ive just heard troare will only be available for the last 10 or so games? is this true ed?

Believable6 Unbelievable8

{Ed025's Note - i dont know why you think that WB, he passed a medical mate..

He thinks that because that's what Martinez said In his press conference.

Agree2 Disagree0

I suppose it all comes down to whether your a glass half empty/full person as to how you read what Martinez actually said. I read it as, it will take time for Traore to get used to the premier league and that he expects him to have a big impact for the last ten games of the season. I therefore think he will be playing well before then but we may not see the best of him til the crucial run in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey

Martinez stated he is "at the back end of a soft tissue injury" in terms of a hamstring injured picked up at Anzi. The Stevenage/Liverpool game has come too soon. The way Bobby is talking suggests he will be in contention for the last 14/15 league games of the season together with a cup run, hopefully

This is a great plan from Bobby, we all know Lukaku has not been at his best so now he knows that in 3 games from now he will be on the bench unless he ups his game

Agree0 Disagree0

According to RM, yes he's injured but will be useful to us in run in.
Disappointing this, we need an extra striker now.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's because he's got a hamstring injury

Agree0 Disagree0

Landon Donovan only played 10 games an he was effective? And plus he will play more games than that

Agree0 Disagree0

If you watch the video on the OS RM almost trips up and says 'he's not allowed' to play until the final 9-10 games, maybe because he's injured or that is the agreement (we've rented him for 10 games max)

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted on the west ham page sometime back after traore had passed his medical,,
that one he had an hamstring injury that prevented him from training and 2 he has not played since late october.
the west ham medical were not happy with his condition was not expected to play until march.

Heard McArthur is having a medical tomorrow? Any truth in that Ed?

Believable7 Unbelievable12

{Ed025's Note - I really don't know mate..

He was at the training ground starting his coaching badges apparently

Also, sorry to post again. just read that traore will wear no.19. Isn't that gueye's number? Anything behind that?

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Gueye is off to Brest (team he was on loan at) 3 mill

Agree2 Disagree1

No 20? Lol

Agree0 Disagree1

Barkley is number 20

Anyone know when traore will be fit enough to play?

Lads looked shattered and devoid of energy against Brom. Little worried about our midfield, esp with Barry, Leon not having the legs any longer and Barkley out. Do we see any reinforcements in the central area possibly coming in?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

We did look little jaded but pitch did not help at west brom. Robby has said no more signings but I would not rule out last minute move. We do need a defensive midfielder as back up

Agree1 Disagree0

Defensive midfielder? Need a attacking midfielder, got enough defensive ones already.

Anyone tell me what a lazy rumour is. Is it posted by a lazy person about a lazy footballer?. Seems to be buzz word at the moment

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - it's one without substance or foundation..

It's one which is just made up by putting 2 and 2 together, rather than having any solid lead; I.e. when we where linked with the entire Wigan squad after Martinez came. It's the journalist's being lazy and just making it up.

Made up with the signings so far but Martinez said at the start of the window we where going to get cover for kone and Gibson. So I still think we will sign another player on a permanent deal to replace jela. And if Jonny goes we may see another defender coming in I would love martins indi.

Unless RM has had reassurances we will have the funds for lukaku in the summer and he wants to wait untill the summer I believe we will still see some unexpected activity around finch farm

Believable4 Unbelievable3

24 Jan 2014 19:41:40
No mate, getting another striker now would be pointless unless lukaku gets injured for the rest of the season, he will wait until the summer, if heitinga goes it won't matter, he still have jags, distin, stones, barry, alcaraz and hibbert who can all play there, not to mention tyias browning who martinez has said is ready for the first team, I expect another midfielder to come in but getting another striker or centre back now would be pointless

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we desperately need a defensive minded midfielder as we only have Barry and McCarthy and RM did say that replacing Gibbo and Kone was a priority yet he's stated that business is closed?!?!

And the guarantee we'd be stronger at the end of the window seems to be hollow if what he says, business is closed, is true.

I could understand if he was holding out for value in the summer, but why make promises he can't fulfil unless he's bluffing, of course?

I don't believe we need a CB even if Heitinga leaves but I would've thought a CM/CDM was essential if we harbour any genuine hopes of CL?!

Haven't read all the way down these rumours, so call it lazy if you will incase it's already been mentioned! Saw on another rumour site that we are interested in Jay Rodriguez from Saints. Any truth in the matter?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - we would be mc, but it's not happening mate..

24 Jan 2014 17:21:28
Ed do you know if the Traore deal will be completed in time for him to feature in the derby?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - I would expect so joe, but don't expect him to figure anyway mate..

Why not ed Martinez said in an interview 2 days ago he was a couple of days away from full fitness

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - too big a game to throw him in for me lew, but that's just my opinion mate..

Yeah true but I can see him possibly making the bench and coming on for 25 mins or so depending on the result and his fitness

Agree0 Disagree0

If he's fit I'm sure he'll feature put the s---s up their defence for sure

rumours on Man U pages that young being offered as bait for any possible deals. One player Everton certainly don't want or need.
How would a forward line with Rooney and Torres appeal to fans. Won't go down well with some, but sure Martinez could have same effect as Benitez had with Torres. Would see some goals then.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

24 Jan 2014 18:09:43
I have no idea what you said

Agree4 Disagree0

Did you seriously just say that we should buy Rooney and Torres? Yeah, that's a great idea. I'm sure if Bill checks down the back of the couch or in the washing machine he could easily scrape together £50m.

If the Lacina Traore deal falls through Everton may move to get Salomon Rondon aged 24 of Rubin Kazan. The striker is willing to take a pay cut to move away from the Russian side.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Just recovered from a metatarsal injury so risky

Agree1 Disagree0

Done deal on ssn

For Traore yes?!

how about this for a name
Jonathan Soriano Casas, a Spaniard who plays for Red Bull Salzburg, was a mate of Del Boys at Barcelona B scored 59 goals in 84 appearances. and has scored 41 scored in 57 for Salzburg. wouldn't be a bad signing in the summer. he is 28, But great goalscoring record

Believable3 Unbelievable7

If it's names you like I'd rather go with Rod Fanni or Creedence Clearwater Couto, or one to definatly make you laugh, get 'David Moyes' as manager! Lol

If Martinez is keeping his money to try buy Lukaku in the summer I think it will be a big mistake don't get me wrong he is a decent player but he is not the goal machine we have craved for so long.Chelsea will want 25mill plus for him I just think if were going to spend that much surely there is better around for that sort of cash.

Believable11 Unbelievable4

I agree. A long way off that valuation. Has great potential but hold-up play and first touch need to improve massively.
blueimp

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if we are going to stick with one up front then really for that role which is not just about goals there is not too many better options who a)we could afford b) would want to join us c) are as young with the potential to develop much further.
I have said a few times I think he is being rated to highly for his performances this season. Has been very hot and cold for me. However he does have enormous potential and he seems to be a very bright and grounded guy as well.
Ultimately CL or no CL next season I just can't see him signing permanently for us, sadly he will have so many options including Chelsea next season

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree stef. Think he can be a bit hot and cold. He seems quite lazy to me. Doesn't win many headers and his first touch can be awful. If were going to spend that sort of money that chelsea would be asking then there is a lot better than him

Agree1 Disagree1

Sorry if this upsets folk but from what I have seen over the past couple of games grips my s##t, watching him mope around the pitch huffing and puffing when the ball is not put exactly to his feet along with never going in for the second tackle. Calling it burnout does not wash with me that's why I think it was a mistake to sell jela! I know the goals dried up but his workload was fantastic. Even only half way through the season Lakaku looks like he cannot be bothered anymore.

Agree2 Disagree0

Totally agree lancer
