not being funny but we won't be signing anyone decent until all the clubs with wealthy backers have done there shopping. were like the dog that gets the scraps does my head in grrrrr

Believable9 Unbelievable8

So are you saying we have to wait until Chelsea man city Monaco psg have done their business cause other than them the other clubs don't have wealthy backers they are just well run clubs. FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesnt matter anyway. Do you think these transfer targets are just spur of the moment. Even if we were bidding first, we would ultimately lose either the transfer fee or wages battle if the bigger clubs were interested. Clubs and agents know who is interested in who, and delay deals to get as many parties interested as possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scraps that have turned into superstars? Arteta, Cahill, Jags, Baines!

Agree0 Disagree0

These wealthy clubs are dealing with totally different players to what were after, so your statement is nonsence!

Hearing Javier Hernandez is going to be Martínez's 'first signing' when United complete a move for Cavani next week. £10m rising to £15m on 65k a week.

Believable9 Unbelievable19

I highly doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

No because of kewright tats why we can't buy players kenwright out {Ed025's Note - tats nonsense..

Agree0 Disagree0

All this talk of Negrado and Soldado I would put Hernandez in the same class always scores goals what mre can you ask from a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

This isn't as unbelievable as many may make out.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 11:28:27
'tats', why all the doom and gloom? The season is nowhere near here and RM doesn't officially start until next week. We have money to spend, BK himself stated as much, so have a little patience ('tats')
I'd love to see Hernandez in an EFC shirt, the lad would be just what we need up front. I doubt this is even being discussed though, if he was to leave then he'd have plenty of suitors.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love this to be true! Rather him over Negredo!

weird one this, stood in our local shop today and over hear to fellas talking about a move for a player I've always rated as being a decent squad player I just didn't know he was a free agent as of july 1st, chris brunt, at first I thought no waste of dollar wouldn't get a game but on a free to thicken the squad i'd personally take him, you heard anything ED? or anyone else know anything on it? {Ed025's Note - no mate..new one to me that baru..

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Always been impressed with him at west brom and thought I wouldn't mind us going for him. Unlikely to set our team on fire, but great crosser, passer, long distance shooter and set piece expert (just ask anyone at our game v them a few years back). Player I'd welcome with open arms.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know his father in law, i'll find out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris Brunt has more than a year left on his contract. Must have been talking about FM 13!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 20:17:37
Think he signed a new deal at west brom although I do like him as a player energetic has a great shot on him in fact has a lot going for him just a shame he doesn't have bags of pace

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought he had a year left or two aswell but googled it and sure enough his contract is up july 1st 2013, they are in talks with him and it looks like he would sign back on but personally if I was martinez i'd ring the kid and say look lad why not come be a part of a big club you and baines could be a decent left side the balls into jelavic or marouane would be insane, its all just a rumour but who knows

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris Brunt is a good player to fill in the team and give it depth. Won't mind Brunt but no more then a bench player

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2013 01:03:01
According to

Chris Brunt is out of contract at the end of June 13.

Several websites linking us to young Belgian defender/midfielder Bernard Malanda-Adje. Any truth in this young talented lad Ed? {Ed025's Note - i have heard rumours joss, but nothing certain mate..

Believable6 Unbelievable6

25 Jun 2013 11:27:00
According to press reports 'negrado' doesn't fancy move to everton as he wants to join a club playing in the champions league. Fair enough, but I reckon it's time for Martinez now to switch his attentions to 'Wilfred bony' - this guy is awesome in front of goal (something like 30 in 31 games last season in a competive league) & can become a legend at our club if he signs, just the sort of genuine 20+ goals a season we have been waiting for now for many years!

Believable14 Unbelievable6

25 Jun 2013 12:11:10
So did Kezman and Afonso Alves if I remember rightly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah. just like Alfonso Alves was for Boro?. And his Dutch record was even more clinical haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

His record is in the Dutch league. The same league Afonso Alves scored 45 in 39, Dirk Kuyt scored 71 in 101 and Shandy Andy was viewed as a world class talent. Don't be disappointed if we miss out on him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love to have him get the feeling he'd do well for us, but Newcastle have apparently had a £10m bid rejected, do we have money to bid higher?

MikeyEFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Hard to argue Zacki! Just a small stumbling block which kinda sux. We don't have the 20-25 Million he will go for.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 15:10:54
I can imagine it would take around 14m to get VA to let him go. I take the scoring figures from eredivise with a pinch of salt like you fellas but i've watched Bony play numerous times and he's built for the premiership. So strong, quick, powerful, natural finisher with the ability to hold the ball and link oncoming midfielders! He is an obvious upgrade from Kone but money is the issue. I genuinely think he is perfect for this league, in the way Benteke proved to be! Love to see him lead our line with two flyers coming off either flank alongside him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez had a decent record in Holland and seems to have done well.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 20:42:31
Bony is built for the prem, and whoever gets him is getting a very good striker that's for sure

Swansea City and Norwich City have had 2 million pound bids accepted for Nathan Redmond. Looks like we could miss out on him. Shame as he a skilful and quick winger. Would have him over a 27 yr old McGeady any day.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Strange how people constantly telling me who we've missed out on you don't know if any bid went in it's a rumour. This is a rumour site, maybe it should be re named Rage against the Rumour there is so much of it on hear. we have not lost out on anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with this, why spend 4m on Mcgreedy when you can get a young lad with more potential for half the price
Cheeks

Agree0 Disagree0

Me too - better option than McGeady IMHO

Agree0 Disagree0

So if he's good enough for Swansea and Norwich then he's good enough for us then is what your saying. Get some ambition man and stop crying.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but we where set to bid 3m for him

Agree0 Disagree0

So its crying when a hot young talent could go to another team when we are interested in him. And as for ambition who do you want or is 27 yr old mcgeady the man united want. Or maybe messi. Wake up m8 a highly talented england u21 winger is ambition and he cheaper and can give more years than mcgeady can. No tears but and opinion that's all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reply 4, that's clearly not what anyone is saying. Rather, here is a talented player we've recently been linked with (and, incidentally, were linked with last season) for whom 2 other teams have had relatively small bids accepted.

Rightly or wrongly, we are currently perceived in the press as being one of the two most inactive Premiership teams in the transfer market, the other being Stoke. Bearing in mind that we've all been here before and that we were assured that, this year, money WAS available, isn't it pretty understandable that a number of us are beginning to get frustrated?

Agree0 Disagree0

In a word No, the window hasn't even opened yet!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 20:22:41
Away from the arguing I will talk about the player himself he has pace power (not as in strength like fellaini but has that short burst were he can run through anyone like ben arfa) and has bags of tricks and at 2-4m he would be a steal arsenal have ox liverpool have sterling Manchester United have zaha tottenham have townsend and he could be our type of player that young talent who has everything a young winger needs great buy if we get him (hope we do) imo

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmm, that closed window doesn't seem to have stopped Villa, Sunderland, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, West Ham, Southampton, Swansea, Fulham and Hull (or more than half the teams in the Premiership) all from signing players does it?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 09:54:54
Hi folk, if fellainis move to aresenal falls through it could scupper our record transfer from spain. Blue billy

Believable5 Unbelievable9

We don't know. Ask Roberto and BK.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no record transfer from Spain even if Fellaini leaves. I reckon we have about £5m to spend without sales, seeing as we've got some big earners off the wage bill.

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep dreaming mate we won't spend big in Spain at all we will sign kone for five million big difference from big signing 15+ to relagated 5 million pound player until club is sold there will not be 15 million plus deals

Agree0 Disagree0

There won't be a record signing from Spain beleive me

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal have said they are not willing to pay more than 20. so there fore they are out the game.

Chelsea or abroad. He won't be with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you any idea who it may be billy?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 09:06:51
Fellani.

I did mention about Manchester United trying to nail down the signing.
That has now fallen thru.

I can now confirm that unless Chelsea come in for him, That is the only way we will see him in the Prem League. Otherwise he will go to Spain/Germany
He has a number 1 requirement, when playing,
HE IS A MIDFIELD PLAYER. Not a 2nd striker.

Chelsea need a replacement for Lampard.

It is believed Chelsea will come in with a 26 million bid next week, We want 30, but they will start the ball rolling by the end of next week.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

What about the much touted £24m release clause for teams in the Champions League?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we wanted 30 the buy out clause would be 30

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact that you mention we want £30m dismantles your credibility in one fell swoop when his buy-out is nearer £24m. Stop talking nonsense as if you're some kind of insider on the deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wonder if psg will come in for fellaini, they seem short on midfielders

Agree0 Disagree0

A buy out clause is a minimum.

People need to get a grip. credibility? its a rumour site with none De plum posters, yer jim henson creation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would they come in with a 26 bid and us hold out for 30 when his release clause is 23?

Agree0 Disagree0

A buy out clause is a, erm, buy out clause. So, for example it's £24m. Arsenal bid £24m, Everton can't refuse it. Now Manchester United want him, they're not going to bid more because they don't have to. They will bid £24m. Then chelski enter the mix, and they bid, say, £24m and they are free to talk to him. It won't go up a penny even if there are 50 teams bidding for him.
Therefore any mention of £30m destroys credibility for someone who's implying they have an inside knowledge of the deal.

Jim Henson creations

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone is missing the point with the Fellaini deal. yes his buy out clause is 24m, however if Arsenal come up with the money and Chelsea also come into the race with a 26m bid and PSG for example come in with a 28m bid, then we naturally except the bid from PSG: So although he has a buy out clause of 24m, that is not the maximum he can go for.
Sailor

Agree0 Disagree0

Sailer- Why would chelski offer £26m and/or PSG offer £28m for him when they only have to offer £24m? I'm afraid it is you who's missing the point. It's not rocket science. Then other factors come into play. Wages, location, chances of winning trophies etc, etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people just don't understand what a release clause is. If there is a £24m release clause, any club that proves they have £24m to spend can talk to the player. Nobody is going to bid more than the release fee, ever. If there are several clubs competing for the player, they offer higher wages, the release fee stays the same. It's not that hard to understand, is it?

It's all doom doom doom, we are going down for sure, I will never win the lottery, I hate my job my wife the kids the dog and even the bloody goldfish, please god just take me now because there is nothing left to live for, the kit is sh**e, the badge is even shi**ier, Martinez is rubbish and Bill needs flogging. the ground is a pile of rubble, the hot dogs cost four frigging pound aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mate. I think were totally skint. Always stuck up for bill but its so quiet at the club. Nothing happening at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't agree more it seems we have anew manager but same old billy no money available. unless we sell first what a croc.

Agree0 Disagree0

So I guess you guys will be buying the club instead and pumping your own funds in there. ?

Oh yeah, that's right. your skint too obviously.

To those complaining about the 'lack of action', give it a rest will you. Do you want to make the squad better, or do you want to just sign the most players. If you want the second, go support the Reds as they seem to think signing the most amount of players is the way to go, regardless of how good they are.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you serious? We're not even in the official transfer window. And how is players like Moses, Fer, Negredo and Honda (Who is cheap but is quality) not big players.

BlueHaze

Agree0 Disagree0

Weve got players lined up we just haven't got money to buy them! We need to sell before we can buy

Agree0 Disagree0

You do know that he hasn't actually met the squad yet? Its not even july yet FFS the transfer windows still closed!

Agree0 Disagree0

Manage didn't start work till 1/7/13 how many clubs have spent money now. Liverpool have and Man U man city that's it give us a break we, ll going to be all rite

Agree0 Disagree0

Has a budget of 20mill + 100% of the proceeds of sales. Give the man some time, unless you want him to lash out on bargains like say 35 mill for andy carrol, or 12mill for charlie adems.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 14:39:04
I don't think that we are as skint as you are making out. but I don't agree that we should wait a while before we sign players. we need to buy players before other clubs beat us to them. oh yeah we were going to sign such and such but next week but someone got there before us. that would pi$$ me off

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will buy a few players but being an everton I know from the past we link are selfs with good players then end buying few squad players, apart from the felliani transfer of course

poeple who were saying soldado and negerdo need to realise there never going to happen so get used to it

Agree0 Disagree0

How does that work then, Everton linking themselves to players? Isn't that the media's job? I would've thought Everton would conduct business on the quiet so as not to alert other clubs to our targets.

Agree0 Disagree0
