Sorry but if this rumour is true (Felli to Moyes United 20m with add ons) is true then we getting mugged off. 24 plus m NOW! Bloody 'add ons' when they are one of the richest clubs in the world!
Hopefully usual press BS.

Believable11 Unbelievable5

They said arsenal had activated fellaini's release clause and they hadn't. Just have to wait and see.

Agree2 Disagree0

The release fee was 23.5m, the ginger rat should be told, 25m and not a penny less, or F. OFF.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's on the Liverpool Echo website that its £25Million but its never official until its on tv

Agree2 Disagree0

There would be add ons for the bale they happen in most transfers

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget add ons give us Hernandez instead, at least he knows where the net is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Iam the only one who dosent rate moyes or fellini ihope he gets him they both won't last 18 months they are both predicable I think I am the only toffee who is made up moyes has gone and feel isolated . we have a proper maneger know let's get behind him tom efc

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Just spoken to someone WHO IS IN THE KNOW, they have just said no offer made, no offer accepted, so just more disinformation to try to unsettle the lad.

Agree1 Disagree0

We should wait to see what we get for Felli before people make judgements and abuse BK.

If our board have accepted anything less than 25m for Fellaini, I will be seriously pi$$ed off!
Fellaini has NOT asked for a transfer so for me we hold all the cards he leaves for what we say not what the mancs say.
Its time we played hard ball, the levy way make a proper offer within 48hrs or Fellaini stays and we will nk longer have any transfer dealings with man utd.
END OF

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Don't understand the "END OF" (your capitals).

Are you saying it's the end of your post? Or are you perhaps suggesting what you say is, like Moses's commandments, written in stone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on although I'd still be cheesed off with £25m for him, the mancs need teaching a lesson that if u want one of ours and he's not on the transfer list then u have to pay our value of the player not your embarrassing one.

Young Rocky {Ed025's Note - i remember moyes saying "we are everton, we dont sell cheap"...lets hope we stick to our ex managers ethos rocky, and screw them for as much as possible..

Shane Duffys dad has it on fb that Fellaini to Utd done for 20m, what a joke board we have.Caving in to Davie lad.Kenwright must go

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Bull would be my guess mate

Agree0 Disagree2

Not only bk should go but the whole board should go this is a club in really bad need of a new owner

Agree1 Disagree0

Shane Duffy's dad on - you're quoting a heavyweight source. Did you have to trawl past pictures of him and his fat cabbie mates on a stag do to get to that adolescent gem?

Hull aiming to make a bid for Big Vic. No word of a fee, but it's on newsnow.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Just read that also. everton need to conduct their business before or without consuming sales first. big Vic does nt excite me but its the wrong time to do business like this. Jcl

Agree0 Disagree1

Would anyone take £6 for him?

Agree3 Disagree2

Only if bob already has a suitable replacement identified but we need someone who gets well into double digits or at least has the capability to. I don't think Vic has it in him. jcl

Agree1 Disagree0

I would take £5 and a curly wurly, can't stand the lad. Not good enough and earns too much for what he offers.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 09:10:28
I would sell, he has the build of Drogba and goes down like Drogba but that is where the similarity ends, not good enough for me, one good game in ten average is not what we need, sell now and put towards a decent striker, good luck in your move Vic, much appreciated what you done for us

Degs

Agree1 Disagree0

He is an excellent player. His hold and link up play is as good as you're going to see and he is adding goals to his game. Far better than Kone. We're not going to get more than £5m for him, and he's worth far more than that.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Aug 2013 23:01:35
if we sell felli, its got to be 24 mill up front and whatever afterwards, anything less up front and we accept then the board have sh1t on us all once again!no steel and holding out for the right price!joke

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I agree, we got 22m for Lescott and he was worth 15m tops, we should be pushing Man U hard for 30m, we don't want to sell, don't have to and they're getting desperate. Supply and demand BK, take them to the cleaners! Otherwise I'm paying for you to go to the Daniel Levy business school.

Agree1 Disagree1

I have just emailed the club guys. with a nice email stating that I'd support them if they didn't sell fellainis unless they got 30 m cash for him. let's do it on mass. we develop a player and get a max (before sell on Claus etc) profit of 6m quid. plus he is definitely worth somewhere closer to 30m. Jcl

Agree1 Disagree0

Lescott was worth well more than £15m. He was our best player and one of the best defenders in the league, plus he was prolific. We got what we should have for him.

Not sure how true this is but will share it anyway.my mate just text me saying "according to some well known journo who used to work for utd, on Twitter, a deal for MF is done.its for £20m rising to £24"

Believable7 Unbelievable6

The metro are reporting it aswell. Worth more than £20m. Hope bill doesn't cave in

Agree0 Disagree0

That's the latest rumour but that just ain't good enough. IMO it should be 25-30. cash upfront. in all honesty I'd rather we did not sell this lad. Jcl

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Aug 2013 21:55:16
Hearing on Twitter that deal agreed for Felli. 20m rising to 24m with add ons.
Was hoping for a bit more than that.

Believable7 Unbelievable7

Metro are also reporting it. I hope it's bollox.

Agree1 Disagree0

Cant see it myself I think everton would want atleast 24 bot 20 which was below his old release clause

Agree0 Disagree1

If true it's a piss poor price for Felli, just shows bk has no balls and just caves in under pressure like the person gobrubbish he is. 20 rising to 24 with strap ons. Christ! We could keep him one more season and sell him fer the World Cup for more. The board is so rubbish it's unbelievable.

I think we should be in decent financial shape before this year we lost 5-9m per year but we now pay 1.5m less per year for finch farm so that's a 3.5-7.5m loss but add in the new sky money at approx. 30m extra a year that's a 22.5-26.5m profit per year then you add in wage change with moyes and staff, mucha, hitzlespurger and Neville off and Martinez and cheaper staff, robels, alcaraz, kone and delefou added we must be at a minimum even probably slightly less wages than last year adding to the profits

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Made up for Barkley however he's only played 2 full games this season and he's got an England call up. Leave the kid alone to develop properly rather than put too much expectation for club and country.

Hope we get Moses and marrone more likely though McCarthy and mcgready.

Eric D

Believable12 Unbelievable0

Would rather get the first 3 you mentioned, Moses, Marrone and McCarthy.

Agree3 Disagree1

Your right he is still developing but the kid is a huge talent as long as they let him express his self then I'm all for playing them for England I want to see us go to World Cup and play without fear, a freedom for players like Rooney, Wiltshire, Barkley to influence things instead of turning up and knowing full dam well the line up, formation and the way we play we turn up every 4 years with the same s""t let's go and attack these teams not worried what the media are going to say and no one wanting the ball because they are frighten of making a mistake and media crucifying them next day that's why we were good under B.Robson not cause we had better squad then far from it but we had gazza who would express himself he could glide past people with ease and I see it in Wiltshire and Barkley

Just heard from a mate of a mate of a mums mate that they were out in Primark and saw BK in the ladies lingerie section. They asked him if he fancied the thongs he was fondling and he said that he was just browsing so they asked him what's going on in the transfer market. Aparently he said we may or may not get someone in before deadline day and that someone may or may not be sold! One thing he did say for defo was that the crest questionnaire doing the rounds is a waste of time because they already have the next new one sorted and it is a one of a kind design from Stella McCartney because her Dad is a blue and wanted to invest somehow and found this the bet way!
McLovinBlue

Believable7 Unbelievable15

I like this one - well thought out

Agree4 Disagree0

What do you mean well thought out BK looking at underwear in primark then couple of ladies ask him about transfers, do me a favour! Ask yourself why our chairmen is out shopping for underwear in first place and 2 why in primark I know he is no oil barren but he has a few quid to shop elsewhere especially if the underwear for his wife was a present as that's the only time I buy for my wife {Ed025's Note - i hope you are carrying on the joke mate?

Hi eds, thanks for your response. I really like the rumours page, it's interesting to read some of the comments and rumours. Can you clarify for me just how much Everton got from the sky money and their position in the League last year. By my reckoning 50 million from sky and 11.7 million from finishing 7th. In total that's 61.7 million.
43 million of debt, with 8 million paid out for Kone and Robles. Leaves 53 million. obviously I have not taken out the new players wages. But it could still leave BK with 20 million if he paid back the banks 20 million and retain 13 million for other funds if needed in the January sales. And let's not forget Moyes was on 8 million a year. So that saved as Martinez is only on 2 million a year. I'm no accountant, but even I can see we are in a reasonable position financially. what do you think eds?

Roy_ Allblue {Ed025's Note - i think your figures may be on the high side roy, but i do think we are financially stable mate..

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Don't forget the sale of finch farm back to the council if am right

Agree2 Disagree1

We finished 6th

Agree4 Disagree0

Players have to be paid during the year.

Agree2 Disagree0

Players wages come from gate receipts & some of the Tv deals

Sinno24

Agree1 Disagree0

Approx £64m a year goes on wages, around 3/4 of turnover. Add in other operating costs of £24m and we're in debt from the get go. Add another £7m in interest each year to vibrac and some more to Barclays. So we're in a dire financial situation. If sly pulled the plug tomorrow we'd be the first club to go under. We borrow money at extortionate rates against the following season's sly cash, season tickets etc. so by the time it reaches us it's payed out. All it takes is less matches on sly, crowds down, and slipping down the league (which will happen sooner rather than later with the lack of funds for team strengthening) and we won't be far from administration.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sorry turnover ^^ is c. £83m. Less than the mighty Norwich city.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Aug 2013 21:45:38
to all those doom and gloomers saying we have no money left from sky deal as it is going to pay back debt, wages, interest etc, what are the gate reciepts going to pay for? If we ran at Circa £80 mill last year income and £80 Mill or so out, we operate at £0 cost (without the sky money last year). Surely with the sky income we will still have money to spend. The reason we are not to transparent for all of sundry to understand how much EFC have to spend in the transfer market is so that teams keep prices low and expect a small bid from us. CraigHuytonBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

One day, eventually, just maybe, people will see exactly what bk is doing to our club but by then it will probably be too late and we no longer exist.
Only then will they acknowledge that he was the one of the great snake oil salesmen.
But sadly it will be too late to do anything about it.

Agree2 Disagree0

The gate receipts, sly money have all been borrowed against and spent from the previous season. There is no money. This season's increased tv money was borrowed against last year and it's not paid in a lump sum, it's paid in instalments. Some now, some January.
Transfers fees for the previous ten seasons, ins and outs are minus £13m.

evening blues,
just back from work (Manchester) mate there is a wigan fan, out in mcr last night ran into a few of the everton lads (fellaini and kone were the 2 he mentioned - had pics to back it up) apparently asked felli what's going on with man u, felli laughed and told him he won't be leaving for less than £30 million.
always a bit sceptical myself about these rumours but thought i'd put it out there for what its worth
(players were in a bar called neighborhood in mcr)

COYB

Believable13 Unbelievable9

I can't see a pro footballer telling a stranger about his transfer situation.

Agree1 Disagree2

Well I can back up that they were defo in manchester and in neighbourhood because my sister and bro in law where in there! so your mate is genuine matey!

Agree3 Disagree0

Players don't fix their fees. The buying and selling club decide the fee for every player.

I can't see anyone looking to take Fellani for more than his earlier publicised release clause approx 23 million), otherwise why did they not trigger it while it was live.

Agree1 Disagree0

Because Tiago was Frog Eyes's plan A, Fabregas plan B and now he's left with the wig as last resort so they don't want to pay over the odds for a player who wasn't first choice. but they'll have to because we don't need to sell.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Aug 2013 15:23:13
McCarthy to Everton is a done deal and has been for a while, he said as much to his international team mates when on duty for the republic recently. He is a quality player that fits Martinez s system perfectly.Fellaini will be leaving just hope Arsenal get involved and it becomes a bidding war.Id personally settle for 25m not a penny less.McCarthy will cost about 15m so if we can sell Johnny i'd say another striker or Jusmanovic from Fiorentina.

Believable2 Unbelievable8

I personally think fellaini will leave a big gap in our team Macarthy is decent and will become a top midfielder but fellaini is a class act and for me the best midfielder at what he does in prem people won't see it till he has gone hope we don't sell need to be adding to what we got not replacing people say we need midfielders which we do but add to

Agree2 Disagree0

Bull Brigade rumor, We already got who we looked for at Wigan, We wouldn't go back to them for one player or buy Whelan a yacht

Agree0 Disagree0

No way is McCarthy a done deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why wouldn't we go back to Wigan for one more player, their best player?
Also first reply, nice to see someone finally speak sense for a change.
Fellaini will be a huge miss, his value and what he brings to the team will only be noticed and appreciated when he's gone, he's one of a kind.
And we should look to get what Moyes values him at and that's £30m, not a shilling less

Agree0 Disagree0

any truth in us being interested in nick powell on loan {Ed025's Note - dealing with united would be difficult at this time..

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Hes going to wigan on season long loan not us

Agree1 Disagree0

There saying he go to Wigan on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

And then he'll come to us because he will have played for Wigan!

Agree1 Disagree0

Powell to Wigan
McCarthy to EFC
Fellaini to United

Done deal

Agree1 Disagree0

United should just pay the Fellaini fee directly to Dave Whelan then, make it easier and trust him to give us the change, if there's any.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Aug 2013 13:47:30
If United are seriously going to offer £25M for Fellaini then why would we not want to take it? We need to strengthen and obviously have a limited budget but this would allow us to invest and take the team forward. let's be honest when Feli is good he is good but too often he goes missing

I say let's take it and buy
Alderwield £6M
Marrone £7M
Moses £8M (or loan)

That leaves a bit left for BK

If we could sell Johnny too then maybe that extra cash could land us Defoe

Believable9 Unbelievable5

I reckon you've undervalued the possible incoming players by at least a couple of million each. If I'm misjudging, then great and they're really very good value.
BaronHardup

Agree2 Disagree0

It doesn't work like that, u dnt get 25mil and it goes strait back in the kitty, what about wages, agent fees and banks,

Agree1 Disagree0

TA.and Marrone are settled their price like that Baron. But Mosses must be up to 10. Anyway even in case Felli leave and his replacement is priority but promising striker suppose to be next.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you've overvalued them somewhat, Alderweireld 1 year left on his contract, Marrone is far from a first team place at Juve and Moses went to chelski at a premium just because they were chelski, and he's looking like he's surplus to requirements there so his value drops because they need to ship him out so Mourinho can have his preferred 22 man squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can anyone say the sale of a player worth £25-30m to buy squad players of around £6-7m is STRENGTHENING is the biggest pile of rubbish I've ever heard!
Let me ask you this;
If we had the money and were linked with Fellaini there'd be open air parties on Goodison Road.
STRENGHTENING is selling your squad players like Heitinga, Gueye, Osman, Hibbert, to purchase players of £6-7m.
But hey we only got £60m from Sky and Spent £8m. The rest goes on 'lawn mowers' and 'other operating costs'
Dave M

Agree2 Disagree0

Good call on those mate and like you say Toby and Marrones values are pretty much what you £6 and £7m. Think moses may be a tad more though we could maybe offer £5-7m and then make it up to £10m in add ons. To be honest I think we already have enough attacking/wide players and would prefer two centre mids coming in
Cheeks

Agree0 Disagree0

I think sometimes us blues are sucked in by the fact we may sign a player. How much do any of us know about a juve fringe player and an ajax centre back. I know its a rumour site but we don't want to lose a good player and sign three for the sake of it.

Local daily newspaper reporting man u ready to come back in and bid £25m for just fellaini. How rude's that after the offer they made for baines and fellaini? Not sure how to feel over this, its a lot of money and if spent wisely could vastly improve our squad. {Ed025's Note - does that mean they valued baines at £3m?...i say have nothing to do with them!..

Believable5 Unbelievable4

You're passing up the chance to get twenty five million pounds out of Marouane Fellaini? No chance, sell him and run with the money.

Agree2 Disagree1

20% goes to Standard Leige, part of the original deal

Agree2 Disagree1

Is that 20% of the total fee or just of the amount above what we paid?
Unhappy-Camper

Agree0 Disagree1

Unhappy-Camper:- that would be 20% of any profit on what we paid. So £25m, would net Liege approx £2m

Agree1 Disagree0

20% of 25 million is 5 million

Agree0 Disagree1

20% of £25m is indeed £5m, 20% of the £10m profit is £2m (Assuming he is sold for £25m and was bought for £15m).

Agree0 Disagree0

Just listened to RM on tv from what he said I got the impressions that both Baines and Felli will with us until at least the winter transfer window unless an obscene bid come in. He did say that we would be looking for players to enhance the squad in the future but also there are no bids on the table for anyone at the moment.

I know that its best not to show your hand in the transfer market but IMO its looking very unlikely that we will sign reinforcements prior to the close of this transfer window.

Multi billionaire buys Everton football club and immediately states new manager Pep Guadiola has an unlimited transfer kitty while having planning permission for new state of the art stadium on Stanley Park rushed through.
Meanwhile across the park, Liverpool owners announce they have frittered away the clubs money and they are calling in the administrators.
While just down the road in Manchester new United manager David Moyes is sectioned under the mental health act and led away to the nearest asylum while shouting 'I could have been someone'.

Martinez has said we are very very strong financially so we don't need to sell! When did that happen? Certainly not complaining but we are always hearing how Skint everton are etc etc now suddenly we are "very very strong financially"

Believable6 Unbelievable1

There's a difference between where we seem to be now i.e. not having to sell a player every Summer transfer window just to fund the club's operations AND where we're clearly not yet at i.e. being in a position of having no debts or a modern ground with high commercial income or a sugar daddy that all mean loads of money to spend on transfers and wages. So, until another club offers us good value for a player (or a player forces a move) we don't have to sell. On the other hand, without incoming funds we still can't pay the really big fees and wages to bring in the very top players. IMHO we need more of our young players, like Barkley and Stones, to progress and develop into genuine Everton first-team players.

One player who has been widely linked with a switch to Goodison Park is Wigan's James McCarthy but Martinez clarified that media reports suggesting Everton had lodged an official approach were wide of the mark.

"There has been no bid made, " he said. "I think it's quite easy to understand that James is a player I signed at a young age and I've got huge admiration for him, so it doesn't take anyone [much] to create a little bit of a story. But there has been no bid." taken from new article on the OS, no bids! for Baines, Fellaini - or from us for McCarthy
