I'd rather he goes to Chelsea over anywhere else in England, to be honest.

Liverpool: don't even think about it
Arsenal: not enough of a step up to justify leaving yet

i really don't see what the fuss is about js , I have watched him in every game he has played and I do not think he is as good as everyone says ok he has age on his side but what is the point of keeping someone who does not want to play for everton and people are forgetting the man he plays beside who covers a lot of cracks every week(jags) deserves some credit, so wish him luck and let him go there will always be another in the wings, move on

My cousin is mates with john stones agent, he wants to leave as there offering £120k per week, but he has definitely has Not put a transfer request in, the club have had a offer of 35 million with add ons witch they see as to good to turn down but have asked him to go along with the transfer request story to save face after all the talk of not letting him go at all costs! If he wants to go it should not be sanctioned until a replacement is bought and then at a price that we value him at not what Chelsea want to pay. There is no loyalty in football nowadays. Players play for the noughts in there bank accounts only.

Already said it but I agree with most comments on here regarding Stones. I hope the Club do a Levy and stick strongly to their guns, if he is to leave then slap a true valuation on him (40-45 mill), stick rigidly to it and let all suitors know that. Also not allowed to leave until a like for like replacement is signed.

I know that players play for money these days but really what can we offere long term, nothing, develop for 5 years then you can move you might even get a semi finals in the fa cup on the way, we haven't won anything for 20 years we don't compete at the highest level so deciding maybe the guys who won the league last year and are a mainstay in the champs league is just a money thing is daft, maybe a factor but that's all

I expected him to go but because the bid made us want to sell him rather than him forcing a move away. If he goes I want a better centre half than the one we've bid for. We need someone with experience of British football.

If Chelsea said john your up and coming and were willing to pay you 10k a week until you play 25 plus games a season for us.

He would want to play for Everton instead.

I want him to stay ed like you but let's look objectively. Have we offered him more than his 30k a week? Is he worth more? Yes. Can we offer him anything other than midtable mediocracy? No. Can they offer him money and more? Yes. I'm in a similar situation at my work. Love the company love the people but for me to establish the life I want I require more than they can offer and it's not just my salary mate it's my personal objectives in life.
Just get as much as we can. Move on. Last time this happened we finished 4th.
Is there a guy called Sammy Mayhill in the championship or a Spanish kid called pickled marteta we can pick up on the sly like last time?

I understand all the crap about winning trophies an all but all he can see is pound signs in front of his eyes plus the timeing of this transfer request leaves a lot to be desired he must of known a couple of weeks back that he wanted to join the crap from Stamford bridge so he leaves it till a week before the transfer window so we have limited time to replace him as it turns out he is just like sterling didn't think I would be saying that let's just hope everton stay firm on what they have been saying from the start and he is not for sale if he is still at the club it will be very intresting to see what reaction he will get from the crowd on match day.

Good point Duke, the timing is poor. The transfer window needs to shut on July 31st not August 31st. Squads need to be finalised before the start of the season, so we don't have this situation.

Barca interested in Yarma ding dong, that is on countback the 5th or 6th Club he has been touted to, we are better off out. As for funds (God knows where the TV money goes) at the moment 500k for Leandro would appear to be our limit, so odds on Stones to Chelsea with the bookies. My take and hope is that with 7 days to go, should Chelsea put in a 40 mill bid it should also be rejected and the Club sticks to their guns. No PR for months and then they wheel out Martinez and his waffle maker.

Can't believe what I'm reading on this sounds like a load of Newcastle fans who still believe there a top side a limited budget means you can't bring in everyone like on champ manager. Everton are one of the teams who are in the best of the rest category which means the transfers reflect this, the manager can only do what he can with a small budget and this calling for his name and smashing into him is disgusting rather then looking over the fence we need to look at our own garden and see what we have to work with not the tools others have at their disposal if we got behind the players instead of getting on their backs that could be more productive. Times of the people's club seem to have gone a long time ago
