known to get inside info. he said "Big announcement tommorow watch this space! seriously" so you guess is as good as mine? myself personally would think it would be barkley signing a better deal! or maybe they know the results of the fitness tests ahead of tmw's game!. who knows? answers on a postcard.

heitinga says he is definately going by the end of this transfer window, so I expect at least a defender and a midfielder to come in

I have it on good authority that Barkley may be fit to play against Liverpool. He trained last week with an injection to get him through and Martinez wants to do the same on Tuesday for what I believe is a game that will decide the top 4.

Personally, I can't see him starting but wouldn't be entirely surprised if he was named on the bench.

On a related note Ed (or any other fellow blues), is there any update on Gerry?

Although ie is in full training today, as are Distin, Jags, Coleman and Barkley. Pienaar training as well. They will not risk Coleman with Hibbo being available.
