If it is final that Ross Barkley has no intention whatsoever of staying at Everton. for whatever his reasons may be. then in my opinion, set up a swap deal with Chelsea for Batshuyai. They probably value him at around £40m+ so we then get our much needed target man/ striker. Evertonians should recall that this lad had all but signed for us a little while back, his Father told everyone in Europe at that time that "for his son to play for Everton FC would be a dream ". Batshuyai certainly puts himself about and is still very young, but now has Premier League experience and I think Chelsea would be intrested in a deal! What say you folks. Yes. No?

Ed002 just wondering, is it just the swap proposed by the OP that's not going to happen or do we also have no chance of signing Batshuayi as I think he could be a fairly able Rom replacement.

yeh, swap deals usually are a fan thing that rarely work in real life. if they do it is because one club is getting the better deal, cause they have a team desperate to take a player at any cost, so offer a replacement. how any one could get a good deal from an injured player (hamstring barks. ) could maybe make a loan bid for mitchy or the guy from leicester, altho it is a bit late in the day to hang around waiting to find out if a player fancies making the switch. jiminez may not be prolific, but we are looking for a target man someone for our other players to play off we should not ask how many goals he can bring but whether he can hold the ball up and bring people into the game cause this is what walshy and koeman are looking for.

morning ED02 are there any updates on a striker or LCB that Ronald wants or do you expect it to be done on deadline day when I think a lot of deals will be done with clubs lowering prices to try n move players on to bring their own targets in.

Looks like Raul Jimenez is the closest target we have right now. I think I'd prefer Slimani.

Ed, with Shakespeare saying that they could sell Slimani for the right price is there any firm interest out there for him from us?
