according to odds checker Jorge Sampaoli is third favorite. what your opinion on this one ed 25 did well with chile.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - to be honest bretto i dont know enough about the guy to give an opinion on him mate..

26 Apr 2016 21:56:04
Jorge Sampaoli - more clubs than Tiger Woods, nearly as many as Kevin Kilbane, never seems to stay anywhere for long.

26 Apr 2016 22:46:29
that true just mentioned him as other day no were on list now he third Rudi Garcia di Mateo also on list.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 22:51:43
never heard of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 23:20:19
He was with Roma but got sacked in March. Don't think he won much but reading various sites the players seemed to think highly of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 19:35:05
avb being heavily linked not sure really I can see some qualitys in him but still not sure what about the rest of you all.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

26 Apr 2016 19:48:42
I might be wrong but it seems to me that once clubs have got rid of AVB the team goes on to do well. He seems to be able to build a team but then it appears to go wrong and players not like him. I would take him providing his arrogance could be controlled, as it is that I think rubs the players up the wrong way. He is certainly in the calibre of manager I would hope we go for.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 20:23:40
Failed at Chelski, failed at Spurs. so he failed in the premier league. so why would we want him?

Agree8 Disagree1

26 Apr 2016 20:47:13
Another Martinez.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 20:57:59
How has he done since is the thing, does anyone know. On Moyes, having originally said, I would have him back in a heartbeat, I have had a rethink, he went to two Clubs since us and got sacked twice. Man Utd I believe that given the same time that LVG has been given he (Moyes) would have the same results. As to Sociedad, I do not know to much about it but he did get sacked. So given that and you do not return to the same Club twice theory. Perhaps not.

Agree5 Disagree1

26 Apr 2016 23:21:58
AVB done very well at Zenit. Look how they performed in the UCL! I would be more than happy if we got him.

Agree1 Disagree1

26 Apr 2016 19:15:29
Louis van Gaal is about to be unemployed. How about LVG as a Director of Football and Big Dunc as the onfield manager?

Yeah, just trying to bide the time until the next manager is announced, likely after June 1st.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - there is biding time...and beating yourself up with a big stick mate..

26 Apr 2016 20:21:29
Actually I'm being 1/ 2 serious. Moyes took over, as I recall, an aging Manc team and wasn't able to turn the team around. With LVG and two years of work, he has a likely FA Cup this year, an outside shot at the CL this year, and CL last year, and emerging young talent (Martial) .

This is an odd year with LC and the Spurs 1 and 2.

At least I'm not posting about Brenda taking the job.

Agree2 Disagree1

27 Apr 2016 11:37:56
LVG too old for me.
Heaven forbid we get Buck Rodgers, just another chancer like the one we have now. Can you imagine the Welsh Xavi in an Everton shirt. Even I could get a team to almost win the Prem if I had Suarez.
OMG no, not Rodgers.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 18:20:27
Just seen avb linked to us. I would take him he's young a decent manager who's won stuff and all the players he bought come good eventually.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - it looks like he will take time out at the end of this season then head off to portugal mate..at least thats the plan eddy..

26 Apr 2016 19:14:08
Spanish bob will not be sacked no meetings have taken place because if they had he would not be here now let's face it he is here until at least Jan.

Agree0 Disagree2

26 Apr 2016 19:25:27
I hope not he never did anything at spurs or Chelsea this would be very bad move if Bobby does get the sack we should set are sights higher Frank de Boer pelligrini, marcelino of Villarreal mancini and I am sure there's a few more we could go for that I haven't thought of.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 17:40:03
Martinez HAS been sacked today. Should be an announcement in the next few days. A statement not being released today for obvious reasons.

Source?

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Apr 2016 18:56:06
If this is true, then please, please, please don't give Moyes the job, I know some fans would welcome him back with open arms, but it shouldn't be forgotten how he behaved when he left, letting his contract run down, unsettling Baines and Fellaini, and spitting his dummy out when he never got his own way, also his record flatters to deceive whilst the everton manager, he was nailed on for 56 to 60 odd points a season, but at least 10-15 points would go begging each season because of his negative attitude, we finished 4th in 04/ 05 with the lowest ever points total for a champs league qualifier in England, still and achievement when you consider we were relagation favourites, but some perspective is needed, he always used our lack of finances as the reason for no silverware, but in truth it was his lack of ambition on the pitch tactically, he was a good solid manager over 38 games, but his cup record was abysmal, the Wigan quarter final in his last year encapsulated that, of we do really have some financial clout finally, then now is the time to be ambitious, appointing Moyes wouldn't be ambitious, it would be us taking the safe bet, 1-1 draw instead of rolling the dice and winning the lot, Forza Mouriniho!

Agree5 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - how can you say that about the moyesiah danny?...oh yeah because its true.. :)

26 Apr 2016 19:05:21
Thanks for the validation Ed! Let the lyching begin, haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - now where did i put that black hood?.. :)

26 Apr 2016 19:14:34
LewisEFC if that is a windup on today of all days mate then it is in very poor taste.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont see that as in bad taste bill?...he,s just saying that it will not be announced today because of the events in warrington, if he has then that would seem logical to me mate..

26 Apr 2016 19:39:54
Yep apologies for the bad taste comment to Mr LewisEFC, just a little upset (as we all are today) . Could still be a windup though eh! and that is just not funny, especially if Mr Phenomn stays.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - just a misunderstanding bill, emotions are running high today mate but we must all see it as a good day for the families as justice is being served..well it will be when those who are guilty are brought to account..

26 Apr 2016 20:40:47
No need to appologise Bill. Just passing on what I've been told. Not 100% true not false. Just putting what I've been told.

Agree1 Disagree1

26 Apr 2016 22:19:05
My mate youngest killed at Hillsborough was with him three hours before can't stop people talking about Everton he wouldn't of wanted it our city is big enough to cope with anything especially after what Liverpool done for us at anfield over Rhys then us with the Newcastle match proper solidarity.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Apr 2016 01:04:52
Need to say this. Moyes had never brought us from safe zone. But Martinez bring us to mountain dangerous road even he had found silky smooth road in first season but he decided to turn right because he feel mountain dangerous road is shorter.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 15:42:12
I think we all have to be honest with ourselves. If there is a so called meeting goes this week and he is still there for Saturdays game then I think he will be there next season.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

26 Apr 2016 16:12:04
Think we've got to remember the Hillsborough findings only just came out today so to sack a manager on a massive day like this or during the week could possibly be seen in bad taste specially as it effected so many families in Liverpool regardless of team supported, also what's the point in him going now or the end of the season it's not going to change our finish we have nothing to play for now and a rushed decision could be worse then him, if he's there Saturday let's get behind the team specially our young players but make sure he and the board know his time is up.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very fair points there randa mate..

26 Apr 2016 16:19:15
Sad but true John.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 21:02:11
If he is still there Saturday, I think silence and white hankies will tell the Board everything. Mind you he had the brass neck not to accept any responsibility for Wigans downfall and the dream world he lives in, he probably will come out afterwards and say the fans are behind him.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 12:49:18
Anyone else heard the rumours of big Dunc getting the boot?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - not me mate..

26 Apr 2016 13:16:19
Why would Big Dunc get the boot? Unless of course typically he has told it like it is and the poison dwarf has done what he normally does and that is lay the blame everywhere except himself. If Martinez does go and it is a big if, then he should not go with praise ringing in his ears, not quite ridicule but certainly silence. This is the man that just cannot or will not see the damage he does to Clubs.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 13:31:28
someone in work said that to me this morning Ed, thought nothing of it until now, if that's the case then RM is gone and new guy already sorted.

26 Apr 2016 15:31:30
why did my reply get deleted Ed, was only saying that someone said this in work too, did I do something wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i have just got in degs and someone had saved the post for me to answer mate..

26 Apr 2016 15:39:16
sorry Ed, I thought it had already been posted then deleted mate ha ha, still rough from the weekend, my mistake.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no probs mate..

26 Apr 2016 08:35:01
Morning Ed what is your take on this manager situation, some rags today saying Davey would love to come back, if he had a good transfer budget do you think he would cut the mustard l have my doubts, I still think Franc De Boer or Manual Pellegrenni for me sorry about the spelling cheers GuernseyBlue.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - From my perspective I don't see that there has been a change GB. At some point the board will sit down and consider the way forward and it is likely they will look to part ways. They will almost certainly take some external advice about this matter as well - Iranian businessmen are not the people to be putting any sort of framework in place for the footballing side of the club. Taking the three managers you have mentioned, David Moyes remains a very likely candidate regardless of what one or two posters have been saying. This has been done to death. I have explained what one of my wives said about Pellegrini being given two offers from one club and being on the list as a new manager for another - she will be right. If he turns all of that down and Everton approach him, then he cannot be discounted. Frank de Boer will be considering his options at the end of the season and one job he is interested in won't be available until next summer. Once a decision is made they will quickly begin to whittle down to a short-list and then it will become clearer.}

26 Apr 2016 10:06:03
Hi Ed many thanks for the reply, GuernseyBlue.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

26 Apr 2016 10:13:35
Ed002. "One of my wives". Exactly how many wives do you have?.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It depends how you count them.}

26 Apr 2016 10:36:24
Ed002: my understanding is that under EU regulations, wives (and husbands come to that) should be counted in matching pairs having first been sorted according to their height-to-age ratio ;-)

is it something to do with barcelona can activate the buy back if he plays well in the first season? if so I can a big season for delboy .

I don't usually post rumours Daz as just come on here for the banter but this is the truth, my elder bro is mates with one of our players and regularly has a few scoops with him, this player came out with the following sentence "Delofeu only has 20 minutes in him", take of that what you will mate but from one of the players mouths.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 10:48:10
While there might - just might - be some truth in stories that some other clubs might not select players so as not to activate certain contractual clauses related to appearances, the idea that Everton would deliberately omit any player because he's playing too well and is attracting the interest of other clubs seems imho utterly preposterous. Goodness knows why RM hasn't been selecting good - is it fitness, form, attitude, or just another inexplicable RM decision re selection and tactics?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 11:33:53
Del Boy brilliant going forward but a liability tracking back. Lennon Brilliant going forward but tends to drift inside thinking he is a No 10. In an attempt to rectify this but stick to his philosophy Martinez brings in DM's that can only sit deep. He is unable to adapt so that he has a link between defence and attack. And because he concentrates on ball work in training our Team is unable to complete 90 minutes playing his required tempo, hence our defence comes under more and more pressure ergo leaks goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 14:33:47
It doesn't take your older brother to tell u delofou only has 20 minutes in him does it mate. We have all known that all season.

Have some of this board got shares in my mobile phone company, just had to pay out £20 for data add ons.
Wasting so much searching for that club statement,

Everton FC have relieved Roberto Martinez of his duties with immediate effect.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - you may need to top up more mushy as it could be while before we get that news mate..

26 Apr 2016 08:11:30

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know mushy but my guess would be no mate..

26 Apr 2016 06:53:32
If Bobbie was going to be sacked it would have happened after the semi or on Monday morning. none of which has happened. So I'm guessing it will be at the end of the season ( Don't know why they would wait ) . or . he is safe for next season. C'mon Bill. enough is enough. Get it done.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

26 Apr 2016 10:47:57
i think Ed25s rumour yesterday may explain this, if we get away with paying millions out before June 1st then its good business, not as if it can get any worse is it.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 06:52:41
We are all puzzled to what is going on at the moment?
Have the board had a meeting in Haydock or there is a meeting planned this week?
Is it a clause in the contract and we save money waiting until June?
Or is the board going to be patient and not listen to the fans reaction to recent results in the hope it's going to change like Kendall era or Ferguson at Utd?
Another thing I thought of is if they did have a meeting in Haydock and decide to sack Roberto with the Hillsborough inquest verdict announced today it may delay our announcement of any such news, it is something that Bill would do and as a club we have respect for others and more dignified than other clubs.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - there are that many rumours going around that its hard to tell which stories have credence robbie, even people close to the club are unsure of what is happening, your last point is interesting and is yet another spanner in the works mate..

26 Apr 2016 08:45:39
I've thought the same thing Robbie.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2016 10:56:38
I think the comment about Everton delaying a managerial announcement until after the Hillsborough inquest verdict is a good point well made, as EFC and BK have always shown the greatest respect and solidarity towards that issue and the families involved.
