Not sure all I know is he's looking for places down south and has been told to prepare himself for bid. The source was a family member who has no reason to lie he's gutted but has been told its for the gud ov the club so he's reluctantly agreed ?!?
Agree6
Disagree2
I've said this myself in the past because I had a good source (player agent) tell me. He didn't state that it was a fact but claimed it was a strong possibility that Rodwell will be leaving for Chelsea with a fee around £20 million, the only thing I was unsure of was whether it was during the january window or the summer.

Nice to hear Jack is taking one for the team...what BS.."he s gutted" but "he s agreed " Roll on Tuesday night then.

To be honest this all adds up work it out we are currently looking at this adrien silva right? midfielder so moyes is buying a midfielder to replace rodwell so he can sell rodwell then buy a striker with the funds from that deal 20 million all think about it i personally know thats exactly what moyes is doing because why would he be looking for a midfielder when we dont need one its a striker we need so obviously this is a deal thats bound to happen and no doubt it will happen on deadline day now i know you guys will disagree to this but you know what these windows are like on the last day

For 20mil, I would not be happy to see Rodwell leave, but if it meant we could perhaps reinvest the money back into the squad and rebuild the squad, then I am all for it.
It really does feel like Rooney left, I know Rooney is a class player, but when we sold him we were able to rebuild and the next season we finished 4th.
I would take Barkley over Rodwell anyday, especially given the fact we have Fellaini, who i rate more than Rodwell.
Barkley and Fellaini are the two we need to build our squad around, those two in the middle of our midfield could become dominant in games, and those are the 2 I desperately want to keep.
Of course, we wont see all of the money if he leaves, but maybe 10mil and Billy money to find a midfielder and a striker and I think we would be in much more better shape than what we are currently.
Agree1

I agree with the post above we need to build the team around Barkley Fellani and Baines and tbh I think Barkley is a perfect replacement for Cahill

not sure how much is in the rumours about lambert but the saints have just signed another striker. Also those saying lambert would never play for us because he is a kopite.. i can name half of the kopite "legends" that were once on the blue side. Personally i think he deserves a chance to show what he can do and would sign him in an instant taking into account the fact that we have less money than the local tramps

Heres a point we have spent reportadly say 1mil in coming up 3 years now and that was the little money we had off arteta, becks and the yak therefore kenright has not invested into us for years and all the loans hes took the banks want now so we get like 5% of every player sale which means we got about 500k for arteta which is apparently what we spent on Gibson
Agree4
Disagree4
In all fairness, investment in the squad isn't all about tranfer fee's....
(we've re-negotiated a fair few contracts to get the better players on long terms deals for lots more ££ in the past few years).
Plus a lot of tranfer fee's are staged over up to 3 years, so it's not that straight forward.
Unfortunately, in most cases, the new big contracts have probably been done not to protect our assets and keep them long term, but more to increase their transfer value because we know some of them need to be sold imminently!
We're not in a good position right now & we're not going to get any realistic take-over in the short term, so we've got to look at the assets we've got and sacrifise one or two, to then bring in 3 or 4 new faces (it's critical Moysey get's those acquisitions right though...no more Bilys)!!
In my opinion, Rodwell is the best optionto look at (although I'd like him to stay and develop with us). He's obvioulsy talented, but in all fairness, he's not been outstanding for Everton and if we get £20+m for him, it may even turn out to be good business (not quite as good as Newcastles business with the kopites for Carroll, though :)
We need freshening up - need a quality striker desperately & a top right back (something similar to Kyle Walker, to compliment Bainsey down the left) and things would look so much better.
Here's hoping!!

I found this on daily post Everton are targeting Academica Coimbra striker Eder, but West Ham have also joined the chase to sign the player from the Portugese club.
It is thought a bid of around £2million could land the 24-year-old, but a loan deal could also be an option for the Blues.

Eder's goals to game ratio is really poor for a striker, looks like clutching at affordable straws to me just to appease the fans. I won't be ecstatic if we sign him. 80 apps 12 goals he's sh!t. Can nobody else see this. Better off keeping the money (if we have it). Jo all over again. AbergeleBlue

He is a really good young player who if I'm not mistaken has already been called up to the Greek senior squad great value for money another bargain for David moyes he pucks out some very good bargains but also has in recent blown a fair amount of money on average players or players who have not performed to great for us but none the less David moyes knows a bargain when he sees one

Why are we getting excited when rumours re forwards. moysie doesnt like strikers.simple as. look at his history with them. name a forward who he gave a decent run out to apart from saha at moment and he not scoring. who cares what forward he bings in for 1/2/3 mil. thats why their that price. they will be given 2/3 games then dropped for 10. he will however extend victors contact by 100 years. then he will sign some lad from division 1 explaining to the fans that the lad is learning and has a bit to do and then give him 5 mins per game and then get rid. unless we get investment we cannot compete for top strikers. my question is why we got rid of beckford. he mite have been rubbish in open play but he hit the net 11 times last season been given the odd start ere and there. we all be raving if someone could hit the net 11 times now given full games. same old story. ps he will however sell and sign round 10 second choice keepers in this transfer window {Ed025's Note - you sound as frustrated as me mate..
Agree5

It's just been on SSN. It may have happened a while ago but both clubs have just confirmed it. The fee is thought to be around £3m....
Agree4

QPR have offered City £4m which is what the asking price was, however his mother has cancer and he doesn't want to move away. He said that he wants to go to Everton. It'd 99% on loan although he'd like it to be a permanent. This comes from a very reliable source (dealing with most everton deals) also we got 5.7m euros for Billy.
Agree1
Disagree2
Oh Moysie doesnt like fwds, and Moysie does this and that and Moysie doesnt like whatever! Listen to yourselves!!! Give the poor bloke a break will you. At this rate he will do one and that will be the end of our prem status probably. Suppose you'll all then turn on the groundsmen or the program sellers as it has to be someones fault doesnt it! {Ed025's Note - i would love to know who you blame?
Agree2
Disagree1
Well how far back do you want to go? Maybe the redsh&te for getting us expelled from Europe when we won the league in 87? Maybe I dont blame anyone and just love supporting this club for all its faults and for all the great things it has acheived. Maybe I have more respect for a man that took us to 4th in the League and almost to the Champs League not so long ago and the Chairman that gave him the job and supported him ever since. All I am saying is that if so called fans dont like it at the moment as we havent got £15M to blow on one player maybe they should go support someone else? We dont need it, its tough times, yes but the club will move on. Shame that all the good feeling of the club is trying to torn out and now people are turning on Moyes! Can you actually believe it Moyes himself. Thats the idea, drive him out of the club like any prospective buyer by hyping all the negatives. {Ed025's Note - hyping the negatives is not the case mate..its about telling it like it is!....you cant be happy with the state of the club, and neither are we, its pure concern...that if things dont change, we could find ourselves out of the top flight...and that would be a disaster!, but one thing i will say, is that come the next game, we should all sing and chant as loud as we can, and encourage the guys to hopefully a victory..
Agree1
Disagree1
Ed this post re moyes and the negatives is spot on. I would like to see other managers guide a side without the ability to spend (on who they really want). Its simple logic ... No money equals lower standards equals lower league position. Until a wealthy owner takes over we need to support the 11 more than ever. I don't and won't blame moyes for the demise, the finances and our ability to attract big signing won't change soon.
If your website is to support such negatives (as your comments suggest) then it will harm the club - guaranteed. Premiership status is paramount. Support is essential during these times. If fans continue to be divided then the club is fooked! {Ed025's Note - i dont want to sound negative, its just that we are all frustrated, that our great club seems to be going backwards..

They will drag it out till the last day just like the Arteta deal ,then say they didnt have time to spend the money ....The money then goes into Kenwrights pocket .

Seriously to some of the above, go and support another side. Had enough of reading all the negativity and critiscisms if you dont like it and you cant help but have a go just save yourself the trouble and stress and go support City or Utd or Chelsea. Cheers {Ed025's Note - i think you are getting confused..between, negativity and concern..the fans dont want to moan, they are just frustrated at the demise of our great club..
Agree2

To all the negative above, go and support someone else will ya, all you do is criticise and moan. If you hate it so much go and support City, Chelsea or Barcelona. {Ed025's Note - how very dare you!!

With the greatest respect Ed have you actually read the above? Doesnt read like concern to me more like a load of slagging off. Rather not hear it. And can you hear yourself, the demise of our club??? what are you on about! Is it really that serious yet? Are the administrators knocking at the door? or are we keeping afloat but not spending loads of money we dont have ala the Johnson era? {Ed025's Note - to be honest..i think we are in serious trouble...we are losing money hand over fist, and if you think that administration is impossible..then you are more naive than i thought!

Mallorca have made an initial enquiry re John Heitinga. Move isn't welcomed by EFC but if they are to recoup the 7.5m spent in '09 they may well look to move him and his £65,000/week deal on. Could lead to Onuoha finally getting his move within the North West and a deal for Clyne on the cards. Interesting week ahead at EFC

I don't rate him and if we could get 5m+ for him I would sell we are ok at the back know we have not kept many clean sheets but have not conceded many just not scored that many that's why we are in this position we need a striker first priority no gambles someone who knows where the net is

If Moyes doesn't push thru with a top striker thru the door expect to see Maynard to Wiigan with Hugo coming to Goodison given he has 4 months left on a current deal. Benefits Wiigan and Everton at the last minute if no other deals of thru. Expect to see a similar feein both deals- around £2m

Nathaniel Clyne and Wilfried Zaha (young captain and star player at Palace) RB and LW in position, will come under a lot of interest before the window closes. Everton interested in Clyne. A disciplined right back with admirers such as Fergie after they won at OT. Would be a real coup for Moyes, similar to Walker/Naughton/Richards in style at full back. Moyes was told he wouldn't leave until after last nights CC semi final at the earliest. Expect a fee of £3.5m-£5m for this long term acquisition if it comes to fruition. Hearing it's the preferred option over Nedum Onuoha. Cheers

Hearing Vellios will sign a new deal running until 2016 after this window has closed. Terms around £15k with progressive increments dependent on performance and development. A la Barkley's and Rodwell's deals in the past. In addition Louis Saha will not be offered a new deal before his current one expires in June. Seems he will be a free agent to find a club from there. Cheers

Varela of Porto is a name that isn't going away. Has showed a lot starting 30 games with 9 goals from the left wing (he's right footed) in the season before last. He broke his leg and hasn't hit the height since returning about 6 months ago. Plays on the opposite wing to Hulk. Any deal likely to be a loan with view to permanent contract. Valued by Porto at 7m with his contract running until June 2015.
Cheers

Why would David Moyes broadcast who he was trying to sign? if he did then other prem clubs ( Spurs/Villa/the Toons &Reds**te) would come in and snap them up under our noses like in the past! i believe alot of these names been thrown out are just smoke screens and the Real chasing is been done by the Everton scouts and Moyes. We will get a striker and creative midfielder from the billy sale. your guess is as good as mine.
