Eds, lots of rumours regarding strikers, defenders and midfielders. but given bolasie recovery, Aaron Lennon's recovery, possible sale of deleofeu. are Everton looking for wingers or is Calvert lewin and lookman seen as options instead?

{Ed002's Note - Seemingly not an immediate priority.}

Cheers ed. just dawned on me that no such targets mentioned, which possibly, means sticking with what we have. but seem a little light in that dept. time for young lads to step up. could be a great opportunity for them.

Looks like we use kev, bolasie, Lennon (unless he leaves) with lookman and Dominic (and ross if he stays) as back up. Looks ok to me. Can also play narrow with full backs providing width. a'la chelsea 343.

Agree, Geoff, it tells me. at least so far that he's going to give lookman and Dom, a significant opportunity next season. I like both tbh. still improving but making all right noises so far. obviously has enough faith in them. also wondering if shani tarashaj will get an opportunity or be loaned out again?

I'd be stunned if we didn't strengthen in that area. Lennon is not an option. Calvert Lewin is not a wide man. Sure we'll see plenty more in yet boys.

I do believe we have players in who can play and spot a pass. Lookman can go past players and pick a pass. Klassen can pick a pass and score goals. Schneiderlin can pick a pass and defend. Gaye can defend. That leaves Bolasie with a bit more freedom to attack with (hopefully)
Ramirez to attack and he can go past players and finish.

More reports linking us to Keene and Gray at Burnley. As both only have one year left on their contracts, you'd think this was a double deal we could get over the line if we wanted to. Makes me think they can't be first choice and we must be looking at other targets first. Could still happen though if other deals don't come off. Thoughts Ed?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea about "reports" sorry.}

23 Jun 2017 11:33:59
Keane would likely be first choice as he'd walk into or defence. Gray shouldn't even be being considered.

Sorry Ed, I meant thoughts on whether you believe they're realistic targets rather than the report itself.
Ander - I agree about Keene.
Undecided on Gray - 9 Prem goals in a team that can't score isn't too shabby, you'd have to think that with twice as many chances he'd score twice as many goals.
I'm sure we have targets higher up on the list but you never know.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the interest in Keane.}

AB that's the problem, last season anyone could walk into our defence and quite often straight through it. 😀.

Keane would be my choice as I think VVD is not an option for 2 reasons due to competition from other clubs and could take all summer to get a deal done and we don't want to be left in limbo, so getting Keane is a must, and see where we are in January who knows we could be in with a shout of getting him then or following summer depending on us being in champions league places and him staying at Southampton.
As for gray I would buy at right price and like the chap said he scored 9 goals for a team that did not create or score a lot, listen he know some where the net is so he will get more chances him and Sandro for est 10-20 million is bargain business.

I quite like gray. I think id be happier with other options but I wouldn't be unhappy.

Looking to do a swap deal for both, with Burnley taking McCarthy and Niasse in retur.

Ed is sandro and is agent playing hard ball or is it malaga? what's the deal your is it all because he is on duty for spain an is waiting for that to be over.

{Ed002's Note - And the transfer window not being open.}

23 Jun 2017 09:32:03
rumours are Malaga are dragging their heels, but of course the window has not yet opened.

I wouldn't be surprised if Malaga are delaying hoping that someone else comes into play so as to start a bidding war. They aren't happy with his termination clause and may see this tactic as a way to get more money from the deal.

dembele? played in England before and wasn't sensational

gray? average season in the premier league mid table signing at best

bacca? been shocking for a very por Milan team for 2 seasons now

feel free to mention anyone else every player were oinked with is a risk but you have to think koeman and walsh have more of an eye for talent than you do :)

Sorry thought Dembele did well for Fulham, and that's why Celtic bought him.
