Howerd is not going to be offered the job, and we all know why, but please give the man some respect. He's still our most sucssesful manager, and his problem is a desese not a choice.

I worshiped him as a player, my first ever football hero was howard, and the same goes again when he was our most successful manager ever. so come on stop taking the p. ss and show the man some respect and treat him like the legend he is and deserves to be.

He is a club legend and would love to see him offered a role at the club. The man has forgotten more about football than those mocking him on here will ever know!

Ed025, do you believe that IF Moyes leaves Everton this summer (which I don't believe he will) that Roberto Martinez may be sought by the club to replace him? If not him, then who do you think may come in?

As do I Ed025 mate. Personally I think that he would be unwise to leave. If Fellaini were to leave (which there is a fair chance) for sort of 20-25 million pounds you could become a much, much stronger club. If you were to invest it in say Honda, Fer and perhaps Negredo you would have a seriously tasty side. If not Negredo then someone such as Michu or Benteke.

We would have to perform out of our skins next season to finish above you, and if you did finish above us for the 3rd season in a row, then I hate to say it but I would be hard pushed to argue with anyone who said Everton are the bigger club on Merseyside.

Having said that, "Next season will be our year" ;-)

His uncle is Roston Drenthe, that should be enough to set the alarm bells ringing at Goodison :-)

We've been linked to quite a few players in the past few days, the Honda and Negredo rumours seemed to have gone off the boil a bit. Who can you see realistically coming in Ed? {Ed025's Note - honda is still very much on the radar mike, as is fer and lescott..
