Football Now just said on twitter Steven Naismith is to sign a four year deal for EFC... Dunno they seem pretty sure about it, and I hope so

Moyes has wanted Naismith for a long time even before Jelavic arrived, a class player, can play as a striker, behind the striker or right wing, works his socks off, if over his bad injury will become another legend from the north to wear blue {Ed025's Note - i agree mate, even the celtic ed rates him very highly...and believe me..thats saying something..

I believe they have watched Steven Naismith numerous times, when he has played that is (prior to his knee injury) and Moyes does rate him highly.

But I don't understand how we could sign him? I thought the window opens July 1st? Or is that when the player can actually join the team? {Ed025's Note - a player can sign a pre contract agreement, as he has invoked a clause in his contract, and i believe this is the case here..

Fourth official on twitter reckons its not true. I dont know who to beleive on there. They are all attention seekers. Do they actually know anything?

At the ground today to get season ticket and was told by the steward that Chelsea officials have been to ground to talk about Felli. Apparently they were waiting to see if they won champions league before making an offer. Expect a deal worth 35 Million to be put forward. Player plus cash or even straight cash. If its true i would want a player and cash as most of the cash will go to the bank.

Oh yer I always remember bill saying, when he has big news the first people he tells are stewards and of course the toffee ladies. Not only that, rather than Chelsea officials meeting in London where kenwright is mainly based. They decide to both travel to Goodson park and have the meeting there. Good old trusty steward, I was talking to a steward the other day an know what he told me? Fair point, but it still doesn't explain why a steward would be privvy to such sensitive information.

I went to view a seat a few years back when renewing my season ticket, was told by a steward that the club where starting work on redevelopment of Goodison in few weeks... that was the 2009/10 season! I'd take what some stewards say with a pinch of salt, they are unlikely to get any inside info.

My mates dad is a steward and they are not allowed to tell anyone any inside information or they loose their jobs! so why would he have told you that!!

Ji Sung Park is to join Everton for a fee of around 3 million.
David Moyes is said to be keen on the Manchester United squad player and feels he will fit in to the Everton system easily.
Park can play on the right of midfield, a position Everton are looking to improve and can play central aswell as on the left side meaning he would be very versatile which is something Moyes looks for when doing buisness on the tight budget he is constantly working with under Bill Kenwright.

There was Everton scouts at the Belgium game last night, although I have no clue who they were looking at. Dembele maybe? There was also scouts from spurs though; Unsurprisingly

Dempsey says he would like to play CL football but what club will he fit in at? He'd never get played at city, united look to be getting Hazard, and he really won't suit Chelsea, which leave Arsneal who in all fairness have the likes of Gervinhio, Oxdale & Walcott...

Naismith would not improve our team, just because Jelavic had the raw talent to play in any league like Grant Holt, doesn't mean SPL is any better

Naismith would improve our team! He's got a good touch, good technique and he works extremely hard. Love that team, would be a dream come true if that was our starting XI!

I'm not in any way slating the OP, I'm just saying that he lacks the raw technical ability to do it in the prem

Just an observation that no one has mentioned, I'm sure Pavel Pogrebnyak who went on loan to fulham is on a free this summer, I know Fulham will be trying there best to have him but stranger things have happened. He would be good back up for Jelavic, he's wages arnt big and God know's Moyes likes a big striker...

So it looks like Eden Hazard is going to Man Utd for some ridiculous fee but weren't we strongly linked with him a few seasons ago for only a few million? A missed opportunity perhaps?
